Rant about Sauerkraut

So My mom and dad both know how to cook, with my dad working as a chef in a pretty good resturant I shall not name.

Either it be A5 Steak, Greek Olive's, Barley soup, or the wonderful sugar valcano known as Baklava. I have tasted alot of food, ranging from overpriced delicious steaks, to a 5 dollar pizza dinner for 4, I have tasted things I love and grew an immediate likeing too, or foods that confuse and disgust me.

One of those dishes that confuse me is the German Delicacy that is Sauerkraut. It is finely cut cabbage put in a jar thats filled up with acidic bacteria. Its main defining factor is the smell.

I think I would like it, but the smell alone deters me from even trying it. And my dad usually only makes it once a year for soups so he can throw some in there but ugh. It smells so bad.
