RECOGNISING THE BOLDNESS

Jessy watched them enter his office, she was so caught up with the drawing she had no idea when he would return.

She didn't realize that she was staring at him, he looked so handsome from the back. Recollecting herself and what he said she hurried to the staff room and fixed a tray for them knowing he was tired. Knocking at the office door, hearing him say, "Enter."

Jessy opened and walked in with the tray. "Sir, you said you were tired, here eat this until you have your supper."

Seeing him looking at her with a gentle smile he said, "Thank you!"

Jessy nodded and then left them to their work, knowing she had completed her task for the day, she walked out she closed the door behind her.

She notices Miss John looking at her but she ignores her and returns to the staff room. She rested the tray down after rinsing it took up her bag and left.

Sylvia smiled observing the way Lystra was looking at Miss Albert, realizing Miss Albert had ignored Lystra's piercing look. She had a boldness that the other's secretaries didn't possess. They are all afraid of Lystra's dominating behavior, but Miss Albert seems to terrify Listra. "That should put her in her place."

Lystra noticed the smile on Sylvia's face and knew immediately what she was thinking. As anger boiled from within she grunted, "That little witch has the others laughing at me, who does she think she is? I will make her regret she ever came to this department to work."

Time slowly slipped by when was three -o'clock all the secretaries took their shoulder bags and stood up. Ignoring Lystra they head towards the staff room to retrieve their lunch bags.

Lystra looks as they go hoping Brent will be finished soon but time passed by. When she realized it was already four o'clock and he was still in his office she stood up and went and knocked at the door.

Hearing the anger in his tone of voice Lystra tremble from fear. "Why is he so angry, this has only been happening for about two weeks now. he never responded to me like this before though matter how busy or absorbed he was in his business."

When she heard, "Enter!"

She opens the door and asks, "Sir will you be long again? And will you be needing anything else?"

Lystra was stunned when he didn't respond and just waved his hand to her to leave. 'Oh God, what is happening to him?'

Quickly closing the door realizing she had disturbed his discussion, she felt depressed knowing the disappointment in her heart. "I have looked so forward to us leaving together but now it's me alone."

She becomes exasperated as she sits at her desk, and a cold chill rushes down her spine. "In all her years working in this office, I never felt this despised and fearful. When did I become so despicable in his eyes? And who is it that is responsible for that?"
