Nagging Vincent

He had already been transformed, that was what he could behold when he starred at the mirror, the fancy lights coming from the ceilings could be said to be stinging. Feeling supreme in his tuxedo suit, he made a bright smile on his face, his silky crimson hair was packed backwards, behind him were the two bodyguards awaiting him to end the glancing session and head back to the pent house. Gary took another glance at the mirror, he shifted his tie before turning to the guards and signaling for them that he was ready.

'This is stupid Gary, we have to get to Dirvan quick.' Vincent said with his voice expressing anger.

'Shut up Vincent, I'm smart unlike you" Gary replied, messing with his wrist buttons as he walked out along with his guards.

The party had already started and everyone had got themselves to the dance floor moving their body to the rhythm of the hip-hop music, coming from the huge bass speakers fixed in all angles of the huge room. The multicolored lights made the party well-blended with the moonlight. Gary walked into the room which was situated at the top floor, cheers could be heard immediately Gary stepped in.

'They love m...' Gary's thought was interrupted by a soft arm grip, he wasn't actually the one they were cheering but his one-day girlfriend who he didn't even know her name.

'Gary, I would describe your character with one word, 'a public h*e'' Vincent said his voice expressing anger.

'Chill Vincent, There's something I call 'taking of advantage' This girl's no doubt rich....' Gary walked along with her to the dancing floor as everyone created a way for them, the disc jockey had changed the song, a Mid song as everyone took to the dance floor. '...And doing this for her, I'll get to easily access the bridge train easily, its certain that this planet of bridge train would differ from the previous one, so lets study and access.' Gary outwardly sighed.

The Manari troops, no one really understands their motives, probably just a bunch of warriors guided astray by their leaders and lashing out their tantrums at any clan they encounter, there was no such as a Kingdom, currency denominations, culture, tradition, festivals or any thing of sort. And as for their belief... One thing that surely is complicated about them, it had been well confirmed that the Manaris worship themselves, the creation of ethereal gods, the cosmic bodies, Cosmic variants, and other sort of things present in the universe and beyond, were all their doing as they thought. As controversial as they were, they were also great Cosmic variants warriors with each having a valuable pathway that they can contribute to the army. Path ways of significance, as its called; many pathways were a bit insignificant and sometimes don't contribute significantly to the fighting of battle. Cosmic variant's pathways were a bit complex and could be said to be illogical for some, that's why it was hidden to some extent, and while some gets pathways, some don't even have any one to dwell with. After given a potion, you either fall into one of these pathways; the first being the Pathway of Lost, also known as the zero pathway was the most unfortunate pathway a person could ever get, this type of pathway, the variants finds it hard to unfold their powers. The types of people who fall under this pathway are those with a weak supernatural lineage or a commoner with no supernatural lineage, and they also end up getting great cosmic powers after they managed to unlock their path. There were many other paths of significance and some could be considered worthless, so divination cards were made, not tarots but differs a bit, probably in the naming and also functions. Created by the Monarch of the Ethereal moon, the God of probability, and the goddess of the beyond. A total of 23 cards in a deck, each representing different pathways and possible outcomes if a person was to drink the Cosmic portion, the cards were also commonly used by Aces of excilium since they were the one most likely to have the ability to use them skillfully.

The Manaris were rushing south, ridding their horse with such glory, today, they were going to invade the rex planet, they had previously raced into a huge portal which was large enough to occupy the whole army, they had started raidin the clan penetrating through their defenses easily.

Within the walls of the castle was where a council meeting was taking place, Lazarus immediately stood up in anger, hearing what the messenger came to deliver, he found it hard to believe that after fighting a battle with them, they still came after them in only a day. This guys were relentless, its like they won't stop until the Rex clan is wiped out. The elders stood up in fear, they had started murmuring indistinctively in the rexron language.

"We need to up our defenses, Riker, rally up our troops!!!" Lazarus turned to his general, Rikar.

"I'll inform the Golden warriors! There's no way this guys would defeat us in our home." Mak said with an evil grin.

