I was in the Lab going over paperwork when I heard J.A.R.V.I.S's system going off alerting me that something had just crashed on the top floor. I jump up trying not to get my nerves rattled.
"J.A.R.V.I.S is this a Code Green?" I say this wondering what was happening above.
"I don't believe so sir, would you wish to take the nearest elevator up?" J.A.R.V.I.S replied.
"Yes please," I say following the arrow that had appeared from a projector somewhere pointing me towards the nearest elevator. I went into the elevator and clicked the top floor button. Around me, the elevator shook and then started proceeding up. I heard a ding noise which signified it was my stop. The elevator opened and I saw everyone in the building surrounding something. I stepped closer seeing that something was human. Or should I say Asgardian? Loki lay in front of me.
Thor explained to us all that his father wanted us to keep an eye on him. Everyone looked reluctant but nodded anyway since we didn't want to start a war with the Asgardian. As everybody was arguing about what should be done with Loki. I looked over at Loki, still unconscious, he looked normal at a first glance but when I looked at him closer he looked awful. His skin was thin and pale, with nauseatingly large bruises and scars. Cuts that looked infected on what seemed every inch of his body. I look at his face, his eyes are still closed but that's when I noticed he was moving. Though he did not open his eyes or get up. Was he dreaming? The others had quickly noticed as well and got their weapons ready. Loki was thrashing around in his sleep, blocking himself from an invisible source.
"I won't comply!" Loki screamed this and once again used his arms to cover his stomach as if being hit by something. "I won't attack Midgard! They did nothing, they're innocent!" Loki yelled this as well but it followed with something that sounded like a screech of pain. Loki blocked his face and shouted something incoherent.
"I'll. do anything you want.... Just leave Asgard alone! Why attack them? They would fight back! You have me, already at your command!" Loki whispered this as he was still blocking his face. Something must have happened to wake him up as Loki woke up and frantically touched his stomach then his face as if looking for something. When he felt the blood from his head hitting something when he fell he seemed to go paler. Tony went over and went near Loki to pick him up so they could take him to a secured room. However Loki looked as if he was panicking, he kept trying to tear the muzzle off. His chest rose and fell rapidly now scratching the outside around the mask. His skin was paying for that as it looked red and irritated. Tony went behind him and grabbed his arms, usually, the god would have been too heavy to carry but he seemed light as a feather. Tony dragged him to the room as it is on this floor. Loki seemed to be aware of this but he looked as if he didn't care. I followed Tony, still looking at Loki. Tony roughly shoved him into the room and closed the door. I and Tony stood there for a second listening but we didn't hear anything.
After that, I invited Tony over to the lab so we could finish Loki's file.
"You didn't fill out eye color Tony '' I say looking at the computer.
"J.A.R.V.I.S, tell Thor to come to the lab," Tony says this without looking away from his coffee. A few seconds later I heard the rumbling of footsteps that meant Thor was here.
"What did you need Stark?" Thor says while looking annoyed.
I interjected, "What's Loki's eye color?".
"Green. A dark green, why do you ask?" Thor says leaning against a door frame.
"For his file," I say simply typing the color in the info spot.
Thor nods, leaving. Now I have to compile all pictures taken during the fight then I'm done. The first couple of pictures were of Loki when he was in Germany, the next a closer one from when he first arrived. Something seemed off about this picture. I looked trying to examine what I had felt was off. That's when I noticed his eyes were blue and not green. I checked a couple of other pictures. His eyes were blue in all of them.
"TONY, come over here" Tony rushes over here as I say.
"Look at Loki's eyes!" I say pointing at the screen.
"What about them?" Tony says, looking at me.
"They're blue, not green," I say exasperated that Tony isn't understanding.
"He put an illusion on, simple as that!" Tony says annoyed I called him over for this.
"You're not getting it! Do you remember Barton's eyes when Loki's mind-controlled him! They're the exact same shade!" I say pleading for him to understand.
Comprehension dawned on Tony's face " Are you saying Loki was mind-controlled? You're most likely right"
I nod. "I mean how didn't we see it? HOW didn't Thor see it!!"
I shake my head "We need to let the team in on this, but first research is needed"
