Prologue

"The first thing that I remember was when I was born. There was a doctor yelling at two young children, as well as a couple of nurses running around frightened. It was a large hospital and there were a lot of tubes sticking into my body. I remember feeling a lot of pain trying to ask for help."

A large bespectacled man stood up from his chair.

"Okay, I think that's enough for today Max. We can have another talk next time I visit," he said leaving the room quickly.

Max snickered quietly.

"That's another therapist gone lol"

Max quietly sauntered back to his bed and laid down. Max had been living in the hospital since he was born. This was because he had a disease called Hell Poison. Although the medical terminology was different, it was too difficult for people to pronounce so many shortened the name and made it easier to say.

This disease had never been seen before and it was extremely painful but not contagious.

The Hell Poison was aptly named because the disease struck at random times and all of the organs in your body go into a shocked state. This makes it so you aren't able to move and it also puts you through painful torture seemingly like Hell.

Max finally got up from his bed and walked outside of his room in search of someone. He looked around finally finding a doctor that was talking to another patient. This was the same doctor that took him in after his two 16-year old parents abandoned him.

"Hey Doc, this is kinda' out of the blue, but why can I remember everything from after I was born?" said Max suddenly appearing behind the doctor.

Doc was startled and guided the patient to a different room. He then turned to look at Max.

"You finally asked huh? I was also surprised that you could do that, it's called having a photographic memory," said Doc.

Max looked at him suspiciously, "So I can remember anything, forever?"

"Yes, although I had my doubts at first, your meetings with your many, many, many, therapists..." Doc looked at him pointedly, "shows that you actually do remember everything"

Max went back to his room even though he was confused about why he had this skill.

'Why did you give me this ability God,' thought Max

An unknown person was walking near the hospital whispering to himself, but for some reason, no one was able to hear it.

"Don't worry child, in some time I will repay you."

The man dissipated into thin air while the civilians around him walked by without noticing.

Max woke up early because he heard some knocks on his door.

"Come in."

Max saw a girl the same age as him walking in with flowers.

"Oops, my bad, I thought that this was my grandma's hospital room."

She turned around and started to walk out.

Max was excited that there was someone new in the hospital around his age because the only people that he had talked to since he was born were Doc and a couple of nurses.

Max blushed and called out to the girl.

"Wait can you stay and talk to me for a bit."

The girl stopped and turned around. She started at him silently for a couple of seconds. She then started to slowly walk closer and closer to Max until they were only centimeters apart. Max turned completely red and closed his eyes.

"Uh, you're a bit too close," said Max shyly.

The girl was surprised by how close they were.

"Oh sorry, I forgot my contacts and my vision is REALLY bad, also I guess I have time to talk to you for a bit since I came a bit earlier than usual today," the girl said energetically.

She smiled and sat down next to him. They chatted for a bit and Max had fun talking with her. They both had similar tastes in movies and books which Max thought was amazing.

"Ah sorry, I need to go now, it's getting late"

Max sighed, "Come visit me again sometime!"

"Of course," she said.

The girl started to walk out the door.

Max realized that he never asked for her name.

"Hey wait, what's your name?"

The girl turned around and you could see the light from the window shining around her like she was an angel that descended on Earth.

Max's eyes were shining and he looked open-mouthed at the girl. The girl blushed and whispered her name.

"Akari Blossom"

Max watched as she glided out of the room looking like a being fairy straight out of a movie.

Max smiled, "It was fun talking to somebody new."
