THE MISSING PRINCESS
The whole Lanchester palace was in chaos. Everyone were searching for Evelyn. Maximilian was barely controlling himself after knowing his Angel is missing. He is fighting with Aldrich for control. " Human! Let me out! I need my Angel!" With the little bit control Aldrich stopped him. Everyone were scared seeing Aldrich's eyes turning red. The servant who informed about the missing Evelyn was trembling seeing Aldrich. After a long search it was determined that one of the servant has betrayed them and kidnapped Evelyn.
Avery is weeping fearing of the worst for the poor child. Adrian is trying to console her. All the servants were ordered to kneel and the spy happened to be among them. Maximilian with his powers searched for his Angel's scent and asked Aldrich to catch the spy. The spy being exposed attempted to run but failed miserably. Aldrich in his cold voice asked the spy " Where is the princess?" The spy trembling due to the cold voice replied " I..fearing of getting caught sailed the p..princess in the river." The whole palace went cold.
Avery became numb hearing the spy. Brandon kept calling for his sister. Adrian trying to process the situation ordered to search the river. Aldrich let Maximilian out and he killed the spy with no mercy. He roared " Whoever it is! Don't let me find you!" While breathing in anger, he heard the faint crying of Evelyn. Brandon who was beside him heard the crying too. Both Aldrich and Brandon ran towards the faint voice of crying, but it was too late. The baby was no where to be found.
The guards who were sent to search for Evelyn in the river reported while bowing. " By the time we reached there, the voice died down. W..We couldn't find the princess." Brandon and Maximilian came back emotionless. Seeing them everyone understood, they lost baby Evelyn. Avery no longer able to console cried " We failed our promise." Hearing his wife, Adrian's eyes were filled with tears as well. Maximilian gave the control back to Aldrich and locked himself in the grief of his lost Angel. Aldrich was sane, because he knew his Evelyn is alive. If he's alive, it means Evelyn is alive too.
The country had a great loss. The death of Shane Cassiano and the missing of Princess Evelyn. The servants were punished for their carelessness and and the whole palace was ordered a lockdown. The most effected were Brandon and Aldrich. The boys didn't utter a single word since they came back. Avery and Adrian blamed themselves for the loss of Evelyn and kept apologizing to Brandon.
Unknown to them, the actual mastermind who planned this was smirking in victory. While caressing the sleeping baby Evelyn " I'll make sure you don't reach even to the shadow of Aldrich and Maximilian. Only when you're away will they become the beast I want them to be." Slightly pinching the cheeks of Evelyn " I can't kill you, but I won't let you've a carefree childhood. You're the sole reason for them being sane. I'll make you regret being chose by Maximilian." Gave Evelyn to the man bowing down and said while laughing psychotically " Now everything will be in my control." Looked at the man and said " Take her away from here and no one should know about her real identity." The man nodded in fear and was about to leave but was stopped by the mastermind. " Give her these pills till she turns sixteen and then kill her." After taking the pills from the mastermind the man left from there.
