Chapter two

Ei groaned as she slowly peeled her eyes open. She seemed to be in room but it was she didn't know how she got there.

Ei heard the muffled voices of three people talking a few feet from the bed, she strained your ears to hear what they were saying.

"How is she doing, doctor?."Ei heard a female voice ask.

"Her fever has gone down and she is doing well."The voice of a older man said.

"But what about her memory loss, Heiy claims she doesn't remember anything!."The first voice asked worriedly.

"It's true! She didn't remember who I was and where we were!."Ei heard the frantic voice of Heiy say.

"Hmm, it seems the young mistress has amnesia." The doctor said thoughtfully." I recommend that she rests and not overwork herself."The doctor said clearing his throat."Ensure she takes her medicine on a daily basis."

"Thank you doctor!."

"I'll walk you out." Heiy said taking his briefcase.

"Amnesia?…nothing's wrong me."Ei mumbled to herself as a young woman seated herself on a chair next to the bed.

"Ei! You're awake!." The woman cried, her brown optics sparkling with joy.

"Who are you?…how do you know my name?."Ei asked softly.

Ei saw the woman's smile drop before she teared up.

"So, it is true…" She mumbled."Ei, it's me…y-your sister, Kana Aryann."Kana said as Ei looked at her curiously.

"I don't have a sister." Ei replied sitting up before holding herr head.

"Yes, you do! Be careful!." Kana said helping Ei lean on a pillow.

"How is she doing?." Issey asked entering the room.

"She doesn't remember who I am!."Kana cried hugging his arm.

"Ei, do you know who I am?."Issey asked softly to which Ei shook her head.

"You see!." Kana cried louder, Ei quickly got off the bed before dashing out the room before they could react, they quickly followed after her calling her name in panic. Ei found herself in a hallway, with servants walking around, they bowed as a sign of respect when they saw Ei.

Ei teared up looking around while breathing heavily, with her mind set on escaping she bolted towards the huge double doors, which lead to a beautiful rose garden, she quickly hid behind a rose bush when she heard the yelling of Issey and Kana grow closer.

Ei huddled in the bush, hugging her knees to her chest while trying to calm your nerves, nervous sweat rolled down your forehead.

"Ei?." Ei heard Issey call softly as he crouched down in front of her.

"Please just leave me alone." Ei whimpered moving away from him, Ei hissed when a thorn pricked her leg.

"You know I can't do that, you're not well." Issey said crouching down in front of you.

"I'm perfectly fine! I don't know what I'm doing here!." Ei butted back.

"I heard from Kana that you lost your memory, it's really scary seeing people you think you've never met before, but as long as I'm here I won't let you feel alone, you are going to get better and everything will return to normal, the only thing is will you let me help you?."Issey calmly stated holding out his hand as Ei felt your nerves calm.

"Am I never going home? I don't know where I am?…I don't know what to do…" Ei thought biting her bottom lip before slowly nodding and placing her hand on his."Y-yes." Ei stuttered as he pulled you up, Ei passed out the second she stood.

The next day

Ei woke up from a dreamless sleep, she slowly glanced around before her eyes landed on Kana who was fast asleep while gripping Ei's hand tightly as if Ei would disappear if she let go.

"Kana." Ei mumbled nudging her gently.

Kana coughed covering her mouth before her eyes landed on you."Ei, are you alright?!." Kana asked holding Ei's face gently, Ei squirmed removing her hand.

"I'm fine." Ei mumbled in reply.

"I hope so! You caused an uproar yesterday!." Kana said chuckling.

"I'm sorry."Ei stuttered folding her hands on her lap.

"It's alright. We all were worried about you."Kana said flattening Ei's bed head.

"We?."

"Me, Issey, Kira, Heiy and mother of course!." Kana ranted.

"S-sorry."

"Stop apologizing,. It was out of your control!."Kana chided as Heiy knocked before entering the room.

"Miss! You're awake!." Heiy cried walking towards Ei.

"Y-yes, I think you said your name was Heiy?." Ei asked as she nodded rapidly.

"Okay! I'll leave her to you Heiy, bring her for breakfast."Kana said walking towards the door before erupting into fits of coughing.

"Are you alright, my lady?!." Heiy asked frantically.

"I-i'm fine! Nothing to worry about!."Kana said waving her off.

"Are you okay?."Ei asked tilting your head.

"O-of course! But you're the that's unwell! Take care of yourself instead of worrying about me!. "Kana said hiding her bloody hand from Ei's view, she left before you could get another word out.

"Come on miss! I have to get you ready for today!." Heiy said helping you out of the bed.

After twenty minutes of pampering Ei was finally ready. She stared stunned at her appearance, from her kimono dress to her rich brown hair that hung in curls, Ei never she could ever be able to look this pretty. .

"Come on miss! We don't want to you to be late for breakfast!." Heiy cried pulling Ei towards the door.

"Hey!."

*Time skip*

Ei stood off to the side nervously, Heiy had brought her to the garden where she said Kana and the princess were waiting.

"Older sister!." Kira squealed latching on Ei. "You look absolutely cute!."

"Um, who are you?." Ei asked nervously.

"Oh, I forget you lost your memory, I'm Kira your sister in-law,"Kira introduced pointing at herself.

"Sister in-law?."Ei asked leaning towards her but Kana interrupted before Kira could answer.

"There you are! Come on hurry up! You haven't eaten in two days!."Kana said sitting Ei on a chair before herself and Kira joined.

"What the-?." You gaped looking at the wide array of food that was laid on the table.

"What is it? Are you not hungry?." Kana asked Ei who shook her head unable to answer.

"Is it not to your liking? I can ask the chefs to prepare something else for you. "Kira said sipping her tea.

"I'm fine! This is fine!."Ei stuttered before stuffing her face.

"Ah! Ei, you have also lost your manners!." Kana cried disapprovingly.

"Leave her, she's still recovering."Kira said.

"Since I don't remember anything, do you two mind telling me who I'm supposed to be?."Ei asked placing your fork down.

"She doesn't even remember who she is! I thought you said her memory loss wasn't serious?!."Kira asked looking at Kana incredulously.

"I'm sorry." Kana sighed before looking at you apologetically."You are Ei Aryann, daughter of the grand Duke of Aldera kingdom and I am Kana Aryann, your older siste. We were sent here because I am betrothed to the first prince and current crown prince, Issey, and you're here because our parents have asked me to look after you and I don't think I'm doing a very good job."Kana said sadly.

"I'm sorry." Ei muttered, suddenly the food didn't look so appetizing anymore.

Kana snapped her head at Ei."Why are you sorry?."

"I was the one that was being irresponsible, I caused you trouble."Ei mumbled glancing at her teacup.

"Okay, we're equally at fault." Kana said sending Ei a soft smile to which you responded.

"Okay!. Kana, older brother, Raga is finally back!." Kira said.

"Really?!."

"Hm! There's a ball being hosted in his honor tomorrow night!."Kira said.

"Well I hope he enjoys it and finally decides to come home."Kana said softly.

"Who's Raga?."
