Chapter 135

I decided to make an underground living area to accommodate those staying here. I don't know what kind of place they come from to make them cry when they eat a steamed potato, but I know it was a harsh place to live in.

I make two hundred beds using my magic to accommodate all the people coming here. I'm glad I brought many potatoes inside my pocket dimension as emergency food. These people need help.

I shake my head and see Melisandre walk toward me with the leader of those people.

"Azor Ahai, I have brought him here."

I look at Olaf and say.

"Olaf, Melisandre, and I need to go back to Lunaria. Can you and your people watch over this place for me? I will leave this thing here."

I give him a ball of glass that has a light inside of him, dancing around.

"When there is an emergency like the Others coming in large numbers or any emergency, crush it, and it will notify me immediately."

"Understood, Great Thane"

Right. He and his people start to call me Great Thane or Great King if I translate it into the Common Tongue.

"You know where the storage is, right?"

"Yes."

"There is a lot of food inside of it. You can go and take as many as you want. That should last for three days. However, you don't need to worry. I will be back tomorrow morning or in the afternoon."

"Of course, we believe in you, Great Thane."

"Right. The bath will always be on–the same with the toilet. I don't want to see shit anywhere other than the sewer when I return."

"Yes."

"Good."

I take a deep breath and touch the runic array underneath me. A second later, a portal appeared in front of me. I have already sent Alduin back home; he should be already inside his nest by now.

"Anyway, we are going now. Take care of this place."

"Yes, Great Thane!"

I smile at him and walk through the portal with Melisandre. A second later, we arrived inside my lab. As I open the door, I see the sun start setting, and the sky turns orange. What a beautiful sight. I sigh and turn around.

"Thank you for your hard work, Melisandre."

"You don't need to thank me, Azor Ahai. It is my duty to help you in your duty as the savior of the world."

"Even then, I need to thank you for your hard work."

"Then you are welcome. If you need something, please, ask me."

I nod and say.

"I see. Then I want you to prepare a spell you can use in our fight. We need as much help as we can."

"Of course. I shall prepare the necessary steps in this fight."

"However, don't sacrifice humans. I might not trust you fully, but I have started to trust you. Don't break this trust, Melisandre. There are a lot of magicians and budding magicians in this country. If you decide to use your dark magic, they will know, and in turn, I will know about it."

"Of course, Azor Ahai. I swear in the name of Lord R'hllor that I will not use any Dark Magic. However, there is one problem, Azor Ahai."

"What is it?"

"I cannot cast powerful magic without blood. I'm what you call a Sorcerer. A magic user that did not have any mana core inside my body. I need something powerful to cast magic."

"And what do you suggest? You did not want to use the runic magic because of your occupation. Do you want to use a mana battery? I can do that for you. I have a lot of jewels left for this operation."

She looks at me for a few seconds and says.

"Can I have some of your blood?"

"What do you want with it?"

Blood magic is powerful. Human blood is rich with mana, especially from someone who has a mana core inside their body. Many people see blood magic as dark, but it is far from the truth. It is in the middle of the ground in terms of morality.

Animal blood contains mana, not as pure and as much, but it is still a lot. Good enough to make a barrier around the house or a ritual to strengthen one body.

However, what makes me wary of giving her my blood is that it can be used to attack me directly from across the planet. I may have started to trust her, but I don't know if I can trust her with my blood.

"I want to use your blood as fuel for my magic, Azor Ahai. I don't know how to make you trust me enough with your blood, but if you decide to trust me this time, I swear I will only use your blood as fuel. Blood from someone who is willing is more powerful; combine it with the fact you are the most powerful magician in the world, and it will be the most powerful fuel for my magic."

I look at her for a few seconds, searching for something that tells me she is lying. Seeing none, I nod and say.

"How much?"

"A dozen drops will do, Azor Ahai."

I nod and take out a small vial from my inventory. I take out my knife and cut my finger. I let the blood flow into the vial for a few seconds and heal my finger.

"Will this do?"

"Yes. Thank you for your trust, Azor Ahai. I will not disappoint you."

"See that you don't. Anyway, we will meet tomorrow morning and return north in the afternoon. That should be enough time for the blacksmith to make enough swords and arrows for the incoming war."

"Of course."

I nod and get back to my room. This better be my last battle in at least a decade! Not only do I spend a lot of money on all these battles, but I also spend a lot of my time, magic, and sanity. I don't know why a warmonger is like war. With only these battles, I start to lose my sanity.

I need to cuddle with Dany and Rhae to restore my sanity. I deserve this small break.
