Lily’s POV
The car stopped in front of the Romano building. Vincent came out of the car, came to my side and opened the door for me. “Wait for me after work. I will pick you up,” he said.
“Alright, I’ll wait for you,” I replied. “Drive safely.”
I was walking towards the building when I heard someone calling my name. I turned and saw Mary Ann approaching.
“Good morning,” she greeted.
“Good morning, Mary Ann,” I replied.
“Let’s go in together.”
“Sure,” I said with a smile.
“I saw you get out of the car,” she said as we went into the elevator. “Is that your husband?”
“Yes, he dropped me off on his way to work,” I replied.
“Good luck on your first day of work.” Mary Ann smiled at me.
“Thank you,” I smiled back. “I’ll do my best to meet your expectations.”
“You’re welcome. If you want to ask something or to know anything about work, don’t be shy, don’t hesitate to approach me,” she said in a soft voice.