"And I'll alert the Northern Kingdom, this is laughable." Easlu, the Baron of the Norther territory said with a smile.

"An I'll call in the dragon warrio..." Lazarus immediately interrupted them.

"No, that'll be enough for them, let's have fun while killing them." Lazarus couldn't help but laugh at their stupidity, the Lazarus Army were in fact enough to contend with them not to talk of the addition of two other neighboring kingdoms. He was finally glad to get the opportunity to finally waste them off, today, the Manari race would be wipped out!!

Some could call it hard breaking into the king's study and snooping around, but was as easy as taking a candy from a baby to Danny. He sat on the leather cushion while rummaging through the huge books on the study desk. What was he looking for in particular? He didn't know at all, probably to find some sort of note or letter sent to the king about Gary. It wasn't new to him again that a lot of people were after Gary for what he had, the King might as well be part of the band. The purple moon rays weren't enough to give the type of brightness Danny expected, the two lamps at each end of the table made his search convenient. Danny had searched every nook and cranny of the books on the desk, even as far as checking the drawers, but his search led nowhere. He had finally gave up, resting his back on the soft leather while thinking of what else he could do, he stood up to walk out of the room when something caught his attention, a house-percher fixed on the wall. House-perchers were spies and also humanoid like everyone else, but they had the power of shape-shifting into a creature with its looks similar to that of a wall gecko. House-perchers could only mean two things, there for war to spy on their enemy, or to invade a persons privacy. Thankfully, the moon light had given out its location. Knowing that Danny already saw it. the house-percher attempted an escape but the latter swiftly brought out a card which immediately gave an orange glow. He successfully hit his target, freezing it right on spot as it slowly transformed back into a humanoid figure still fixed to the wall. Danny drew out his sword before stealthily walking towards him, the man was groaning desperately begging for his release, but Danny didn't feel the slightest pity for it, this was their nature, they were too persuasive. Danny softly placed his sword on his neck, before he begun the interrogation.

"Why are you here?! Who sent you!" Danny raised the pitch of his voice, probably to alert the guards nearby.

"Ple...please don't kill me." The man's voice evidently portrayed fear.

"I asked a question!" Danny managed to raise quite an alarm as a total of six guards waltzed into the room. Taken aback by the scene, one of the guards asked.

"My prince, what's going on here?"

"This house-percher was spying at me the whole time." Danny answered. "Summon the king, I think he has some explanation to do." The man's plea weren't heard, the King came to the scene rather late, but the spy was still within Danny's control. The king knew exactly who sent the man, their archenemy the Psychic wolf Kingdom, and it was certain that their calling was war!!

Gary and Rea had already took to the dance floor, gracefully swaying their body to the gentle flow of piano and other musical instruments.

'Looks can be deceiving sometimes you know.' Gary knew what Vincent meant by this but still asked:

"And what's that supposed to mean." Gary shifted his gaze to Rea while taking cautious movement in order not to break the rhythmic movement and give the chance for an awkward one set in. He wondered what time the party would come to an end, but still he had to exercise patience no matter what, he planned on asking her about the bridge train and how it was being operated here. Every planet had their different ways by which they run their affairs, unlike the previous planet where a visitor is forced to stay at an hotel before accessing the bridge train. This planet's own might as well be different and his best guess was the inclusion of financial power which he lacked at the moment. So waiting wasn't an option.

'Well its supposed to mean that, this girl is obviously using you dum-dum' Vincent really wanted to do his best to convince him , and why in such hurry to get back home? Gary had accurately read his thoughts and very well known that Vincent wouldn't stop his ranting anytime soon.

'Cause you want a body now doesn't mean I can't do things my way' Gary sighed outwardly, his speech portraying a bit of intensity. Vincent wouldn't hold back from bringing up a counter word at some point he'll have to just leave him alone to keep on ranting.

'Your way? Psh, you're glad I'm here, if not, you'd be a dead man.' Vincent waxed to the hints and combat coaching.

Gary's consciousness slowly began to weaver, he couldn't quite access the situation at hand, he slowly took some feeble steps backwards, inflicting Rea with worry.

