There was no sound in the Forbidden Forest, and all was quiet.
Under the cover of the dense leaves, the faint, pale sun seemed hard to see, and there seemed to be some disaster hidden in the shadows of the bushes.
None of the three spoke, and the sparse sounds of them walking on the leaves around them only added to their nervousness and unease.
Malfoy's anger gradually disappeared and nervousness took over, making his heart beat faster and faster.
Recklessness without purpose was not the Malfoy family style. If it hadn't been for Crabbe and Goyle's deterrence, he would have been the first to leave.
To save face, he decided to kill an Acromantula before returning to the castle.
By then, Flint should also have completed the boring and pointless task.
To embolden himself, Malfoy shouted, "Don't think that's the end of it. They're just gaining the upper hand for the moment. My father wrote to me the other day. He is not satisfied with the decision of the Committee for the Elimination of Dangerous Creatures. He decided to make an appeal. He has the support of several important people. For me, the Hippogriff, this time, is dead."
Goyle and Crabbe barely smiled, still looking around suspiciously.
"This time, that bloody dirty-blood Mason can't help him. The thought of that stupid hairy monster crying is enough to make me laugh. I can't believe he's still our teacher!" Malfoy leaned against a large tree with a mischievous grin on his pale face. "It's a disgrace. If Professor Snape would let me, I'd be the first to drop out of the Care of Magical Creatures course. My father always thought Dumbledore had problems with his management methods. After killing the Hippogriff, the next thing should be..."
Before he finished his words, he saw Goyle and Crabbe suddenly looking at him. They seemed to have found something. With frightened faces, their eyes were all looking up at the top.
"What's wrong with you two?" Malfoy said suspiciously. "You don't think, like the other idiots at school, that the noble Malfoy family will be defeated by some poor dirty-blooded maggots do you? I tell you this is absolutely impossible."
"Up.... a... Up, Draco!" Crabbe's voice was somewhat distorted.
Beside him, Goyle shivered and pointed at Malfoy's head. Something seemed to be blocking his throat and he was unable to speak for a long time.
Seeing the appearance of his two followers, an ominous foreboding rose in the depths of Malfoy's heart.
He swallowed, clenched his wand in his hand, slowly raised his head and looked up at the top of his head along the eyes of Goyle and Crabbe.
The next second, a piercing scream echoed through the Forbidden Forest.
Malfoy's face was pale, as if he were dead. He fell to the ground and stared in disbelief at the horrific scene before him: eight black, ferocious, hideous eyes stared back at him.
It was an Acromantula!!!!
Somehow, at some point, it had managed to crawl silently. It was less than half a meter away from Malfoy, and he could even see the hairs on its body.
What was more terrifying was the size of this Acromantula.
It was larger than any other Malfoy had ever seen before, with large, sharp pincers glowing with a throbbing cold light, and eight spider legs dancing around it.
Nausea...panic.....
Malfoy had no idea what words to use to describe his current feelings. He raised his wand unconsciously and a faint green light flew out.
This was a magic that Snape had taught him alone. It was very useful in dealing with Acromantulas. That was why he dared to enter the forest unaccompanied by a teacher.
However, due to excessive panic, the curse grazed the Acromantula's body and flew past without any effect.
Click, click, click, click, click....
There was a numbing sound, and the Acromantula ran towards Malfoy along the trunk.
Panicking, Malfoy cast another curse, trying to stop it from approaching him.
Just as the Acromantula landed on him, more than a dozen giant spiders emerged from the surrounding bushes.
Crabbe and Goyle turned around stupidly in the same spot, staring at them in a frenzied manner.
"Damn it, this was a trap, we're surrounded by Acromantulas!" Malfoy pointed his wand in his hand and shouted. "Don't just stand there stupidly, you fools."
At Malfoy's command, Goyle was completely lost. Instead of using his wand, Crabbe grabbed a branch from the ground and faced the oncoming Acromantulas, stretching his arms out like a fool.
Malfoy didn't have time to deal with the two idiots at his side. He wanted to run away, but the Acromantula in front of him was closely entangled with him.
Although it was huge, it moved very fast.
Malfoy's magic fell aside and made no difference.
Despair gradually occupied their minds. Everyone was now in the castle.
No one knew they were in the Forbidden Forest, and no one would come here to save them.
Click, click, click, click, click....
Malfoy was distracted, and his right arm holding the wand suddenly erupted in pain. He was bitten by the Acromantula, in the same place he had been attacked by Buckbeak last time.
But this time, it was not a long, deep cut, but a narrow, short wound.
In fact, the wound didn't come out with as much blood this time, but it was even more deadly.
The Acromantula is poisonous, and the blood around Malfoy's wound quickly turned a strange green.
"Help, I'm going to die!" Malfoy screamed and threw his wand.
But no one could save him. Goyle and Crabbe were caught by other Acromantulas, with their two big heads down, fighting fiercely. They were held tightly by the first two hairy legs of two Acromantulas and dragged towards the center of the forest.
If nothing happened, they would become food.
Since the young wizards of Hogwarts had started a full-scale war against the Acromantulas, the beasts had suffered heavy losses. That, along with Ivan's fire, had made the humans their mortal enemies. Hagrid had also told Ivan about this a few days ago. Aragog had not met him recently, and the descendants of the Acromantula had even started attacking him.
This was something that had never happened before.
Aragog had completely degenerated and had become the enemy of the wizards of Hogwarts.
In a situation of almost total war, these creatures naturally refused to remain idle and surrender to their deaths.
The tall, fat Goyle and Crab could be saved for later, but the bitten Malfoy, of course, was tonight's menu!
Alive, of course, the taste of dead human flesh was inferior!
But before that, they would take them to Aragog, and then enjoy the delicious live food!
