SUSPICION

Brent realised something was off the way the vehicle was driving so close to the rear end of his New model Bently.

He didn't want anyone to touch his baby or to stop and converse with anyone alone at this hour.

Dipping his foot on the accelerator and sped off wanting to see if it was just a coincidence or if he was being followed and his suspicion was correct.

Heading straight to the company wanting to know if this is a first-time follower or if this person has been tailing him for a while.

Seeing the vehicle chase after him almost to the Larson's building, the van just pulled aside and then reversed.

Brent knew immediately his suspicion was correct, 'This person had tailed him before.'

Seeing the seriousness of the matter he knows that it was a risk he had taken by visiting Jessy.

Thinking about it now, "Lord, I now realize that by visiting Jessy I am putting her life at risk."

Brent knew his stubbornness by not allowing his subordinates to be aware of his whereabouts was a significant risk.

Considering deeply from where they started following him. "Oh Lord did they see me drive out of the apartment, were they watching the apartment?"

As those scary thoughts flash across his mind he feels as though he cannot breathe.

Thoughts of those goons watching the apartment with Jessy all alone put fear in his heart.

"Lord, please listen to my plea, You know why I didn't let those subordinates of mine accompany me? I really don't want them to reveal my secret to Mom and Dad, but now I am worried about her well-being. She is so tired, if anyone attempts to hurt her how will she defend herself? Please, Lord, keep her safe."

Recalling the few attempts in his life before, Brent had to make a fast decision, the safest place at the moment was the Larson building. Brent called the security guard right before he entered the street and asked him to open the gate for him.

Knowing what they did he exchanged a few words with them then made his way inside to the underground carpark then made a few calls.

In his office, Brent stood by the floor-to-ceiling window as his eyes scanned the street while he finished making his calls.

Ten minutes later his phone rang, he looked at the number, seeing it was Johnny he quickly picked up. "Yes, Johnny is all well?"

"Yes, there doesn't seem to be anyone loitering around in the address you gave me."

"Okay, but be on the alert and keep your eyes on the apartment and Johnny this is confidential." "Yes, Boss I understand."

Brent felt the racing in his heart gradually decrease as he slowly took deep breaths. Not long after his phone rang, Looking at the phone Brent saw Greg's name pop up, he picked up, "Yes, what news do you have?"

"Sir, that number is not registered as any of our vehicles. Also from my checking, it is also not a registered number."

Brent listened carefully, he wasn't afraid but he wanted to be careful not to put his parent's lives at risk. With that in mind, he made a call to implement things in place.

Within thirty minutes his phone beeps, looking at the message Brent walks to his private elevator.

Reaching the underground carpark it was already ten-thirty. He then got into his car and drove out

At the entrance, there stood a few men dressed in black tailored suits, alongside them were four black sedans all occupied with drivers.

He signalled them for two cars to drive before him and he followed as the other two followed from behind.

As the CEO, he wouldn't lose his freedom by allowing others to control his life. He loves driving himself, and he can protect himself better than anyone.

At the Larson mansion, he was greeted by Jeffrey who reported on the two new security cameras that had been installed at the main entrance and at the back entrance.

Also, the other two security were positioned at the cabin as a couple just as he instructed.

Pleased with the report, Brent bid Jeffrey good night as he walked up the stairs and headed towards his room.

Jeffrey looked at the four vehicles as they drove away before locking the gate and the front door,
