Tournament

Whether it was reaching the Master Proficiency of [Feather Slash], the Perfect Proficiency of [Sword Mastery], or reaching the Adept Proficiency of [Sun Sword Art] in a matter of weeks, all of it were attributed to the [Visual Learner] talent.

In fact, if not for the fact that only Legendary Skills could reach Transcendent Proficiency, Sera would have been a Transcendent a long time ago.

Sera knew how overpowered her talent was.

After all, as long as there was someone to teach her, she could quickly improve. Not to mention the [Mirror Move] skill that came with her talent, which seemed to be even more broken.

After a while of walking, Helena and Sera arrived at a wooden hunt located at a clearing in the forest.

This was where they were currently living while training in the forest. The hunted monsters for food, and look for herbs to be their spices. Overall, they lived a simple and primitive life.

Sera was curious why Helena chose this simple residence despite being a part of the Apollo Familia. She vaguely guessed that her outcast title had something to do with it.

Although curious, she wouldn't take the initiative to ask since it concerns Helena's private matters.

As the two of them entered the wooden hut, Helena spoke, "You have terrifying learning talent and could even fight above your level. However, you must be annoyed because of the low benefits a human gains every level up because it's holding you back, right?"

Sera didn't respond but the look on her face was enough for Helena to guess what she was thinking.

Helena continued, "I have told you about how special the [Sun Bow Art], [Sun Sword Art] and [Moon Shield Art] are, right?"

Sera nodded. Helena had told her about how the arts related to the sun and moon are different from other weapon arts.

The [Sun Bow Art] was created by the founder of the Apollo Familia which was Apollo.

The [Sun Sword Art] was created by Helena herself.

The [Moon Shield Art] was founded by Luna, the founder of Luna Familia.

The reason why the ancestral humans were only able to dedicate the skill to a single kind of weapon was because the sun and moon were on a different league than the 4 basic elements which was the fire, water, wind and earth.

The sun and moon were inherently more powerful than the other elements, that's why it was also harder for the ancestral humans to observe and mimic them.

However, even though the skills of the arts regarding sun and moon could only be used with a specific weapon, they were still equal in power to the weapon arts of the basic elements.

Helena nodded and said, "This is the reason why the Apollo and Luna Familias were awarded with the title of duke. However, if we were dukes, then what about the royal family?"

Sera felt curious. She had been focused on improving her skills and levelling up that she didn't have the time to focus on other matters.

It also made sense since the feeling that this fantasy world made her feel was vastly different than what she felt on the real world.

In the real world, Sera just studied at school. Her routine became repetitive. The only source of joy for her were her family as even her classmates avoided her due to her quiet nature.

As such, in the Free World, where she could become stronger and decapitate monsters, she felt much better. Doing things that was new to her made her feel as if she were a bird that could fly freely.

Now that Helena was introducing the world to her, Sera listened attentively.

"The kingdom where we are now is called the Pendragon Kingdom which was currently being ruled by the Pendragon Familia." Helena introduced the rulers of the kingdom to Sera.

"The Pendragon Familia are a family of human hybrids. To be precise, they are a family of half-dragons."

Hearing this, Sera widened her eyes. After all, who wouldn't admire dragons!? Besides, she was also a fan of the fantasy genre whether they were novels, comics, series, animes or movies. In the fantasy genre, Sera had two things that she loved: swords and dragons!

Helena continued, "I don't know much of the details but I knew that the Pendragon Familia started when a dragon and a human fell in love with each other. Their love bore fruit then their family was created."

"Of course, although the dragons copulates with other races to spread their bloodlines, the matter of marriage was too serious for the prideful dragons. They said that to vent their lust was fine, but to commit and fully live with another inferior race hurt their pride. As such, they were against the marriage of the two. It was at this time that the two experts of the human race, Ancestor Apollo and Luna came in. They helped the patriarch and matriarch of the Pendragon Familia."

"Fortunately, the dragon patriarch of the Pendragon Familia was also the leader of a group of dragons which helped their family grow safely."

"The Apollo, Luna and Pendragon Familia all became allies afterwards. The weapon arts of the humans were powerful. However, it wasn't easy to mass produce elites with it. That was why the three families came to an agreement."

"Every 10 years, as gratitude for helping them, the Pendragon Familia will host a tournament to youths below the age of 20 within the kingdom, meaning that only those who were 19 and below were eligible to participate."

Helena looked at sera and continued, "The top 10 will recieve a hundred gold coins. The 3rd place will receive a Dragon Blood Potion that will give them the chance to become a draconic species. The 2nd place will receive partial dragonification. Finally, the 1st place will receive true dragonification."

Sera's eyes was filled with joy as she asked, "Does this mean…"

Helena nodded and said with a smile, "That's right, you can even become a true dragon if you win the tournament! This would also resolve the problem of gaing stat points every level up and the problem of breaking through the racial limit of humans."

Sera was filled with happiness. She knew that it wouldn't be easy, but just being given the chance to become a dragon was enough for her.

Unable to endure it any longer, she asked, "Master, when will the next tournament be held?"

Helena smiled and answered, "In a months' time."

Sera's face froze.
