"Who said you are pretty?" he said with a smirk, A laugh escaped when I heard him.
There was a frown formed on his forehead, surprised that I was laughing, as if he thought I would be angry.
My laughter stopped abruptly, he was right, he should have been careful with what he was saying.
With a flick of my hand tiny birds formed in midair, made of fire, there were five of them, chirping angrily. Asher leaned away from me staring in awe at the birds. They formed a line ready to attack their wings flared as smoke rose out of their bodies. They were beautiful. I stood from where I was sitting, I wanted to see him burn.
Does he think he can insult me? Did he think there would be no consequences? Without a second thought I sent them hurtling through the air, they were fast, faster than the wind, they went straight to him, he took a few steps back his eyes widening as they didn't slow their descent.
The first bird went to his right shoulder dissolving into fire, the second made its way to his chest followed by the third, the blazing fire engulfing his black jacket in an instant, the fourth and fifth bird did a pretty good job of burning the rest of his shirt.
He just stood there staring at them as they burst into fire on his clothes.
It was my tun to be surprised. I thought he would dodge them, but he was not moving at all, staring in my eyes with a smirk.
It only made me angrier. The fire doesn't seem to be affecting him in any way, because he was not even flinching as it enclosed him. He is a demon prince after all. I was a fool to attack him with hell fire, I should attack him with something that he literally doesn't bend to his command.
I was distracted for a moment by the view in front of me. My anger turned into ash like his clothes.
His shirt turning into ashes fell to the ground leaving him naked from the top, the fire didn't stop there, it made its way down, to his trousers, I gulped, my eyes following the trail of fire. Not even blinking in case I miss something important.
A thundering laughter surprised me out of my stupor, the sound bubbling up from deep within his chest and spilling out in a joyful burst. It echoed off the walls in this silent room. For a moment, all I could do was stare as he shook with laughter, as he stared at me staring at him.
When I realized why he was laughing a blush made its way to my cheeks. he caught me staring at him.
I was glad that I had my mask on. With a gesture, he stopped the fire that was going to consume his leftover clothes.
One can say I was quite disappointed. Anger resurfaced as I was denied the view.
"What? Are you disappointed?" he asked slyly, he knows I am. Rolling my eyes at him pretending that I was not, "why would I be?" As there was much left to see, which I made sure to take advantage of by integrating it into my memory.
He was perfection. Shirtless he stood proud in the middle of the room, as if he knew I would check him out. Who wouldn't those hard abs are begging my eyes to fall on them. Will they be as hard as they look if I touch them? My hands were itching to find out. In the dim lighting of this room he was looking irresistible.
Those biceps, my mouth was becoming dry, but water was not what I wanted right now. I don't think I should be talking about the thing I wanted.
I want to capture his photo, the one I have can't be compared to this... this perfection. I will be able to stare at it whenever I want. Maybe I can make a poster and hang it in my room.
"I could have said, you are the most beautiful being I have laid my eyes on." Asher said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "But I haven't seen your face, how do you think I will know if you are pretty? You might as well be really ugly. Is that not the reason you are hiding your face?" He said, moving towards me.
He clearly thinks he is really smart, or I am really dumb. I have no other explanation as to why else he thinks instigating me like that will work.
"Did you really think that will work?" I asked, incredibly glaring at him, I could not help when my gaze unconsciously made its way down his face.
Don't blame me! His face is pretty, I admit. but the rest of him... The rest of him was edible, mouthwatering.
Can you imagine my dilemma? What should I stare at? those biceps? or the abs, the v running down his pants. I wish those burned down in the fire. then there is also his pretty face.
Maybe I should leave, shirtless Asher was not something I expected to see today. His hard abs were really throwing me off of my game. I should concentrate on him, but I was not able to. Even as he closed the distance between us, I was barely able to process the reality.
This is why I should stay away from him. No one has been able to do this to me. No one has made me feel like this.
"I had to try." He shrugged, calling my attention to his broad shoulders. "You see, you have seen so much of me; from what I can see you are liking it too. It is only fair that you return the favor."
His long fingers were on my chin raising my head so that I would look at his eyes not his shirtless body standing in front of me, I wanted to protest.
but his other hand was already at work, as it sneaked behind my head, while I was busy trying to process his nearness, I was so distracted when his body pressed into mine, that I failed to notice that he was doing it to distract me.
As fast as the wind he slashed the ribbon holding onto my mask.
A gasp escaped me as the mask around my face loosened and started to fall.
