Sirius received a gift from the owner of the 'Quidditch for All' store, from the Quidditch League Games next year, a full set of 10, all with privileged seating, for the purchase of the firebolt.
The Quidditch League is short for the British and Irish Quidditch Team Super Quiz, held between the top 13 teams in the magical world.
Unlike the simple confrontation between the four Hogwarts Houses, the Quidditch League is a professional competition.
They have a high level of competition and recruit players from all over the world.
Gryffindor team captain Oliver Wood's biggest dream was to join Puddlemere United after graduation and become a professional player.
At school, he always brought the latest news from the Puddlemere United team. He contributed to the newspaper 'The Magic of Hogwarts' with articles about it, discussing the new tactical analysis used by the team, etc.
As they usually listened to what Wood said, Ivan, Harry and Hermione were also keen to see what the professional league was like.
They checked next year's calendar and discovered that on the first day of the New Year there was a match between Puddlemere United and Wimbourne Wasps.
Because it was the first Quidditch match after Christmas, and both teams were in high demand for the championship, and next summer would be the Quidditch World Cup and many other reasons, the game was very popular and it was hard to find a ticket. Fortunately, Sirius got the tickets.
After some discussion, they decided to watch the game before going back to school and invited the Weasleys to join them.
Ivan went downstairs, and these were the things he needed to accomplish during the rest of the Christmas holidays, the most important of which was to improve his own strength.
The second floor of the Leaky Cauldron was a mess, and it didn't feel like yesterday at all like Christmas.
Almost overnight, the little pub returned from its bustling Christmas party to its dingy appearance, as if it hadn't been cleaned in ages.
There was no unpleasant odor in the air, however, but it was filled with the aroma of food.
The bar owner, Tom, stood behind a rickety bar, grilling a number of sausages, and his face wore an ugly grin when he saw Ivan.
"Good morning, Mr. Mason!" said Tom.
"Good morning!" Ivan waved.
In the eccentric room not far away, Lupin, Sirius and Hermione were already up. They were sitting around a round table eating breakfast, happily discussing something.
They seemed to be waiting for Ivan to come and had prepared breakfast for him.
"Just in time, Ivan, we were just talking about you!" Sirius waved as Ivan came in, motioned for him to sit next to him and said straight to the point, "I just heard Remus and Hermione say it, are you thinking of renting a house in Diagon Alley?
"Yes!" Ivan nodded, wondering why Sirius had mentioned it. He took the milk Hermione handed him and explained. "I've considered it carefully. If I want to further expand the sales and influence of Hogwarts magic, I have to move the newspaper's headquarters to Diagon Alley, like the 'Daily the Prophet'. It's also convenient for Professor Lupin to handle things..."
"Have you picked the right place yet?" Sirius asked, "Renting the stores in Diagon Alley isn't cheap; it costs a lot of galleons!"
Ivan shook his head. In fact, this was exactly his problem.
Although he had made a lot of money from Hogwarts' lucrative magic advertising fees over the past two years, he had also spent a lot.
Aside from the cost of sponsoring various magic research projects by Fred, George, Hermione and other young wizards, the vast majority of his income was simply spent on collecting valuable magic books at Flourish and Blotts, and on the massive purchase of potion materials.
The money Ivan could afford to spend at the time was about two hundred gold galleons.
The money he had at his disposal was about two hundred gold galleons, and he could only afford a store in a remote area, but he hoped the location was not too remote.
But to top it all off, the most frustrating thing was that he couldn't spend all that money.
He had to give up some of it as a daily change in the newspaper, as well as buy the materials needed for magic tests, and things that needed to be upgraded....
The amount of money that had to be spent on magic improvement was a bottomless pit.
Not to mention the two hundred gold galleons, even if they gave him another two thousand gold galleons, it wouldn't be enough for him.
Ivan sighed; from all angles, he had to find a long-term profitable project that could make a lot of money.
While the operation of newspapers may be profitable, it is far from sufficient. The main objective of newspapers is to increase influence and control public opinion. Making money was an added advantage.
In addition, 'Hogwarts Magic' has reached a bottleneck in terms of revenue, and it will be difficult to increase it significantly in the near future.
As for viable and profitable projects, Ivan only knew of one.
That is the Weasley joke products developed by Fred and George, and it was very popular among other young wizards. If nothing went wrong, it could even become the largest brand of joke products in the magical world, and making money would not be a problem.
The problem now was that if they wanted to realize all the ideas in their heads and open the market, they still needed a large amount of money to invest at the beginning.
Ivan didn't have the money. Fred and George were even less likely to have it. All of their previous research and development expenses were almost entirely sponsored by Ivan.
In addition, if they wanted to open a joke store, they also had to rent a store in Diagon Alley.
All the problems came back to the original point. They didn't have enough money to rent a proper store in Diagon Alley at the same time.
The Weasley joke store could be delayed, but the question of the newspaper headquarters was imminent and had to be resolved during the Christmas vacations. It could not be delayed until next summer.
Ivan calculated that for a not too remote location, according to the surrounding situation and the flow of people, the annual rent was about three hundred to five hundred gold galleons.
This meant that he should at least find a way to get two hundred gold galleons.
Ivan was ready to determine the specific store first, and the money in hand could be used as rent. If there was really no way in the end, in his personal collection, there were many precious magic books and some potions he could sell.
Ivan wouldn't do it, however, unless it was his last resort.
He was thinking of a quick way to get 200 gold galleons. Even if he went over and asked his family for it, his parents wouldn't give him that much money at once.
He just wanted to borrow money, which was nearly impossible.
Whether it was the Weasleys or Lupin, Harry, Hermione and the people around Ivan, his financial level was relatively average, or could even be said to be difficult, unless....
Ivan suddenly thought of Sirius. Even though he had been in Azkaban for twelve years, he still had an incredible fortune being the sole heir of the most noble and ancient Black family.
From the fact that he happened to buy a firebolt for Harry as a Christmas present, you could tell he wasn't in a bad financial state at all. A few hundred gallons of gold wasn't going to be a problem for him.
Ivan's eyes turned bright. Sirius didn't wait for him to open his mouth and continued, "I can help you with the place. If I remember correctly, the Black family still has several stores in Diagon Alley. They are an ancestral legacy. You can use them whenever you want." Sirius said casually, "Otherwise, they'd be sitting there idle. If I rent them out, I don't have time to manage or collect rent."
When he heard Sirius, Ivan was stunned. The idea had just been brought up, and Sirius had already proposed it. Obviously, he had already planned to do it. As it turned out, he told Lupin and Hermione.
Ivan thanked Sirius hastily, but Sirius told him not to worry about such things.
In Sirius's eyes, compared to what Ivan had done to help him, it was nothing to offer him some stores.
Because so much time had passed, Sirius couldn't remember the exact number and location of the tents.
When Harry arrived, they discussed it for a while and decided to go to the Black family vault at Gringotts bank after breakfast and look for the deeds.
Ivan was also curious about the Black family vault. He wanted to see how staggering the wealth accumulated by this pureblood family over the last thousand years was.
