I was on my bed lying on my back looking at the ceiling. There was a beautiful painting on it. Who would paint their ceiling that fancily? It was a painting of a dragon lounging on a mountain, looking over a city. There was a man sitting beside the dragon though the man is turned away so I couldn't see his face I have a feeling that it was Aro. Did he ride the dragon? I wanted to know where the city is, it looks beautiful.
"don't you have a date? Why aren't you getting ready?" his voice sounded, it's like just thinking about him somehow conjured him. I had totally forgotten about the lie. Now I need to get ready and go out for him to believe it. Thankfully there is a party for the new interns of the office. Or I would have to wander aimlessly for an hour or two and return. Now I at least have something to do. Though there is a matter of that short red dress. But because I am a witch, I can easily alter it as soon as I am out of Aro's sight.
He was looking for something on a bedside table, opening several drawers and closing them, he moved to the shelves pulling out books, and when he didn't find what he was looking for he moved through the wall into the next. He does it now and then as it used to be his room there are still some things of his are left here, though I have seen him carrying an armload of things to somewhere.
The room was spacious, with beautifully painted high ceilings and ornate moldings that framed the walls. The floor was made of dark, polished wood, smooth to the touch and cool underfoot. The room was dimly lit, with a few rays of sunlight filtering in through the large, stained-glass windows, as the sun was about to set.
Against one wall stood a large fireplace, made of rough-hewn stone and adorned with intricate carvings of mythical creatures. Above the fireplace hung a large, silver mirror, reflecting the flickering flames and casting a warm glow over the room.
A massive four-poster bed dominates the center of the room, its dark wooden frame intricately carved with images of mythical beasts and swirling vines. The bed is draped in rich velvet curtains, with embroidered cushions and soft pillows. The table was covered with an embroidered tablecloth and set with silverware, crystal glasses, and a vase of fresh flowers.
Along the walls were shelves, filled with ancient books, ornate vases, and delicate figurines. A grandfather clock stood in one corner, ticking away the seconds with a steady, soothing rhythm. It is perfect and beautiful.
I stood in front of my bedroom mirror, looking at the short red dress that hugged my curves. It was beautiful I was looking sexy in it. I was a bit uncomfortable as I have never worn something this short. It was sitting just below my ass. Not that I had any reason to wear it as I rarely even go out or on a date. I have never been on a date. Even if it was a real date, I wouldn't have worn this. It was too provoking.
Blood rushed to my cheeks as Aro entered the room. He was looking at me with his eyes narrowed, his hands folded in front of him as if he really didn't expect me to go on a date and wear this dress. When he saw me in the dress his mouth fell open, he was looking surprised. It is not like he hasn't seen Nyx wear short dresses. Without saying a word, he went back through the wall that he came from. Do I not look good?
When he went through the shelves a thought struck her. There was no room behind that side of the wall, where did he go? I have often seen him walk through that side. There were many times when I have searched for him and was not able to find him, and he would come out of that side of the wall. Is there perhaps a hidden room in there?
It was not uncommon to have hidden rooms and secret passages in an ancient mansion like this. Though I haven't come across any in this mansion. I went near the wall and searched for a way to open it. There was no lever or any kind of button in sight. I tried to open it with my magic. And the shelved wall opened with a soft click.
The wall opened to reveal a grand room, dimly lit and filled with shelves stacked high with strange objects. Her eyes widened as she took in the sight of cauldrons, potion bottles, and spell books. There seems to be every type of thing a witch might need. it must be Aro's things from when he was alive. He was a wizard, what does he do with all of these things?
As a witch, Mor had seen her fair share of magical items, but she had never seen anything quite like this. I approached one of the shelves, my fingers tracing over the spines of ancient-looking books, these books are different than the books in my room. I have finished reading the books in my room and now I can start reading these.
"Stop touching them they are mine. you will not take them." Aro said. That can stop me from stealing them and reading them. There is no book safer when I am near, I will read all the books in the world before I die there is no stopping me.
"And, you will not be stealing them when I am not here." he said as he saw the devious look on my face. He knows what I can do for books.
"I will never." I said with an innocent look blinking my eyes at him.
When I heard Leo's voice calling, I went out planning ways to take the books. grabbing a long coat, I was out to go on my fake date.
