When Phil came to his home, he found his kids – Matt, Nat, and Yelena sitting together in the main room. The house was eerily silent. All three were there sitting and lost in their thoughts.
Phil saw the confused expression on his kids and the hesitance. The kids were tense, and the mood is strange to speak. Phil already knew the reason.
"You need to leave. All of you. Go spend the night at the academy or somewhere. Today, your mother needs her space."
"No, I want to stay with her." Yelena blurted first as usual but today Phil was not asking. He looked at the kids, one by one, glaring at them with a stern expression.
"No. You will not stay here. Your mother threw you out because she does want you to know this side of her. Knowing her past and living her past are two different things. She will have me when she is done but for now, you need to leave."
Phil resolutely denied his kids and sent them away. He knew today Melina was not the gentle woman who stayed with him for so many years. Today, she was the true Black Widow.
No one can understand what she went through except other widows. Not the kids and not even him.
"Martha?" Phil called his trusted AI softly.
"Yes, father?!"
"Disable all cameras and mics inside the basement. You will also not record whatever is happening there. This is priority one. Do you understand Martha?"
"Yes, father. Order received." Martha replied promptly.
"Good. In the meantime, show me the results of the Project HEAL." Phil said to Martha before walking towards his room. Even though he wants to keep himself distracted, his focus was only on the door of the basement.
He could only hope that Melina will find whatever she is looking for down there.
When the 'Alien' attack mission was conducted globally, Melina had her own side mission. It was the complete destruction of the Red Room. Destroy the facility, take over all widows and destroy all the records.
Melina spent her entire childhood and most of her youth inside the Red Room. She hated that place with every fibre of her being. Her experience inside the Red Room had been so traumatic, that she refused to speak about it. She never shared that part of her life with anyone. Not even Phil.
She was kidnapped as a child and then sent to Red Room along with many other similar girls. She was too young to remember her family, but she missed them. As she grew up, she found a new home with these girls.
They studied like normal kids and played together whenever they got the chance. It was still a normal childhood if one can ignore the long hours of listening to propaganda speeches.
When she was finally adjusting to this new reality of her, she was sent to a new location with a few of her sisters. There they taught them hand to hand combat skills and taught them how to use different firearms.
They were taught their life is meant to serve a greater cause. They must be trained to protect their motherland and for that, they must learn how to fight and survive.
Learn human anatomy like a doctor, study medicine like a scientist and fight like a soldier. All necessary skills were provided to her, and she found a new normal for herself. In her whole group, she was always the brightest one.
Then, she turned fourteen and hit puberty. It was then she was sent for new training. They made her fight her own sisters every month. Every month there will be a battle. New injuries and new scars. These battles were the first steps they took in breaking her. Breaking emotions.
The winner of these battles had to kill the defeated opponent with her bare hands. It didn't matter if they were friends or sisters. Nothing mattered. Only winning the battle. Month after month and year after year. Only the winner will get the right to live.
She came close to dying multiple times but survived. Every fight broke her physically and mentally. The last girl she killed was the closest to her. They were practically inseparable. After that, she shut off her emotions. Never allowed herself to feel anything.
This new reality went on until she turned 17. Then came her graduation. The day they cut her up and took her very ability to become a mother. After all, black widows were not supposed to have any physical and spiritual attachments. She never even knew what they did to her until her next phase of training started.
In the next two years, she went through the entire program twice. Apart from that, they taught her new skills. Fighting, seduction, poisoning, interrogation etc. were all taught in daily classes. When she became proficient in these skills, she was then subjected to the final round of training.
'Physical Dissociation', is a fancy word for rape. She was sent on a mission to snatch the secrets from a high ranking official. However, it was an ambush. She was captured very easily, and then physical dissociation started.
Every night. They raped her continuously for the next two years and kept her isolated in that small room. Two years of physical torture.
It was only when she became numb to the pain and torture, that she was one day 'rescued' by her agency. They gave her a graduation gift and awarded her the name Black Widow.
Then she was sent on various missions where she had to kill random targets. People she never knew but she had to kill. Then after a year, she was called again.
She became numb. Numb to killings, to rapes and followed every order like a perfect tool. They managed to break her in every way. Her body, mind, and spirit. Everything was programmed to make her a perfect killing machine.
But she never gave up hope. Hope to escape this place once. Hope to get enough power to come back one day and burn this place to the ground. It was her fortune; she was sent on the mission to America where her life finally changed. There she met the two girls. Natasha and Yelena. They were sent as her daughters, and she knew they were still perfect unlike her.
She tried everything she could to protect the innocence of those two girls and became their 'mother'. It was very hard to live with the man posing as her husband because he was everything that was wrong with her country. But he died and she finally found her freedom.
Months later, she finally found her home. Her family. Her Husband. The things that she could only dream of.
She had given up on revenger. After all, Red Room was a government authorised program. To attack that place meant an attack on the Russian government. And the government will just change Red Room to something else.
After all, these programs were always there. Even before the Second World War. But yesterday she got her chance. The fire of vengeance that had gone cold broke out once again.
The alien attack wiped out the entire Red Room and now, she had rescued many black windows and captured the one behind the whole idea.
General Dreykov. The monster that kept her awake many nights. The monster took great pleasure in breaking her spirit and her body. The monster was now chained to the wall and was squeaking like a pig.
Today, he belonged to her.
She saw Dreykov was already unconscious and grabbed the electric batons from the table.
Turning on the power, she maximised the power and stuck the baton at Dreykov's balls.
"AAAAHHHHHHH!"
