Chapter 230: Forest in Albania

When Ivan came out of the alley, he couldn't see the girl.

The main streets of Diagon Alley were filled with carnival crowds, cheering, celebrating, drinking hot butterbeer, dancing through the streets accompanied by Christmas music, and the atmosphere was filled with boisterous noises and laughter.

Looking at the lively scene in front of him, Ivan was stunned.

He thought of the mysterious vampire Elaine, and felt that he was in an unreal dream. In his mind, he kept thinking about what she had just said, the mysterious vampire, the forgotten descendants of Slytherin, the arrangement of fate, and the dangerous prophecy....

Ivan took a deep breath. He didn't know what fate awaited him.

When he returned to the Leaky Cauldron, not far from the bustling Diagon Alley, the silent, shadowy night alley showed another picture.

In the pale, shadowy moonlight, no one could see into the dark, dingy alley, and the ramshackle stores on either side of the street were all dark.

They were all black magic stores. In the windows, there were some shrunken heads, nails, corpses and the like, which looked creepy.

On the corner of the street, an old wooden sign hung in front of a store selling poisonous candles, with black letters screwed on it, telling people it was a dead end.

Across the two storefronts, a large cage was placed in front of the main entrance to the store, and large black spiders crawled inside, making a strange sound.

It all seemed unpleasant and had nothing to do with Christmas.

Near the street entrance, in a dark doorway, a shabby old hag was hiding there.

Her yellow eyes glittered mischievously, no doubt looking well into the street, and her incomplete teeth were covered with green moss.

She smiled grimly as she found unusual prey.

Not far behind her, a small girl, dressed in a large black robe, with delicate features and a stunningly beautiful face, hurried into the alley.

From time to time, she would raise her head and look around, as if she didn't know where she was.

The old hag licked her teeth. To her, the girl looked like a poor kitten that got lost and fell into the alley. She was good prey.

She smiled wider and looked at what she had found: a good Christmas present, and her corpse would be the perfect addition to her collection.

Elaine gasped, unaware that someone was watching her in the dark, and tried her best to run as far away as possible.

She felt her uncle's scent getting closer and closer. She found herself unable to let him know that she had already spoken to the chosen one of the family prophecy, and the most important point was that she could not let him know about Ivan's affairs, otherwise....

Just as Elaine was thinking what to do, a voice suddenly came to her ear and startled her.

"Aren't you lost, my dear?"

She saw an old hag standing in front of her and looking at her greedily.

Elaine took a step back, and before she could speak, a long, narrow, sharp red magic with a triangular tip came flying.

Like a blood-red arrow, it pierced the body of the old witch in front of her.

On the old witch's body was drawn with a long wound. The curious thing was that no blood gushed out of the wound.

She screamed loudly, and her face contorted as she agonized.

Elaine lifted her startled head beyond the escaping witch. She saw the air roll up and down like a small tornado.

A middle-aged man dressed in a black wizard's robe with a cold face suddenly emerged from the swirling air.

"Uncle...," Elaine called out faintly.

"Elaine, what you've done this time is too outrageous. You've run off alone while I wasn't there, and you haven't dared to think of the consequences. What would you do if someone found out your identity?" The middle-aged man scolded her, walking straight toward her.

"I want to help too!" Elaine had some complaints and whispered, "I also want to help the family find the person mentioned in the prophecy as soon as possible, this time..."

"There are already some positive signs about it. I've been out all this time to check the news. He's been spotted recently in the forests of Albania," the man said.

"Forest in Albania?!" Elaine said, "Who would be in that place? is it the wizard you mentioned earlier, the guy named Voldemort?"

"Exactly, that's him. He's the only descendant of Salazar among the wizards." The middle-aged man sighed at the mention of Voldemort, and his face grew grimmer.

"But..." Elaine hesitated and continued. "Is it possible it's not him? I mean, maybe we made a mistake. The person in the prophecy who can help us is not Voldemort. In fact, there is someone else..."

She remembered Ivan, who had the Slytherin locket, which was also in line with the requirements of the prophecy. Elaine believed it was fate's arrangement to meet Ivan.

"I also hope it's not him." The middle-aged man mused and said, "No matter how you look at it, it's extremely stupid to cooperate with the most evil Dark Wizard in history. If we do this, it will probably lead to our end, and he won't be willing to help us. But Voldemort is the only one right now, and I only think he's a Slytherin..."

"Man, I found one this time..." Upon learning that Voldemort was the only person selected, Elaine rushed to explain and tell her uncle about Ivan.

However, she immediately hesitated. Although Ivan fulfilled the conditions of the prophecy, he was weak, too weak to defeat her.

In Elaine's opinion, having Ivan enter the place was tantamount to seeking his death.

"What did you find?!" The middle-aged man looked quizzically at Elaine.

"No, nothing, I found the wizarding streets were so lively, more interesting than my house, I want to go to Hogwarts to study, I got the admission letter last year, why don't you let me go?" Elaine said in a hurry.

She decided to keep Ivan's adventure a secret, and go to Hogwarts to find him by herself, to turn him into a vampire with the First Embrace.

In this case, Ivan's strength should increase.

"Hogwarts?" The middle-aged man snorted and resolutely refused. "I have said it many times. This matter is not up for discussion. Our identity is taboo in the outside world. If you let other wizards know, they will definitely kill you."

"But..." Elaine argued, when Ivan learned that she was a vampire, he didn't seem too surprised.

"But nothing! Don't run around these days, and practice the magic I taught you at home!" he reached over and pulled Elaine out. "We have to be ready to go to the Albanian woods to find Voldemort and try to get in contact with him. No matter what the future holds, this is a fate the family cannot escape. "

There was a slight noise, took hold of them and they disappeared, and silence was restored to the deserted streets of Knockturn Alley.