"Are you okay?" She quickly grabbed him by the arm to stop him from stuttering any further. The aching pain noise that pierced his ears caused his legs to succumb and causing him to drop down to his knees, miniature blood slowly dripped down his nose.

"Someone please call an ambulance." Rea had gotten the attention of the people around, commotion had already set in, everyone patrolled around in fear, and to quickly seek for help. A young fairly handsome teen rushed to Gary who was already suffocating due to lack of air.

;What's going on Vincent.' No reply came from Vincent at all, Gary could feel both the Optisiar and Azura energy present but it wasn't doing anything, he could hear multiple sound and in a state of confusion, all his body ached badly, who knew death could be really this painful. Oh no this could be the end of the road for him.

A loud laughter echoed all through the place, in fact surpassing the noise caused by the crowd, everyone suddenly became silent, everyone shifted their gaze to the source of the noise, and beheld a terrifying sight, a female demon donned in a black robe which was already in flames, her face was more to be described than monstrous, her skin orange and bright like hell flames and her hand filled with ethereal hell flames. For every step she took , a fire outburst was released. The brave among the males confronted her, but their magical attacks were no match for her, but did the job in slowing her down.

Gary smiled to slowly drift into the world of nothingness, how was this possible? Wasn't he supposed to be immortal? He still kept on feeling much pain but why hadn't he died yet? Everything paused there and then. Wisp! Wisp! Gary was back to reality, in front of him was worried Rea, everything was absolutely normal, like nothing ever happened.

"Are you okay?" Rea had noticed Gary's weird behavior, he had been in a trance and she had tried waking him out of it.

"Yeah, I'm totally fine." He beckoned to continue dancing. There was no way that was a trance or a dream, or even a lucid dream, everything seemed real, the flow of time when it happened and when he was with Rea dancing were totally aligned and no details were missed proving its authenticity and the pain he felt in addition... No way it could have been a dream, probably a Paradox? But then, one person's face pictured in his head. In a flash, he gasped and was taken aback by the ugly face of the demon who previously attacked him at....where?

"Gary, I don't think you're okay, what's going on?" For the second time he had gotten her worried, he definitely needed to excuse himself.

"Be right back"

He stormed into the rest room, the place was surprisingly empty, he turned on the tap, but once again, her image took him stuttering backwards. She started laughing hysterically revealing her black teeth and beyond them were orange lights, maybe her internal organs were also made of flames. Gary kept on wheezing heavily while the woman or she-devil, had a devilish smile on her face. The frequency of her image appearance reminded him of someone.

" Vincent!!" Gary heard a string of laughter, in his head, he could see the woman laughing like a fool. Gary immediately became relieved knowing that Vincent was responsible, but how?

'Bro, you're so scared. And you boast to Danny about watching horror movies' Vincent's voice clearly portrayed that he was indeed guilty. Gary was frustrated to the core and wanted to know how Vincent was able to pull up such move. wasn't he supposed to be invulnerable to any attack whatsoever? How did Vincent, the one he expected the least, instill fear in him.

"How? It looked so realistic." Gary stuttered, looking at his reflection whilst firmly gripping the ceramic washing basin.

'Lets called it Paradox and Mind manipulation.' Vincent answered.

"How did you do it!" Gary really needed answers.

'I'm you, and might as well be your consciousness, and the only one who can manipulate you. The feeling you got wasn't me manipulating the optisiar which is impossible no matter how logic is defiled....

'Rather, it was your mind, transporting you to a fragment of your imagination, the paradoxical void. There I can make you see what I want you to see without a how. Serves you right though.' Vincent was truly a genius, and Gary couldn't deny that fact, he walked out of the washroom whilst continuing his interrogation.

"And for the big question, why did you do it?" Gary stopped soothing his long hair while waiting for Vincent's reply.

"To get you off that girl obviously, we need to get to Dirvan!!' The reply was expected of Vincent, Gary sighed before leaving to the dance hall, he had kept himself on guard in case Vincent tried pulling up any trick.
