I felt bitterness when I heard a woman’s voice near Adrian. I knew that the woman kissed him because I listened to the sound of it. 


“Mommy, are you okay?” I came to my senses when I heard my daughter talking 


“I’m okay, princess,” I said. “What happened to daddy? I want to talk to him.” 


“I’m sorry, princess. There was a sudden visitor that he needed to entertain, but don’t worry, tomorrow we'll call him again, okay, princess?” I touched my daughter’s face. 


“My father was in the house with our stepmother, and also the nanny was with the kids,” Diane said.

“Yes, so I can start to work, and someone will take care of them when I’m not around,” she said. “Mom and dad are getting old. They can’t stay with the kids all day long.”
