Chapter 170: A Taste of Revenge

At the sight of Snape, Hermione screamed; Black jumped to his feet and the two of them looked at each other angrily; Harry jumped as if he had received a great electric shock.

"Don't be surprised, I got a little help from Mr. Weasley, he's very helpful, I have him to thank!" Snape turned sideways, his wand pointed firmly at Sirius Black's chest.

From his side, Ron entered the common room expressionless, his eyes fixed on Harry, Hermione and Sirius Black.

Harry and Hermione couldn't believe it. They looked at Ron in anguish. They couldn't understand why he was doing this, why he brought Snape?

Even though he knew Ron was in control, Harry still felt he couldn't forgive him. He had never hated Ron so much.

"Mr. Weasley has provided me with a very useful accessory." Snape was a little breathless, but his face was full of suppressed triumph. He pulled out the Marauder's Map and threw it on the floor. "Remember this joke parchment, Potter?"

"The Marauder's Map!" Harry and Hermione were surprised again, and even Black was surprised to see the parchment Snape threw to the ground.

Hermione suddenly burst into tears. She remembered that before he left, Ivan told her that he had gone to Professor Lupin's office to find the Marauder's Map.

But this map is in Ron and Snape's hands, does this mean that Ivan had already met Peter Pettigrew?

Where is he now? what happened to him?

"This map!" Snape looked at Black, his eyes flashed. "Just by looking at it, I understood everything I needed to understand. I saw you walking down the corridor towards Gryffindor Tower. Now you're..."

"Shut up, Quejicus!" Black glared violently at Snape, looking for an opportunity to attack him. "Why are you at Hogwarts?"

"Obviously, when you were confined to Azkaban for murder, I became a professor, a Potions class teacher!" Snape glared at Black, his eyes flashing fiercely. "Who could have imagined this situation more than ten years ago?! However, I have to say that even though you murdered James and Peter Pettigrew, although many people were shocked, I was not surprised at all. After all, in your student days, you had already shown the potential to become a murderer."

"Serves you right!" Black clenched his fist and sneered, "Sneaking around, trying to figure out what we were doing.... Hoping you could get us expelled. So I told you how to get into the Shrieking House, let you follow Lupin, and see him there for once. I still remember that day, when James rescued you. You were so scared you peed your pants. "

"Shut up!" Snape shouted, and a few flashs appeared at the end of his wand.

"Afraid to recall the embarrassing memories of your student days?" Black glared at Snape disdainfully. "You're still the same as before, with a runny nose! James shouldn't have saved you that day!"

"He wasn't saving me, he was saving himself." Snape's face was distorted and his breathing became rapid. "Look what the werewolf did, attacking his students..."

"You despicable bastard, Lupin would never do that." Black roared at Snape, but the latter pointed his wand directly between his eyes.

They stared at each other, and you couldn't recognize who had deeper hatred on their faces.

"Professor Lupin is innocent; Sirius is innocent too!" Harry shouted, took a step and stopped between Snape and Black.

"Professor Snape, please believe us." Hermione also said, "This is all Pettigrew's-"

"Shut up, Potter, shut up, Granger!" spat Snape, narrowing his eyes, "You're already facing suspension from this school, you're off limits, in the company of a convicted murderer and a proven guilty werewolf!"

"No, they're not, it's all because of Peter Pettigrew..." said Harry.

"Shut up, Potter! For once in your life, shut your mouth," said Snape.

"What's happening now is a conspiracy. Peter Pettigrew is controlling Ron. Last night he was wrong about Professor Lupin, he..." Hermione said impatiently.

"SHUT UP, YOU STUPID GIRL!" shouted Snape, even more deranged. "If Weasley, whose head is empty, can't learn to protect his own brain and keep his mind under control, of course anyone could control him. But I don't care, I don't care if he's being controlled, I don't care if the werewolf is innocent, I don't care about any conspiracy, I'll just catch Black and give him to the Dementors."

He was screaming in rage. His face was distorted, and a few flashs flew from the tip of his wand, which was still pointed at Black's face.

Harry and Hermione took a step back, pale, and didn't know what to say. They had never seen Snape look like this before.

"Revenge is very sweet," Snape said to Black. "How I wished I was the one to catch you, now is the time for revenge..."

"I will catch the rat, Peter Pettigrew, and return quietly to Azkaban, even if I stay there for the rest of my life..." said Black.

"Azkaban?!" Snape flashed a cold smile. "I don't think we need to go that far. All I have to do is call the Dementors once we leave the castle. They'll be delighted to see you, Black.... delighted to give you a little kiss..."

Hearing his words, what little color was left in Black's face left him. "You can't do this; you must listen to me, the boy's rat..."

"Are you afraid?!" There was a mad gleam in Snape's eyes. "When you betrayed them, when you told him about the location of their house, you should have imagined there would be such a day."

"No, I didn't...," Black said.

"You're the one who got her killed, so you deserve to die too!" said Snape in a single word, his voice unmistakably strange, as if he had lost his mind.

Harry noticed that Snape's eyes seemed to glisten with tears.

It must have been an illusion. Harry blinked, and when he looked carefully, he could only see the frantic hatred in Snape's eyes.

Hatred had completely engulfed Snape's body, and he was savoring the taste of revenge.
