Preparing

March 29th 1920, Frank woke up early today to work out the finer details.

Everything had already been set in motion. Frank left the threatening note to the hooligans 2 days ago, and watched from afar as one of the guys picked it up from his door, read it and called his friends over to tell them about it.

Frank couldn't get too close, but from what he saw, it looked like he didn't have to worry about them not being there.

As for Vito, Frank couldn't afford to risk following him. Vito hadn't been picked up by the police since his arrest 3 years ago and Frank was sure the police were better at following people than he was.

He didn't have to worry about Vito though, Frank paid attention to that alleyway while he was in the nearby bar and he was positive that Vito hadn't stopped by early this month.

While fishing for information, Frank had been a frequent visitor to that bar. He was 6'1 and had a stoic face, which was enough for the guard to not even question if he was of legal age.

He also decided to use this place as his alibi, for both the police and the mafia.

It would be pretty unlikely for the police to look into the age of one of the bar's frequent visitors, especially because no one knew Frank's name.

As for the mafia, if Vito was suspicious of the way things happened and decided to investigate, all he would find was that Frank was walking home from the bar that day, as he did the past 2 months and that everything was a coincidence.

Today was a Saturday, which meant Frank didn't have to skip school to prepare himself.

He spent the whole day thinking about tomorrow and at night he went to the bar to keep his cover up, whilst continuing to think about how things could go wrong.

By the end of the day, the only thing he wasn't prepared for was his gun misfiring.

After returning home from the bar, he tiptoed his way up the stairs and into his room, luckily not waking up his parents, who by now had gotten used to his late nights and trusted he knew what he was doing.

His parents had never really been the controlling type, even when he was young.

Maybe that was how they were or maybe they noticed that he was a calm kid and trusted him more and more as the years went by.

Bill Victorovich, his father, was a good husband to his wife, father to his son, and friend to his very few friends.

Other than that though, he wasn't particularly liked by the neighbors, because he handled issues like loud noise during the night, disrespectful kids and so on, the same way and that was with his fists.

Never anything more than bruises, but the point got across to the people in the neighborhood.

Bill was a man that liked living in his bubble and if disturbed, he would give you a beating to remember, or if you particularly annoyed him, forget.

Being a dock worker wasn't good for much, but it did give Bill a strong body over the years.

Ana Victorovich on the other hand, was a kind woman who took pride in her housework and the company she kept.

Similar to her husband Bill, she also had no time for other people outside the family, which often made Frank question how his father and mother even met each other.

The how's and why's of it all didn't keep him up at night though, because whilst an unlikely meeting that must have been, they certainly belonged with each other.

If Frank ever decided to tell his parents what his plans for the future were, he thought that It wouldn't go over that badly. With time, they would probably accept it.

'Probably' wasn't good enough for Frank however, he had already decided that rather than ask for permission, he would ask for forgiveness after the fact.

Frank changed clothes and went to bed relatively easily.

Any restlessness he might have had he left at the bar, which meant a cold shower would await him after he woke up, but that was a problem for tomorrow.

Drinking wasn't Frank's favorite pastime, especially now that he was close to becoming a mobster. A clear head would help him keep it there.

Tonight was an exception however. He could get his head clear after 24 hours and a cold shower, but he couldn't risk being too restless to sleep and the alcohol certainly helped him with that.

He slept like a baby that night, but got what he deserved when he woke up. His head was killing him and he couldn't get into the shower fast enough.

After an unpleasant 20 minutes, Frank walked out of the bathroom and back into his room. To his surprise, he saw that It was 15:39 o'clock.

With a couple of hours left, he cleaned his M1911 pistol in order to avoid what would be a tragic misfiring and got himself into the right mindset.

Frank had no problems with killing, but this was going to be his first time and he didn't want to have even a millisecond of hesitation when the time to pull the trigger came.

Frank's mother knew him well enough to know that he didn't like being woken up, so she left him a sandwich to eat whenever he did decide to wake up.

After dinner, he put on his black jacket, hid his gun in it and went to the bar.

It was 18:06 when Frank arrived, which was just right. A regular walks out of the bar and goes home after 4 hours, the best cover story Frank could have.

A couple of college girls were in the bar as well, nothing special, but one of them stood out to Frank.

She wasn't the center of attention, nor was she the sexiest. She was a pretty brunette that had a certain calmness to her, as she gave a polite chuckle to her friends from time to time.

After a closer look, she looked like she was rocking a pair of C cups and had a decent ass as well, now these things put together in a college girl did attract Frank's attention.

On second thought, he had seen these girls here before, just not this one.

She was able to capture his attention, however tonight was not the night. He had business to handle tonight, which required all his attention. Besides, Frank couldn't leave a witness aside from Vito alive, regardless of if he or she was interesting.

He did however leave a mental note of this, even if she didn't turn out to be his type after meeting her, she was good for a one nighter.

All he had to do was come back here another time and ask one of her friends for an introduction, Frank was sure he could manage that if he could manage to pull off his plan tonight, which speaking of, is set to begin in 30 minutes.
