Chapter 477: Temptation of the Veela

"Ladies and gentlemen, good evening, welcome to the final of the 422nd World Quidditch Championship!"

Just as Ludo Bagman finished, the crowd erupted in cheers and applause.

Thousands of flags were waving at the same time, adding their discordant national anthems to the noise. The scene was lively.

The huge board in front of the stands was wiped clean of its last message and now showed the score of the two teams BULGARIA: 0, IRELAND: 0.

"All right, all right, and now without further ado, let me introduce to you.... the mascots of the Bulgarian national team!"

The right side of the stands, which was a solid block of scarlet, roared its approval.

"I wonder what they brought," said Mr. Weasley, leaning forward in his seat. "Aaah! Veela!" He suddenly took off his glasses and polished them quickly on his robes.

"What are Veel...?"

No one answered Harry, because a hundred Veelas were gliding across the field as everyone watched them intently.

Veelas were women, the most beautiful women anyone had ever seen.

Their skin glowed with the moon and their white and gold hair fanned out behind them without wind.

Each Veela had an aura of seduction around her, stirring the hearts of all.

Ivan could not find the exact words to describe them, but he felt that every second spent with him witnessing their beauty would be put to no better use.

These glamorous, perfect beauties were like an enhanced version of Fleur, with pairs of large, clear, sparkling eyes, soft, full red lips, and lovely, luscious little noses between their pure, clear cheeks that dazzled the heart even more with the cute dimples in them.

Each of them had a slender and graceful figure, arms of soft jade like the snowy lotus root, graceful round and smooth legs, and soft and delicate hips like those of an athlete. They were truly graceful.

Looking at these lovely Veelas, all the men in the crowd wanted to enter the field.

With the sound of joyful music, Ivan gradually got rid of all the thoughts that plagued his mind, looking forward.

The Veelas began to dance, and his mind went completely blank and he felt extreme joy.

All that mattered in the world was to keep seeing the Veelas, because if they stopped dancing, terrible things would happen....

This was a kind of magic that acted directly on the spirit, and a natural characteristic of the Veelas.

It could be because he had been invaded too many times by the spirit of the evil gods, or because he was too familiar with Gabrielle and had developed immunity, or because he had seen Elaine's beautiful face, or because he liked Hermione to the extreme.... In short, Ivan woke up immediately from his daze.

Occlumency, which he had practiced a lot, naturally played a role, protecting his mind against all external spiritual invasions.

Next to him, Sirius was looking at everyone with a smirk, ready to watch the show.

He was obviously very surprised by Ivan's sudden sobriety.

Hermione and Ginny sat there, somewhat disgruntled; the Veelas' magic had no effect on the girls.

After these Veelas appeared, the boys next to them suddenly seemed to be different people.

Hermione turned her head and looked closely at Ivan, seeing that he was already awake before turning her eyes to Harry and Ron.

Ivan's loss in the beauty of the Veelas was all too short, and thanks to his quick reaction, Hermione didn't notice, but Harry and Ron weren't so lucky.

They both seemed to be floating through the clouds by then.

As the Veelas danced faster and faster, wild thoughts began to wander through their dazed minds.

Although Ivan had recently been teaching Harry Occlumency, it obviously played no part.

Harry felt dizzy and wanted to do something very impressive right now.

Jumping from the box into the stadium seemed like a good idea... But would it be good enough?

"Harry, what the hell are you doing?!" Hermione finally couldn't help but say....

The music stopped and Harry blinked. He was standing and one of his legs was propped up against l wall of the box.

Next to him, Ron was frozen in an attitude that looked like he was about to jump off a trampoline.

Down below, angry shouts were filling the stadium. The crowd didn't want the Veelas to leave.

Harry stared at the Veelas, while Ron smashed the shamrocks on his hat.

Mr. Weasley, smiling slightly, leaned over to Ron and took the hat out of his hands.

"Well, Ron, once Ireland has had its say," said Mr. Weasley, "you'll want it."

"Huh?!" said Ron, looking at the Veelas, who had now lined up along one side of the pitch.

"Oh, what is it with you two?" Hermione made a loud tutting noise.

She reached up and pulled Harry into her seat, very unsatisfied with his reaction.

"I don't know, I just feel a void inside my head!" Harry gasped.

"That's because you and Ron are too weak. Ivan had nothing." Hermione said, "These girls aren't mere humans, they're some kind of magical beings, don't be confused by their appearance."

"But they're really beautiful!" Ron said, "They're the most beautiful girls I've ever seen! I want to be with them forever!"

"If you want to marry a Veela, it's not impossible. Lots of people have done it," Ivan said, "Veelas are very intelligent creatures. They can marry human wizards and have children. Only female children will inherit the Veela bloodline. "

Ivan thought of Fleur and Gabrielle. His grandmother was a Veela.

"That sounds good!" Ron nodded his head blankly.

Looking at him, it's obvious he's considering marrying a Veela.

Although if they weren't human, being so beautiful wouldn't be out of the question.

Veelas are known to originate from a country near Bulgaria. They are a kind of shapeshifting fairies.

They are usually thought by magicians to live in forests, lakes, mountains and clouds. They can change into swans, horses, eagles, snakes or wolves, but they have the most attractive human form.

They can have long, curly, blond and silver hair.

When they turn into humans, they are beautiful young women who dance with the veil in the summer night.

Men who are obsessed with them forget everything in the world, including eating, drinking and sleeping.

If an unfortunate soul were to join a Veela in dancing, he would have to dance until he died of exhaustion.

However, they are generally very friendly to humans, giving treatment for illnesses and predictions for them.

If a Veela meets a satisfactory human male, she might marry him and live happily together.

But Veelas have strong tempers and will not tolerate being cheated. Especially those who do not keep their promises, they will punish them severely.

In spite of this, there are still many wizards who wish to marry Veelas...
