When the maid stood up, I thought of getting her as our maid in the house since she was looking for another job in the Philippines as long as it’s near to her mom. Sonia is the best choice. She had the experience and had been trained in housework here abroad and has a background. I’ll see what Adrian will say later when I tell him Sonia’s problem. 


I went upstairs to look for Adrian. I passed by his room and thought of knocking. After a few arguments with myself, I decided to knock, but I noticed that the room was ajar. Adrian was talking on the phone in his room. I knocked on the door to get his attention. 


He turned around and smiled at me. In just a few minutes, he cut off the conversation on the phone. “How is it? Did she talk to you?” 


I nodded and told him everything that Sonia told me. 


“What is your decision?” he asked, which startled me. 


“Whatever is your decision, I’ll go for it,” he said, which surprised me even more.
