Rias vs Riser Starts!

A month passed since the declaration between Rias and Riser.

A large stadium had been set up in the Chaldea Academy for the rating game between Rias and Riser.

The stadium was a colosseum-like structure albeit larger than one in Rome. The most high-profile tournaments of Chaldea Academy happen in this stadium and Boa Hancock allowed it to be used for the match between Riser and Rias.

For the ground, a forest was decided to be used as their battlefield. Large trees and bushes were spread across, limiting the visibility of the fighters if they stay on the ground and if they fly with their devil wings, they will be a prime target.

The stadium was full of young and experienced magi, young devils from the underworld, and celestial beings from the Swarga who were eager to watch the fight.

In a large red VIP room, four figures were sitting on three couches watching the screening from the stadium on a large screen in front of them.

On the largest couch, the middle space was empty while Jay's mother, Shachi, sat on the right and Rias' mother, Venelana Gremory sat on the left.

Venelana was a beautiful voluptuous woman, very much like her daughter with shorter flaxen hair and violet eyes much like the natural-born members of the Bael Clan.

On the leftmost side, sitting on a single-seat couch was Lady Phenex, mother of Riser Phenex, another voluptuous woman with blue eyes, blonde hair, and a gentle beautiful face.

Near Shachi, Boa Hancock was majestically sitting on a large snake that had curled itself in a chair like a throne.

They were watching Grayfia on the large screen who was working as both commentator and judge and was currently greeting the audience.

~Clutch

"Hello, mother! Hey ladies!"

The door of the room opened and Jay walked inside, greeting the women with a charming smile.

"Oh Jay, my son, how are you?"

Shachi walked to him and hugged him tightly. She missed her son a lot of he left the Swarga.

"I'm good, mother!"

Jay reciprocated her hug. Once she was satisfied Shachi moved away whereas Jay curiously looked at Boa Hancock.

"Nice seat you got there, Miss Hancock!"

Jay teased her for sitting on a snake.

"Shrhrhrhr..."

The snake hissed.

"It seems Salome has taken a liking to you, she is usually hostile towards men."

Boa commented as Salome caressed her head on Jay's palm who in return tickled her neck.

Salome was a large white snake with large pink spots running down her body. The underside of her body was pale yellow, with thin horizontal black lines across it. She wore a horned skull with a couple of cracks on top of her head, had blue hair jutting out from the back of the skull.

After patting her, Jay and Shachi took their seat before he greeted the ladies he met for the first time.

Their attention moved towards the screen away from their chatting when Grayfia started explaining the mode and rules of the game.

According to Grayfia, the game will be a dice figure rating game in which both Kings will roll six-sided dice and the number added up from both Kings will determine the value of pieces to be sent.

"Queen has the value of nine points, the rook is valued at five while bishop and knight, both three points. Meanwhile, Rias and Riser are valued at ten points."

Venelana stated.

"With such a small peerage poor Rias is at a disadvantage."

Lady Phenex said with a worried look.

Rias and Riser, at each extreme of the ground, in their respective rooms, began the rolling of their dice in a bowl.

"Right at the start, we have two sixes, a total of twelve!"

Grayfia announced while Riser and Rias thought about who to send for the fight.

There were five people in the room including Rias. The new addition to her peerage was sitting with a hood covering her body and face as Rias didn't want to show her identity to the crowd and her opponents.

"Rias, I don't think Riser will come on his own!"

Ultear suggested Rias who has caressing her chin thinking about who to send.

"He will send her queen to show us his peerage's tremendous strength and play with our will."

Rias said to herself.

"Ultear, Saeko, you two will go. If it's not the queen, finish them quickly. Don't get defeated, we might need you for more battles!"

Rias said as she held Saeko's and Ultear's hands.

"We will win!"

Both of them replied and walked into the forest arena.

"Queen in the beginning?"

In the VIP room, Jay and others saw that Riser had started with her queen and three pawns.

Fighters in the arena were unaware of the fact that who is their opponent so they walked towards the middle with caution.

Riser's queen was Yubelluna, a voluptuous woman with long, wavy purple hair that falls all the way down her back and matching eyes. Her lips were covered in purple lipstick. At the front, the right side of her hair falls over her breast and covers her right eye, while the left side falls near the top of her skirt.

Her attire was a dress consisting of a navy blue tunic top with gold accents and a pale blue skirt with open sides, black shoes, and over matching thigh-high stockings with garter belts. The top reveals much of her cleavage and is held with a gold choker with blue and red jewels. Over this, she wore a white overcoat with black and gold accents and matching pauldrons. For accessories, she wore a black headband with a red-orange jewel over her forehead to keep her long hair in place.

One of her pawns was Shuriya, a young woman with long pale blue hair and amber eyes. She had tanned skin and wore a bikini made up of a metallic underwire brassiere and a silk loincloth that exposes her sides.

The other two pawns were twins, Ni and Li. Two young women with cat ears wore short black skirts and short skimpy, white sailor uniforms that revealed their abdomen, shoulders, and lower breasts.

~Boom

An explosion happened, destroying and burning several trees, cleaning the area. It was caused by Yubelluna who was flying in the air with a staff. She was trying to find her opponents while the pawns followed her lead.

"Yubelluna is strong. I fear this will end sooner than anyone thought!"

Lady Phenex commented with a prideful tone while Jay raised his eyebrow.

In just a few moments both the group met and a swift battle ensued. Yubelluna shot explosive beams from the air while the pawns engaged Ultear and Saeko on the ground.

A plan was made between Saeko and Ultear to take out the queen first.

Ultear covered her surrounding with hundred of teal orbs, some she used to attack the pawns to keep them away from Saeko.

Saeko used the orbs as stepping stones and with a fast pace ascended towards Yubelluna, who tried to destroy the orbs but with Ultear's power, they reverted to the initial forms.

"You!"

Yubelluna was out of her words as Saeko was just a foot away from her.

~Slash

Saeko drew out her katana and slashed her on the abdomen, making a long cut. The cut was infected by a strong poison by her sword which quickly emptied her life force.

"Ahhh..."

Yubelluna screamed as she started falling to the ground. She was defeated in a single slash but the battle was far from over as she drew out a tiny glass bottle.

As Saeko didn't have any use for the orbs, Ultear shot a barrage of them towards pawns, defeating them in an instant.

"Shuriya, Ni, and Li are eliminated!"

Grayfia announced making Riser punch on a wall in anger.

~Boom

Yubelluna was perfectly fine, the wound had disappeared and she was back on her wings. She had shot an explosive beam towards Saeko who barely missed it.

"I've told them to be prepared for phoenix tears!"

Jay commented with a smile as Saeko was safe and a teal orb hit Yubelluna in the gut.

"Infinite Sphere!"

Ultear screamed as a large number of teal orbs assaulted Yubelluna from every direction, causing her to cover in blood and lose consciousness.

"Yubelluna is eliminated! The first round ended in Lady Rias' victory!"

Grayfia announced.

"You did Saeko!"

Ultear caught her from falling on the ground who smiled and closed her eyes, taking some rest. She wasn't defeated but would not be able to fight in the next round.

"Oh my, it very likely now that Rias will win, my future daughter-in-law has strong subordinates!"

Shachi said as she happily laughed enjoying Rias' one win.
