Chapter 2

-1 Month later-

Max and Akari were walking around now that Max was allowed to leave the hospital. Since Max didn't have a home he was living with Akari's family.

They were walking out of a shop smiling and laughing together when suddenly a truck came speeding at Akari. Akari screamed and covered her face. Time slowed down and Max tried to push her out of the way but he couldn't reach her. Max's face was filled with horror as he realized that she was about to die.

"AKARI NO!"

Right before the truck was about to hit them Max saw a glowing blue circle appear underneath her and she disappeared before the truck hit her.

Max quickly looked trying to find her to see if she was alright. He didn't see any blood so he assumed that she was saved by some unknown entity.

Max looked at the sky wondering what kind of power could have made her disappear.

"I don't know who saved her or how you saved her but thank you."

Max started feeling dizzy and fell to the ground breathing heavily. Some pedestrians saw him and rushed him to the hospital.

Max opened his eyes and saw himself in a familiar room but this time there were multiple doctors and nurses running around.

"Guess I'm back in my hospital room again," Max said sarcastically.

The doctor saw that he was awake and told him that he would he didn't have much time left because his disease had a relapse due to extreme stress and that it was worse than ever before.

Max accepted this and he closed his eyes and started to think about everything that happened in his life. He used to believe that everything in his life was bad except for 2 people, Doc and Akari. But Akari tried to change that and she became his guiding light. But she was gone now.

Max had just flatlined and the doctor had deemed him dead.

-Unknown amount of time later-

Max opened his eyes and found himself standing next to a black hole perfectly fine.

"Ah that's cool I'm standing next to a black hole."

I figure that Max couldn't see was looking at him sympathetically. He knew that Max was starting to lose his mind once again because he was now completely alone.

"Hello, Max."

Max looked around trying to find who said that.

"Hello. Who are you? And where are you?" Max said confusedly.

"I think you know."

Max smiled hysterically, "Know who? or know where?

He laughed crazily at his own joke.

Max stopped laughing as quickly as he started and asked, Wait I know, you're God right?

"That's me, and since you had such a bad life I am planning to transport you to a world of fantasy and magic.

God starts to prepare the spell.

"Wait!"

God stops.

"What is the problem?" God asks.

"My girlfriend Akari disappeared before I died. Do you know where she is?"

God replied, "I do."

Max got excited for the first time in ages.

"Then can you send me to her!" Max exclaimed.

"Yes, but not yet"

Max stopped, "What do you mean?"

"I know where she is, but if I send you there now you would die instantly. The only way for me to send you there is if you get strong enough."

Max put on a determined expression, "I want to get stronger and also find Akari. Can you send me to a world that can help me get stronger quickly?"

God chuckles.

"I see that I made the correct decision by choosing you," said God.

"What do you mean?"

"Well you see, I am the God of Creation. I created everything including life, the multiverse, etc. But I'm bored and I don't have anything else I can do, and I've been waiting to die for a long time. But before I do that, I needed to find my successor."

Max was shocked, "So I'm going to be the successor of God?"

God nodded, "Yes, but not just any God. The God that created everything, including other gods."

"Are you sure that you would hand off everything to me," Max said pointing at himself?

"Yes, because I saw your love and loyalty to people that are close to you and I know that your motto of life is to do what you desire. A God cannot have any regrets or else everything would crumble into oblivion, so you would make the perfect God."

"Ah shucks, you're making me feel embarrassed," said Max sarcastically.

"However, you still need to work your way up and grow until you reach Godhood. Then I will grant you the power of all creation," said God.

Max was annoyed but he was set on his goal of saving Akari.

"Alright, I'll do what you ask," said Max.

"Great, I'll help you out by giving you my blessing"

"What does your blessing help me with," asked Max.

"My blessing gives you the power to understand things faster, have infinite potential, have no impurities in your body, and it also changes your race to a dragon which has many benefits on its own. But you also have to accept me as your father and take my last name."

Max was in shock.

"Wait wait wait. You're telling me I will get all these powers with your blessings."

"Yes, child," answered God.

"Also where did this father business come from? Why do you want to be my dad?" asked a confused Max.

God replied, "it is unfortunate but my powers can only be passed on to one I relate to as family."

"Okay, that's acceptable. And why would one of my powers be becoming a part of the dragon race?

"Dragons are the ultimate lifeform and have achieved the max potential in evolution. Only I have the power to become a dragon because I am the God of Creation and you will inherit that if you take me as your father. But the type of dragon you transform into is entirely dependant on yourself and hidden potential," said God.

"Alright I accept, I will become your son. Now hit me with the power-up beam."

God was beaming, "Since you didn't have a true last name in your life I will grant you my last name. I, the God of Creation, now deem you, Max Pendragon."

'He'll never know that I took a liking to him right when he was born. I couldn't help you out then because that would change the course of history but I can help you now my child.'

God secretly gave him the power to increase his handsomeness and charm every time he increased in power.

'Hehehe, I'm expecting a lot of grandkids from you.'

"Alright, I'm going to use my powers to transform you into a dragon. Prepare yourself," said God seriously.

Max stood in a firm stance while closing his eyes preparing for what was to come.

Bang!!!

Max felt his body going through a torturous pain and felt his brain and mind getting split into pieces. He felt as though this power was breaking him into little shards of glass. However, it wasn't as bad as it could've been. Max's life was full of pain with the Hell Poison disease and helped him at this moment. Max tried to bring his mind back to normal by putting all the pieces of glass back together. He finally succeeded after 2 days through all that pain and suffering.

Suddenly Max felt a loud tremor with immense power coming from inside him.
