Chapter 63

"For real? Are they really that stupid?"

I look at Bakir with a disbelief expression.

"Sadly, Greed is a great motivator, your highness. I have a feeling that they thought we brought all of our armies on this journey because we are in 'enemy' territory."

"And they see it as a weakness, huh? They thought that they could win against the remaining men we left in Lunaria."

"Yes and with the prize is something that many people really want, they thought that this plan is really worth it."

"Hmmm, should we send some of our men back home? That should make them think twice before they attack us and maybe they will back down."

"Sadly, it will not work, your highness. I have a feeling that they will still attack even when all of us get back because as long as they know, they have one of the biggest advantages, Surprise Attack."

I nod my head in understanding. Yeah, a surprise attack is something that can decide the outcome of the war. Sometimes an army that is three times the amount can be defeated from a surprise attack.

Because they have this 'hidden weapon' on their side, they will think that they still have a chance to complete their mission. This kind of thinking is not good. So we need to break them from that thinking.

"And what do you suggest, Bakir? I'm thinking of letting the Black Dog deal with them before they could raise their claws at us."

"That is a good idea, your highness. I have the same thinking as well. However, can I tell them to make it big? We cannot fight them when they are sitting on our front lawn but if they get away we can wipe them out."

"Hmmm? How?"

"They will notice when their men did not come back and they will notice that someone is targeting them. The next day, the Black Dog will take a hundred of them out in a single day and the Marine will stop any ship coming to Lunaria. The reason is for plague prevention but the truth is that we identify if they are Bright Banner and if they are? We will sink their ships at night."

"Hmmm, that is a good idea. Tell them to use this plan. Just make sure they do not die before I go back. Another three days should be enough for us to make sure the people of Myr can stand on their own legs."

"Of course, your highness."

I nod my head and look out the window. I hope you guys did not do anything stupid because if you hurt the people I love, I will show you that death is not the worse thing in your life.

|3rd POV|

The leader of the Bright Banner, Lucas, paced around in worry. In the past three days, his men slowly disappeared into thin air, and he did not know how it happened. On the first day, a hundred of them disappear without a trace, and he is already spreading out his men in search of the mission person.

What makes matters worse is that many people searching for the missing people also disappear into thin air.

This makes his men nervous to even get out of the ship, as everyone who gets out of the ship will soon vanish from the surface of the planet. He and the rest of his men did not know that the Black Dog was already working to reduce their number and make them even more paranoid than before.

And it was working as intended.

The people in the Bright Banner are already fleeing from Lunaria either by hiring some boat to Braavos or to the North.

They are the lucky people who the Black Dog did not target. They manage to keep their life while their fellow Sellswords are not so fortunate. When they know that their target does not want to get out but rather wants to buy some supplies, they move and kidnap them when they are walking toward their ship.

In their fear, they did not notice that their ship was the only one docking in that part of the port. There are still people walking around this area, but they are the actors hired by the Black Dog to make sure the Bright Banner does not get too suspicious.

"Boss, our food will not last long. We only have food for another week and we only have a few hundred men left. So I think we should give up on this mission."

"No! We are Bright Banner! We have never failed our mission and we will not fail now. Even against the savage Dothraki it falls under our sword. I will not let this kingdom win against us."

The Commander of the Bright Banner shouted as he held his pride high. He just gets the company and wants to prove to his men that he is just as good of a commander as his predecessor.

"Boss! Boss!"

He snapped from his thoughts when the door to his office opened up, and a young man got inside the office.

"What is it?!"

"A letter, boss! I got a letter from our men!"

"Give it to me!"

He takes the letter and starts to read it. The more he read the letter, the bigger his smile became.

"Good! Good! The other is here. They are stopped by Lunaria's patrol but they are here. They will arrive in three days. We will start our plan in three days. When they arrive, we will slowly get inside the city without armor and weapons hidden underneath a cloak. For now, we need to search for the location of the cures."

The commander put his hand on his chin and started thinking.

"I need you guys to go out and search for this location."

"But! We will disappear like the others!"

"No, don't worry. You will go in a group. Each group consisted of thirty people. Whoever does this to us cannot take thirty people at once without catching the attention of the other. If you get attacked, one of you needs to run and report to the other group."

"I see. Understood."

While they are discussing the strategy needed, one of the Black Dogs looks at his fellow member and says.

"Tell the captain that the bird has caught the poisoned worm, and we can start the second stage."

"Yes, sir."
