Elden Ring and Difficuly

I love Elden Ring. It is too me, a master piece of open world and dungeon crawling. Making a story of a man of a broken race traveling through a continent that hates his kind.

Oh but its too hard. Story is too complicated. Its too difficult, there is no difficulty slider.

I dont smoke and Im not 21 but holy shit I want some tequila and a ciggarette.

Elden Ring is too difficult. Not enough accesibility...

NO FUCKING SHIT.

Do people know what Elden Ring and Fromsoft games are? They are made to push you, you dont get given stuff. The story, the combat, the game itself. You are the one who understands it, the game dosen't tell you how to do something in terms you will understand immediatly.

But it's too hard. BULLSHIT! Pure unadulterated bullshit. Its fucking easy. its fucking super easy!

Its called farming! It's called open world! it's called GETTING FUCKING GOOD! ITS CALLED SUMMONS ITS CALLED A MAGE BUILD ITS CALLED FUCKING CO-OP!

The game is easy. It's YOU that makes it hard. YOU dodge too late, YOU arn't leveled high enough, YOU didn't do the tutorial, YOU can't react fast enough. IF its too hard. SUMMON A FRIEND, use character summons in the game and distract the boss.

There is a girl in the game. I think her name is Milennia, and she is statisticly the hardest boss in the game. There is a man, nay a god, Named "let me solo her". He is a player that has been summoned, and has soloed Milennia over 400 times. And he has helped a shit ton of players. Thats why souls is easy.

Now accesibility.

"I am legally blind and I cant see well enough too play."

Yes you can. It's called building a good class for you. There is auto aim for mages and archers. There is a lock on mechanic.

Or maybe just don't play the fucking game!

Every game dosen't have to adjust too you because you have a disability. Shut. the. fuck. up. A reaction based game obviously wont be easy for someone thats blind or someone with Asburgers. Or someone that has dementia.

Every game shouldnt GIVE you everything. You should work towards beating the game, not the game beating it for you.

Lets imagine a ladder. The ladder is really tall and has spanning lengths between the rungs. But the ladder will never fall, only you will. So how do you get up a ladder when the next rung is to far for your legs to reach.

You climb with your hands, not your feet.

And that is Elden Ring too me. You have to switch from the norm even when the game tries to force you back into the norm.

Here is a qoute I love, and that I think displays Elden Ring and Fromsoft's ideals.

"You have to learn too run before you learn to crawl."

You have to break the normality of life and push through everything, before you can relax and slow down.

Thats it for today. I felt really passionate about how bullshit this argument is. Tell me if you think I'm right or wrong.

Good day, night, and evening. Or whatever the fuck it is for you.
