Ivan didn't have time to deal with Malfoy, nor did he care about his thanks.
Today, he risked his life to save Malfoy, Goyle and Crabbe. That didn't mean he wanted to improve his relationship with them and become friends.
The motive behind his actions was very simple; he simply didn't want them to be killed by Acromantulas, especially in front of him.
As stated before, this had nothing to do with personal feelings; it was about his own nature and conscience.
He was still thinking about the whispers that had just appeared in his mind. He did not understand the meaning of those words. There was a voice inside him, still luring him into the cave below.
"No one knows the secret. In the deepest part of the earth, if you find the emblem, you will know everything." Ivan repeated it slowly.
Actually, he really wanted to explore the cave.
He didn't like to feel that there was something hidden in the unknown existence of Aragog's lair, perplexing him, and things were getting out of hand.
The other side wasn't Voldemort, and probably wasn't as powerful as Voldemort.
But Ivan knew nothing about it. He couldn't prepare as he did step by step against Voldemort. He no longer had the major advantage of knowing the future.
Maybe he could go to the library to look for information or ask Dumbledore for some clues.
But, first of all, he had to know what the emblem that had been mentioned in the whisper looked like.
Only then would he be able to find out who the other side was.
The sound of rustling echoed through the cave, and Ivan checked Buckbeak a little. He wanted to see what was going to come out of it.
He thought it would be Aragog and his elite Acromantulas, but unexpectedly, about five seconds later, a large group of small dark blue spiders came out of the cave.
They looked very fragile, with light red stripes on their bodies.
These little spiders seemed to have hatched and were very afraid of the sun.
They huddled around the cave entrance, covered in a milky white mist, and dove into the carcasses hanging from the huge web in front of the Lair.
Ivan let Buckbeak approach again, and he could clearly see that with the entrance of the small spiders, those that had not yet fully adapted to the weather, were going under the skins of the corpses.
They struggled to tear the flesh with their newly hatched pincers, pierced the blood vessels deep into the corpses, and soon disappeared.
The whole process was extremely cruel, causing numbness in the scalp.
The mere thought of this scene is frightening enough. No one knew how many young Acromantulas were hidden in the nearly 100 corpses.
Before long, they would become the next generation of warriors.
Malfoy, who was sitting behind Ivan, was afraid that if Ivan had not saved them, he would probably end up just like the corpses below, and would be hung there to become the food for the Acromantula larvae.
Looking at the scene in front of him, he felt very sick. A breeze blew and Malfoy, dazed, staggered onto Buckbeak's back. He rushed to grab the Hippogriff's feathers with all his might, but could muster no strength.
His arm, where the Acromantula had just bitten him, had lost all feeling, and a tingling was spreading rapidly throughout his body.
Malfoy wanted to urge Ivan to leave and return to the castle. He was really scared now, fearing the consequences of being treated too late.
And for some reason, he also seemed to be hallucinating.
With the invasion of the poison, he felt that everything around him seemed unreal. A voice sounded in his head, whispering and echoing.
Malfoy could not hear clearly what the other party was saying, nor did he want to hear it clearly.
His face was pale, and he didn't have his usual demeanor. Now he just wanted to get away from this hell and get back to the warm and comfortable castle.
Even if he had to beg Ivan, even if he had to face the accusations of all the Slytherins again, even if he saw Harry's cheerful appearance, he didn't want to stay here.
Malfoy was about to speak, and then he stopped.
He felt something crawl across his skin. He slowly lowered his head and saw a small spider crawling out of the wound, just like the Acromantulas crazily burrowing into corpses.
Malfoy was frightened, and as he prepared to take a closer look, the small spider disappeared, it was all an illusion.
The pressure of death nearly took his breath away.
"I'm going to die!" This was Malfoy's only thought.
The next second, all he saw was black, and he fell head over heels.
Ivan, Goyle and Crabbe didn't expect Malfoy to suddenly faint, and watched as he fell straight into Aragog's lair.
"Damn!" Ivan hastily controlled Buckbeak to fly down.
Click, click, click, click, click.
An adult Acromantula suddenly emerged from the cave. It seemed to have anticipated that this would happen and had been waiting here for a long time.
It used its two front legs to hold Malfoy tightly and dragged him into the depths of the cave as fast as it could.
Ivan wanted to stop her, but as soon as Buckbeak landed, the swarm of small spiders quickly approached.
In the blink of an eye, hundreds of tiny Acromantulas emerged from the corpses in the web, clicking continuously, rapidly mobilizing their pincers.
Crabbe and Goyle screamed in horror, and the two grabbed hold of Buckbeak's feathers and crouched down on him.
Their two fat bodies were curled up and curled into a ball, looking very funny.
Buckbeak also flapped his wings and dared not land, fear shining in his eyes.
In a sense, these little Acromantulas were even more terrifying than the adult Acromantulas. They swarmed densely, and once they were close to the body, they bit into the skin and punctured the blood vessels, and then, only death remained.
The scenes of them entering the corpses were still vivid, and no one dared to touch them.
Ivan jumped to the ground and shouted, "FIRE!"
At the end of his wand, a golden-red flame shot out, and the flame spun. Under Ivan's guidance, a wall of fire formed to block the spiders that rushed at him. Soon, the cave entrance was filled with the smell of burning flesh, and the spider larvae emitted contorted screams and were all slain.
By then, Malfoy and the huge Acromantula had disappeared.
"Draco's been dragged away!" Goyle pointed to the cave and shouted loudly. "We must save him, or he will die."
Crabbe shoved him hurriedly, looked closely at Ivan's face and asked cautiously, "What must we do now?"
What else was there to do? who would have thought that Malfoy would fall off Buckbeak's back?
It was all over. They had to return to Hogwarts to inform Dumbledore of what had happened here, and he could solve this problem safely and perfectly.
But now there was a sudden accident. And by the time Dumbledore and other professors came, Malfoy would probably be dead.
Ivan walked down the gentle slope two steps and half his body entered the cave.
In the dark, secluded cave, the strange feeling appeared again, and this time he was well prepared, not lost like last time.
Deep down, he had the urge to go deeper into the cave, but reason kept Ivan sober.
"Let's get out of here and hurry back and inform the professors!" Ivan made up his mind, "If we do it fast enough, it shouldn't be too late.
If Harry were here, he wouldn't even think about it and would rush straight in.
It was his character, but Ivan was different.
He could risk saving Malfoy, but the situation was clearly beyond his abilities, and it would be foolish to rush in like this.
