Lily’s POV
“Are you not going to have lunch? Didn’t I tell you to take a half-day and go home? Are you not going to listen to what I’ve told you to do, is this how you are? Stubborn?”
I looked up and was startled to see Adrian in front of my desk. I stood up and greeted him. “I was about to have a lunch after these—”
“Is that really important for you?” he cut off and glared at me.
“Yes sir—I mean, no sir—” I shook my head and heaved a sigh. I was baffled by what I was going to say to him.
I glanced at him and saw him grinning, but when our eyes met, it quickly vanished and was replaced once again by his dim expression. “Take your bag and come with me…”
In a panic, I just grabbed my bag and followed him. I didn’t even check what I was doing. So when we were about to hail the elevator, I halted and gasped. Adrian looked at me with a frown.
“What’s the problem?” he asked.
“Sir…” I hesitated. “I forgot to turn off my computer.”
