Chapter six

Ei hummed in content, she had managed to escape the bratty girls who only wanted to close to her because of your affluence. The ball had started several hours ago, but the king and the one who the ball had been hosted in his honor hasn't shown. Ei grunted in when her nose collided with Issey's back.

"Ei, why are you looking around like you're an assassin?,” Issey asked holding a plate of cake.

"I'm going to murder someone who comes up to me and asks me to attend a gala." Ei huffed straightening her dress.

"You would probably be a lousy assassin." Issey chuckled and Ei pouted.

"For your information I have poisoned a rat before," Ei grumbled crossing her arms, Issey huffed in laughter, covering his mouth so as to not attract attention.

"D-don't laugh!."

"Sorry, sorry." Issey wheezed clutching his stomach.

"Hmph!." Ei huffed crossing her arms and turning away from him.

"Okay, look, I'm sorry." Issey apologized waving.

"I'm still mad, offer something to pacify me." Ei muttered glancing at him from the corner of eye.

"Eh?. What are you some kind of deity? That I have to offer something?!" Issey protested to which Ei ignored him.

"I'm waiting…" Ei mumbled indifferently.

"Fine. Do you want my cake?." Issey sighed offering Ei his cake.

"Of course, I'll take this off your hands for you!." Ei cried snatching the plate off his hands, he pouted as Ei stuffed your face. "Hey Issey?." Ei called focusing her doe eyes on him.

"Hm?." Issey hummed in response.

"Where's Prince Raga. Why isn't he at his own ball?." Ei asked curiously.

Issey sighed wistfully. "Raga never liked social gathering like this. He likes his peace and quiet." Issey said.

"Sounds like my kind of person, what's he like?."

"Hm. Closed off, cranky, clean freak, smartass, foul mouthed, and he has a very… umm… colourful vocabulary." Issey deadpanned counting his fingers.

"He sounds amazing…?" Ei trailed off sweatdropping.

"Would you like to dance?." Issey asked when he noticed Ei's discomfort.

"I'd love to. But I have two left feet." Ei said nervously gripping her dress.

"I'm not the best dancer either." Issey laughed holding out his hand.

"O-okay." Ei stuttered placing her hand on on his

"Milady."

*Later*

Ei grinned taking off her heels as on she stepped on the grass. Her dance with Issey had gone horribly and she ended up with bruised feet.

They had to separate because, Kana, passed out from exhaustion and Issey had to escort her to her room.

"That was fun." Ei mused massaging her foot, she sat next to a fountain silently the surface ripple.

"The moon has always been beautiful." Ei murmured bringing her knees to her chest.

"What are you doing here?." A voice asked behind her and she jumped in the water in fright.

"That was amusing." Raga mumbled staring at Ei's soaked form.

"Y-You!." Ei cried pointing at him in shock.

"Do I know you?." Raga asked tilting his head.

"Yes. You were the one who tried to kill me by pushing me off your horse!." Ei yelled pulling her soaked form out of the freezing water.

"So? It's my horse." Raga replied nonchalantly.

"So what! You don't go around pushing everyone off horses, damnit!." Ei yelled standing in front of him. " Say you're sorry!."

"Do you know who I am?." Raga asked leaning towards her.

"No! Should I?!." Ei replied shrinking away while trying to keep up her tough farcàde.

"I am Prince Raga."Raga said and Ei faltered in shock. "Do you still want an apology?."

"My name is Ei Aryann and I still want an apology!." Ei proclaimed.

"You don't know what I can do to you. Do you?." Raga asked pulling out a dagger that reflected in the moonlight.

Ei's eyes widened in fear.

"No, thank you! I think I hear my maid calling me so I'm going to go!." Ei yelled in fear speed walking away.
