'What the hell...again a mystery box shit' David thought when he suddenly heard.

"START"

All the students activated their quirk when they heard it and started running. Todoroki created a thin ice layer while Bakugo blasted in the air while screaming. Momo created ice skates even though she knew that the ice layer was thin and could crack if given much weight but she was creating something after that as well.

Deku activated one for all at 5% which was the most he could handle without breaking his bones. Mina created a layer of acid under her shoes so that she could slide like Todoroki and Momo but on acid instead of ice. David created an air-scooter (an orb of air on which aang used to sit.) and started moving ahead. He quickly caught up with Todoroki and Bakugo who were going neck to neck.

When they both saw David coming beside them and they could see that David wasn't even trying hard as he deliberately yawned while seeing them both. Todoroki just grit his teeth and looked ahead while Bakugo started cursing at David.

"You asshole. Don't give me that expression. I'll kill you" Bakugo shouted while increasing his speed which David caught up too easily enraging Bakugo even more. This even encouraged Todoroki to go all out even before facing the first obstacle.

"Damm those three aren't even taking us as competition" Kirishima said.

"Then let's show them that we are in his race as well" Momo said while increasing her skating speed.

Very soon these three reached the first obstacle which were the robots. Bakugo just exploded a few while maneuvering around the rest of the robots. Todoroki froze the joints but only to jam them for a few seconds. He didn't want the other kids to reap the benefits of his quirk but David decided to mess with Todoroki and threw a few air blades towards the same frozen joints which were frozen crushing the ice and the ice blocks and machine parts were falling on the path in front of Todoroki.

'I could have used metal bending but then Todoroki wouldn't know that I messed up his path.' David smirked and Todoroki looked at him with a hateful expression.

Next was the long pipe with a hole dug on both sides. David had no problem balancing his air scooter on the pipe and clearing the obstacle easily. Most of the others also passed the obstacle relatively easily. The majority of students in the lead of the race were students from Class 1-A and B.

"Currently the lead is taken by 4 students of class 1-A. Izuku Midoriya looks to be struggling a little on the 4 position, Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo are tied for 2nd and 3rd position while David Carter looks like he is leading the race without much effort. Next obstacle are the vertical poles standing in the pit and the students will have to maintain balance and make calculated jumps to cross it. In this Katsuki Bakugo may have an advantage as he is in the air at all times and even Shoto Todoroki will also make a road of ice but it may end up helping those behind him. I wonder how David is going to cross this obstacle." Midnight was doing the commentary.

David was about to reach the 3rd obstacle and suddenly his costume started fluttering and small tornados lifted David in the air. Anko had specifically designed this long coat so that it can help David fly.

"Get out of my way asshole" Bakugo shouted flying behind David. Todoroki created an ice path to cross the 3rd obstacle which helped Izuku and some other participants behind him to cross the obstacle with very less effort. Izuku had a sheet of metal which he took from one of the robots and was using it as a snowboard.

'I'll just fly to the end now...air scooter on the mines could trigger it so no need to risk it' David thought as he created some distance between himself and his classmates.

"David has almost crossed the minefield with Todoroki and Bakugo following him while Midoriya seems to be collecting mines with a metal sheet and his classmates will catch up to him in a few seconds" Midnight said and just then Deku slammed the metal sheet on the mines and propelled himself in the air.

"Big brained Midoriya has used the explosives as a boost and has now replaced Todoroki for 2nd position but it seems like he will even cross David now" Midnight shouted and many spectators were also impressed and they expected that Deku will now overtake David as well.

'So the underdog wants to win eh?' David smirked as he created an air blast around him which spread in all directions. Just as Deku was thinking that he is going to win the wind blast hit him and he fell backwards. Todoroki created an ice wall to stop the blast from affecting him and that trick worked as he quickly regained his 2nd position. Even Bakugo created multiple blasts and crossed Deku. Deku fell on the ground and he could see Momo pass by him. He quickly stood up to finish the race.

"What a last moment blast from David. Not only did he stop Midoriya from snatching his 1st place but even threw him to the 5th place now. And there you guys have it the winner of the obstacle race... DAVID CARTER" Midnight shouted and the spectators started cheering as well. On the scoreboard the rankings were displayed.

1st place David Carter

2nd place Shoto Todoroki

3rd place Katsuki Bakugo

4th place Momo Yaoyorozu

5th place Izuku Midoriya

.

and so on.

Everyone stood in front of the podium with Midnight, Present Mic and Aizawa standing on it.

"Now that the race is finished let's move on to the next....CAVILARY BATTLE" Midnight said. For the next few seconds Midnight explained the rules which stated that higher the ranking in the obstacle race the more points the player has to defend. Listening to that all eyes turned towards David who was completely unbothered by this.

"Now we will show these arrogant Class 1-A students by snatching their points" a kid from Class 1-B said. Everyone started making their teams and David was thinking whom to take when he heard someone call him from behind.

"David...let's teamup"
