Danger I

Inside the plane…

Zen was currently sitting alone, taking an entire row of seats for himself.

His parents were in the front row, sleeping in each other's embrace with an eye cover covering their eyes.

On the other hand, his little sister was sitting in the row behind him, scrolling on her phone while exclaiming from time to time. He guessed that she was reading some sort of rom-com manga based on her reactions.

It had been a few hours since they took off and they had just eaten lunch.

Looking out of the airplane's window, Zen still felt fascinated by the view outside. There was a sea of clouds which made him think that if heaven was real, this was what it would have looked like.

He remembered the things they talked about when they ate earlier and was in deep thought.

The family was currently sitting on the same row of seats. Due to their past experiences, they had always made it a habit to eat with each other whenever they had the chance. As such, it could be said that their relationship was really close.

In front of each of them was a tray with the food they took from the galley earlier.

"Hey brother!" Sera, who had just eaten a spoonful of rice, called out to her brother.

Zen turned his head to her with a questioning look. Their parents did the same, clearly curious of the reason why their daughter called out to her brother.

After chewing and swallowing the food in her mouth, Sera asked, "You said that you can gain powers from the game and that you have already tested it, right?"

Zen nodded in reply.

"Then can you show me?!" Sera asked, her eyes shining with curiosity.

"Hmm? Why just now?"

"Dummy! I wanted to see it earlier, but mom and dad were busy!"

Hearing this, Ren and Rina also gave curious gazes. They knew that looking for proof was the first thing that they should have done when Zen told them about gaining powers from the game. However, at that time, not to mention their unconditional trust to their children, just Zen's recovery was enough to prove this.

Now that Sera talked about this topic, the couple also became intrigued about the extent of the power their son gained from the game.

Zen shrugged and said, "Sure, but since we are in an airplane, anything too exaggerated is off limits."

Seeing his sister and parents' nod, Zen took a metal spoon from the side and rolled it up with his index finger and thumb with no effort at all. Then, he began to fold it repeatedly until it was just a piece of iron smaller than a penny.

Gasp~

Sera's eyes shined with amazement.

Ren and Rina, on the other hand, looked at each other. Interest and shock filled their eyes.

"Can you show me another one, please! How about you jump off the plane and I'll see if you'll survive?" Sera suggested excitedly.

Zen was speechless.

He looked out the window and thought, 'Although we are around 35,000 feet in the air, it's not impossible. In fact, I'm confident that I won't be injured at all. However, to tell me to jump off the plane with such excitement…'

Just as he was about to reply, Rina interjected from the side with a laugh.

"Sera, don't be too naughty. Your brother is still human too."

"Actually, mom I-"

"It's ok son, take your sister and rest. We're about halfway through our destination. Make use of the remaining time to sleep since we'll be busy once we land." This time, it was Ren who cut in just as Zen was about to speak.

Zen and Sera stood up and left while Ren and Rina took care of the dishes.

Thinking about his little sister's request, Zen couldn't help but chuckle.

"What a naughty girl…"

He looked out the window, still smiling as he enjoyed the view.

Just as Zen was starting to relax, his hair suddenly stood on its ends, while his eyes widened in alarm.

He quickly stood up and looked behind him, he saw that Sera was fine and was still reading on her phone.

Her big brother's strange actions startled Sera.

"Brother?"

Zen paid no heed to his little sister's words as he kept looking around.

"We need to get out of here…" He muttered.

Not knowing what was happening, Sera asked in confusion, "Huh?"

Zen hurriedly reached out his hand and pulled the confused Sera as he walked towards the row of seats where their parents slept.

'I can't be wrong. This is the same feeling teacher always gives me when we are sparring. The only difference is that this feeling is countless times more intense. It's as if I can die at any given moment.' Thought Zen as he hurried over their parents.

Soon enough, they reached the row where their parents were.

"Mom! Dad!" Zen called out.

"Son? What's the problem?" Ren asked in confusion.

Sera, on the other hand, noticed their mother who was trembling slightly, "Mom, are you okay?"

Rina looked up with a smile on her face and said with a weak tone, "I'm fine, I'm just a little uncomfortable."

"Anyways, why are you here?"

"I don't know, brother suddenly pulled me while saying that we have to get out of here." Sera answered Rina's question with a shrug.

Ren turned towards Zen, "Is that true?"

Zen nodded and said, "Yes, dad. I kept feeling that something bad will happen. We need to get out of here!"

Zen's voice became hurried towards the end of his sentence.

Rina interjected from the side and said weakly, "It's the reason I'm feeling uncomfortable too."

Sensing the alarm in his son and wife's voice, Ren said, "Hon, you stay here, I'll go to the cockpit with our children to see the situation."

Rina shook her head, "No, I wanna come with you."

Ren nodded and helped his wife up while they walked towards the cockpit.
