HOMELESS

Owen abruptly pulled his hand off her the moment he noticed her being uncomfortable.

"Actually, I just called you here to tell you about your job here."

Muna hearth started to pound crazily, 'he was starting to talk about her work, could that also means he will be firing me already?'

Her being agitated was so evident with how big the balls of liquids falling from her forehead. However, Owen had nothing to do with that anymore. He had done his part to make her calm but it seemed it didn't work. He wondered what actually Mina was thinking.

Owen tried to leave her with whatever way she wanted to react since he could do anything about that anymore. Instead, he threw his attention to the paper in his hands. It was Mina's personal information, that Vira handed to him.

He didn't know why, but he smiled and seemed relieved after seeing some particular information of her personal data. However, Mina couldn't guess which one exactly but, she was familiar with the paper and she know that it was her Bio-info. The photo on the upper-right side of the paper was the evidence.

She even noticed Owen's gaze glued to her photo, for quite a moment before he drag his eyes down to the other part of the paper.

After a few silent moments that all Mina could hear was her unsteady heartbeat, Owen, pulled another paper and hand it to her.

"We usually asked our employees to fill up this form before they had started to work and I'm sorry, you had already started without knowing your benefits and even the rules in this house." Owens, formally calm voice was supposed to make MIna calm. It worked for a while not until with his last words, the rules. Mina was aware that she might had broken that one rule in their house.

She didn't know if it was a good idea, nevertheless, she opened her mouth unhesitatingly and asked.

"Sir, what are your rules?"

She was anticipating that he might talk about not breaking stuff or something, for she knew she had already failed in that part.

"We will only allow in-house employees after they had served us for five months. I'm sorry, we made those rules, to ensure the safety of this house. We treated our worker's family and we need to know the worker first before, she could be part of the family."

Mina wasn't expecting that what she was about to hear was even worse than she had expected. She was there because she needed a place to stay. Yes, she might have a job and was earning but she will still be staying out and she didn't know where she should go.

Nonetheless, Mina was left with no choice but to take the papers and sign it.

Owen on the other hand stared at her knowingly. He almost changed his decision, seeing Mina's anxious look. And, he knew the reason behind that. The grapevine about Mina's life and how she had ended up in that house had already reached his air, even before he saw her.

He wasn't so happy for his decision, however, he had to do that not only to be fair to his other workers but also, for Mina herself.

Owen could relate to how hard it felt not to have a good disposition with the family. He was aware that Mina left home because she got a little quarrel with her father.

For Owen it wasn't a good enough reason for Mina to completely leave her family. He had made that mistake before, he left home and felt so broken, that before he went back and talk to his dad again, he was already gone.

He didn't want Mina or other people to experience the guilt he felt before. For him Mina need to talk and forgive her dad, before anything else would happen.

However, he couldn't tell that to Mina straight to her face.

As the they ended and Mina knew that she had to go back to her home since she didn't have a place to stay. She couldn't also stay to her mom's home since, no one knew that she was her daughter.

Mina walk out of Donohoe's gate and had decided to take her phone out. She need to call Royce, and hoping that he could help her.

It didn't take long enough and a taxi arrived outside the village gate. It was Royce, his thick brown hair bounce as he got out of the car. His smile, was so attractive that could always make any girls breathless, just simply by the sight of it.

He could even be a model, she always remembered in their highschool days how many girls were having a crush with Royce. Even with her group of friends he was that guy who every girl had dreamed of to be kissing in a kissing booth, or to be tide in a marriage booth.

Mina could even hardly believe herself that it was her who caught not only Royce attention but also love. She wasn't actually the prettiest girls in the campus but she couldn't deny, that she had also got courters lining up for her.

However, they all thought that she pied them up because her dad was too strict and she wasn't allowed to be in a relationship. Even thought that was half true, but that didn't stopped Mina to accept Royce love.

Maybe she was only waiting for the person that she also liked and she would be willing to sacrifice and dad's strictness for that love.

Royce abruptly ran towards her and he wrapped her on his arms. He was smiling but Mina could also tell that thier was also worries behind that smile, because she did and felt the same. She actually didn't know what to do next and was hoping that Royce might help her.

Mina didn't know how, but she was aware that Royce was renting a room in the city and it wasn't that far from that village. She was hoping for Royce to let her stay in his place.
