Chapter 114

I rub my forehead when two men are the only people surviving the expedition. It looks like there are even more troubles happening in Westeros. Why? Why must all the trouble come from that cursed place?

"Tell me once again what kind creature you are seeing."

"Yes, your highness!"

She then starts to explain to me the creature they see. A human-like creature that releases a lot of cold energy and smells like corpses. A being that cannot be killed with anything but a strong fire spell.

Her partner tells me how they meet at least a hundred of them, and he knows that they have more than that. While they did not encounter any undead that can use magic, they tell me they use weapons like spears, swords, and bows & arrows.

"I can't catch a break. Very well. Good job for the two of you. I will make sure they will be remembered and their name appears in the Obelisk of Heroes."

Obelisk of Heroes is something that Bakir and I made up. Soldiers are willing to die to make their legacy known worldwide, and Obelisk is right for them. At first, I didn't like the idea, but after Bakir convinced me, I decided to build one and put the names of people who died in service on the Obelisk.

"You two can go and take a rest. You have done a great job."

"Yes, your highness!"

"Thank you, your highness!"

I nod my head and see them walk away from the throne room. After seeing them gone, I release a sigh and look at Bakir, who walks toward me.

"Your highness."

"What should we do, Bakir? Should we send some troops there? Intense heat is the one thing that can kill them. That means we need to send a lot of Black Dogs there."

"Or we can use them, your highness."

"Them?"

"THEM, your highness. The lunatic who likes fire too much."

"Oh, them."

The Alchemist's Guild is a Pyromancy group that likes to burn stuff. Not long after I took the throne and was crowned king, they came to Lunaria to ask for sanctuary. After asking all of my advisors, I decided to let them stay in one of the mountains on the northern part of Lunaria's island.

If the Black Dogs and the White Cats are the group of people that is well-known throughout the world, the Alchemist's Guild is the group that is hidden and unknown.

While they are mostly a pyromancy, they have a lot of knowledge about many things, from medicine to machinery. The musket's design comes from them, the same as the recipe for curing burn wounds in the form of a gell.

"Very well. Send someone to their lab and ask them if they want to burn stuff. You know what? I will come and ask them myself."

~The next day~

"Yes! We will bring some of our best inventions!"

"Wait! You don't need to go overboard! We only want to test the water and not immediately go to battle! Oi!"

I sigh a little as the elderly pyromaniac runs deeper into their lab. I regret coming here. I should know that time will not make crazy go away. In fact, it makes them even crazier than before. However, they are our biggest weapon at the moment.

They are crazy, but their invention is not something I can ignore.

"What kind of weapon do you think they will bring?"

I look at Bakir, who comes with me, and see him sigh.

"I don't know, your highness. They are smart and sometimes wise but they are also eccentric. Do you remember last year?"

"Ah, yeah. That."

I remember them. The Alchemist's Guild somehow makes a flying dick that spews fire from the tip of it. They are old people playing with fire. If not for their experience, the safety measures they put in before experimenting, and the rune that prevents fire incidents, many of them will be dead by now.

"How on earth they didn't see anything wrong with their design."

"I don't, your highness. Their mind is something I don't want to get inside. Even if you order me to get inside their mind, I will rather kill myself than get inside their head."

We wait for a few more minutes before I see one of the elders of the Alchemist's Guild come to me with a large bag behind him. What the hell does he bring with him?!

"Grand Master Tyl, what is that?"

"Oh? These are all the items I want to bring, your highness! We don't know what kind of creature we will encounter and I decide to take all of the items I might need."

I only sigh and say.

"Very well. We will quickly explore the north and if we can take one of them as a test subject."

"And how will we get there, your highness? It will take a week or maybe five days if we continue to sail there without stopping and if the wind blesses us. Oh! You will use your magic, right?! Oh! Oh!"

I ignore his moan and the blissful look on his face and release my mana. I imagine the location I want to go to before creating the portal. A purple portal appears in front of us, and I look back at my companion.

"Bakir, I will leave the rest to you."

"Of course, your highness."

I nod my head and look at the alchemist on the ground panting. What is his problem?! He sees a lot of magic because of the increasing number of magic users in Lunaria, so why is he panting at the sight of my magic?!

I cough and say.

"Alright, Grand Master Tyl. Come on."

"Ah! Of course, your highness! It is an honor!"

What honor? I shake my head and walk through the portal, followed by Grand Master Tyl. I look around for a few seconds and nod my head. There is nothing in sight.

"There is nothing in sight. We are clear."

"So, what should we do now, your highness?"

"We will take it slow and go north. It has been a while since I had a lone adventure."

"I'm here, your highness."

I ignore the lunatic beside me and smile a little.

"Yeah, it is good to have some alone time."

"I'm still here, your highness."
