Chapter 107: Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop

However, Ivan shook his head and looked in one direction, saying, "Sorry, my friend is waiting for me over there!"

When she turned to where he was looking, Cho Chang saw Hermione standing in the doorway.

"Oh, well, it was nice to meet you." Cho Chang looked a little disappointed and said in a gentle tone, "Goodbye, Ivan!"

"Goodbye!" Ivan waved goodbye.

"Who is that girl?" Hermione approached, looking suspiciously at Cho Chang's back.

Ivan hastened to explain, "Her name is Cho Chang and she's a fourth year Ravenclaw student, I accidentally knocked her down and helped her pick up her candy, and then she invited me to Madam Puddifoot's tea store across the street."

"Madam Puddifoot's tea store?" Hermione repeated it quietly, eyes narrowed, "It looks beautiful!"

"Yes, it's very...", Ivan felt something was wrong, he hadn't finished his words yet, but Hermione, who was standing in front of him, suddenly looked a little sad.

"Cho Chang looks very nice, but she's not my type." Ivan said cautiously. "To me, you'll always be the prettiest, Hermione!"

At his words, Hermione's face flushed and the tense atmosphere softened.

"This is not like you, Ivan!" Hermione said in a serious tone, but still had a smile on her face, "You must have learned this from Vicky."

Vicky Frobisher was Ivan's roommate, a handsome boy who was also a womanizer, who chased a lot of girls and had a bad reputation at school.

"I really believe that," Ivan looked seriously at Hermione, thinking seriously and trying to remember in his head all the advice Vicky had told them all about chasing girls every night before bed.

"Okay, I'll believe you for the moment." Hermione was embarrassed and tried to avoid Ivan's eyes.

The atmosphere was awkward, and Ivan remembered that Vicky had said that these moments are crucial, that it was important to take advantage of the situation and not give the girls a chance to avoid him.

But what should he do now?!

Before crossing over, Ivan had no romantic experience. He had no time to think about such a thing with all the studies and exams he had.

Even if he liked a girl, he would look at her from afar.

When it came to Hermione, Ivan didn't know what to do, but he knew he had to say something!

"Hermione, I..." Ivan gathered his courage.

"Wait a minute, Ivan!" Hermione seemed to have realized something and her eyes, dodging Ivan's gaze, looked up at him. "You're too careless. The school hasn't allowed you to go to Hogsmeade. If you get caught, then you'll be..."

"Don't worry, I don't think Cho Chang is the kind of person who would rat me out." Ivan blinked, and the atmosphere he had created collapsed in a second.

"Of course not, but what would you do if Malfoy saw you? You'd be in big trouble, especially since we just offended Professor Snape in the morning," Hermione said worriedly. "Hurry up, you should put on Harry's invisibility cloak."

Ivan realized that Hermione was right, the next second, he saw Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle enter Honeydukes, so he hurriedly took out Harry's invisibility cloak and covered himself with it.

Just as it disappeared, he heard Malfoy's voice approaching, "This year's Quidditch Cup belongs to Slytherin. Who would have thought Potter would be so afraid of Dementors? Next time they have a game, the three of us might come with capes, he might even fall off his broom. Then they'll have to put a parachute on Potter's flying broom."

Crabbe and Goyle laughed, Malfoy smirked. He felt better about what he said when he suddenly saw Hermione standing alone in the corner, she had a mischievous grin on her pale face.

"Other than that, my father will be attending a hearing organized by the Committee for the Elimination of Dangerous Creatures in January to tell their members that I haven't been able to move my arm for three months." Malfoy deliberately raised his voice. "I really hope I can take part of it moment when it happens, so I can see that stupid furry monster trying to defend that creature: it's not harmful! Really, it's safe!"

"Come on, Ivan!", Hermione ignored Malfoy.

She knew he was just talking nonsense, with his recent efforts, both Hagrid and Buckbeak should be fine, and there was no need to respond to Malfoy.

Malfoy should be furious about this.

He narrowed his eyes as Hermione walked past him, he looked like he wanted to stop her, but hesitated and did nothing.

Hermione was alone, without Ivan or Harry or Ron by her side, and Malfoy didn't want to look like he was bullying a girl.

"Think about it, when they cut that stupid Hippogriff's head off, I think he'll cry," Malfoy said deliberately, looking at Hermione's back as he walked away.

Hearing Malfoy's laughter, Ivan became irritated, then, he saw a barrel of jelly slugs at Malfoy's side and suddenly had an idea.

"Open the door and wait for me for a bit!" Ivan whispered to Hermione.

It was too good an opportunity to pass up.

He walked silently behind Malfoy, aimed for his butt, pulled his foot back, and then kicked him with everything he had!

The next second, with a thud, Malfoy fell head first into the bucket of jelly slugs, splashing sugary green juice everywhere.

His legs struggled and he screamed into the barrel as Crabbe and Goyle tried to pull him out with panicked faces.

The scene was chaotic, everyone in the store turned to look at Malfoy in shock, wondering why he had stuck his head in a bucket of slugs, even if he liked sweets, he didn't have to be so dramatic.

Ignoring the chaos behind him, Ivan ran out of the Honeydukes store laughing, and thinking how happy Harry and Ron would be when they found out about this. Unfortunately, Colin wasn't there. Otherwise, this would have been on the front page of next week's paper.

"You shouldn't have done that, Ivan!" Hermione said, as she looked both ready to laugh and a little worried at the same time. "If Malfoy finds out you're here..."

"I have the invisibility cloak on, Hermione, he can't see me, no one will know I did it." Ivan shivered and realized he wasn't wearing a coat. "We need to find somewhere to go, how about the Three Broomsticks? butterbeer would be perfect in this weather!"

"It's best not to go there. That store is very popular. Malfoy might as well go there. We'd better go to Hog's Head or...," Through her thick scarf, Hermione suddenly saw a small teahouse on the corner that she had never seen before. The sign on the outside read "Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop."

She still remembered what Ivan had said a moment ago. Cho Chang from Ravenclaw had just invited him there, so maybe she should take a look too.
