SPECIAL PERSON

Adrian’s POV

“Sir, are you sure it’s okay with you?” she asked hesitantly.

I looked at her and smiled. “You don’t have to worry, I’m fine with it.”

“Thank you, sir,” she said shyly.

“You really love to eat in a fast-food chain, don’t you?” I asked, glancing at her as I drove the car.

“Yes, very much,” she said and smiled. “I usually ate at a popular food chain with my old friend, my parents always bought a takeaway fried chicken for me and I always shared it with him.”

“Really?” I asked. “Is that a special friend of yours?”

“Yes sir,” she replied. “He’s special to me because he has a unique space in my heart.”

“And where is your friend now?” I gazed at her, hoping that she would see it in my eyes.

“I don’t know…” she said, her voice changing. “I don’t have any idea where he is,” she replied with a brittle voice, and she lowered her head and looked at her bracelet.
