Chapter 365: The Call of the Evil God

This evil god was like a mixture of all the monsters Ivan saw before in the murals of the Temple. He had features of all those monsters in his huge round body.

He was not so much a god; he was purely a monster.

Those fallen centaurs were simply insane to believe in such a creature.

Flesh and blood converged on him, but they still could not fill him. The figure of the evil spirit expanded outward, until it became almost as large as the huge vortex of clouds above the Temple of the Moon.

Its body, which had been covered with flesh and bone, had a series of open cracks and scars on it. These cracks seemed to be innumerable, endless, opening and closing.....

Soon, everywhere, over his dark green circular body, which was awash in shadows, he was covered by the dark clouds, and the two seemed to merge into one.

On the platform, the fallen centaurs lay prostrate on the ground, muttering incomprehensible words in their mouths, and did not even dare to raise their heads. Only Ivan and Okegiga were standing there.

Okegiga took a step forward and stopped immediately.

The sky began to rain abruptly and the raindrops were getting bigger and bigger.

These raindrops were all dark red in color, like dried blood.

The rain fell on the Temple built of obsidian. The eternal rocks were full of bloody bubbles, and they were fading and losing their former luster.

A green membrane began to appear on the ground, like green moss that was growing taller and taller. Strange plants began to emerge, growing rapidly in the rain.

The twisted tentacles of the evil god were like tree roots. They were rooted in the huge stone statue and the Temple of the Moon. Cracks began to appear in the hard stones.

"What should we do now?" muttered Okegiga.

The mighty Centaur Warrior looked desperate, as this evil creature seemed invincible.

Ivan did not answer. He was concentrating on finding the source of the magic. With the appearance of the evil god, the Philosopher's Stone magic left by Gryffindor was accelerating its dissipation.

Now, the entire Temple platform was filled with restless magic.

With this magic within the creature's reach, no matter how many fallen centaurs there were to overcome, they would never be able to stop it!

The remaining path was to find the wooden statue Okegiga spoke of.

This was the root of it all. Destroying it would put an end to the coming of this evil god, or it would reseal it through the magic used by the ancient sorcerers.

As for fighting the thing, that wasn't going to happen!

If they could, the ancient sorcerers would have not only sealed it, but destroyed it once and for all.

Ivan didn't know where the fallen centaurs had hidden the wooden statue. He followed the trajectory of the magic, trying to locate it, but it was as if he were trying to locate a wave in a vast, raging ocean.

Perhaps, all his efforts before the arrival of the evil spirit were in vain.

But Ivan didn't give up - there must be a way!

He did not know how Okegiga sealed the evil god in the real story again. Though brave, the problem he faced should have been beyond his capabilities.

Of course, this wasn't the real world after all. It might as well be something invented by Gryffindor, to increase the difficulty of the challenge.

No matter what, everything in this illusion was all too real. It was as if Ivan had returned to the Centaur civil war eight hundred years ago.

In the sky, the huge spherical body of the evil spirit slowly protruded forward, and its slow red eyes were all downward, staring coldly at Ivan and Okegiga.

A strange voice echoed from somewhere, echoing through the centaur colony.

"Human mage, you still try to resist the great existence that is destined to remain unknown!" Slowly he said, "This is absurd! With all the men I have witnessed, the oldest and strongest emotion human beings have is fear, and the oldest and strongest of fears is that of the unknown."

Ivan ignored him and tried to concentrate.

He had studied it carefully before, and just like the guy he met in the depths of the earth, the words the other party echoed and whispered constantly were actually magic acting on the soul, which could lead to the birth of most negative emotions in one's heart.

In this regard, I was already prepared.

"EXPECT PATRONUM!" he shouted and waved his wand to summon his Patronus.

The two previous experiences reminded him that the Patronus Charm that emanated positive energy and could resist all negative emotions was not only effective against Dementors, but also against these evil gods and creations of the void.

It looked like he had to study this magic again after the end of the challenge!

He focused his attention, thinking about what would make him happiest and Hermione and the tutelage of Hogwarts.

The cat, which was made of silver light, swirled around him and Okegiga, and finally rested on his shoulder.

A milky white shield of energy appeared out of nowhere, blocking the infiltration of the evil forces.

"Weak human mage, like your ancestors, you are making useless resistance. That I didn't destroy you immediately was the greatest kindness you could find."

The huge body of the evil spirit continued to move forward, staring coldly at Ivan.

"My companions and I come from the darkest corners of the world. The human mages who have seen it before have gone mad!" it continued, "That is the present of our world, and it is also your future. Beneath the vast ocean, there are endless secrets..."

Ivan increased the magic output, and the voice became intermittent.

With the infiltration of the evil spirit, the energy shield in front of him was covered with cracks, which could break at any moment, and the Patronus on his shoulder seemed to slowly fall asleep.

Ivan clenched his fists and was sweating all over.

Ever since he acquired the powerful magic of Slytherin's locket, he never felt so in need of more magical power!

"Do you want to discover the essence of fear?" The voice of the evil god broke in again. "You seem to have no fear, but in the face of real fear, either go mad and become my follower like these centaurs; or like your ancestors, flee from the light and flee to a new dark age to seek peace and safety."

"I found it, there it is!" Ivan finally found the source of all the magical gathering.

He shouted to the Centaur at his back, but Okegiga did not move.

The Centaur stood there silently, as if petrified, or was it just an image!

"Damn!" Ivan waved his wand and jumped off the Centaur.

He didn't know what tricks Gryffindor was playing again. Was he focused on cheering for this evil god and forgot to control the Centaur?

The battle had reached its final phase - all questions were to be left for later!
