“Good morning, Lily,” I greeted her as soon as she got in the car. It seemed that she'd been waiting for me for a while. 


“Did you have your breakfast?” I asked and glanced at her. 


She nodded. “Yes, I’m done. How about you?” 


“Not yet. Do you mind joining me?” I stopped the car on the side of the road. 


Lily turned her head to me. “What do you want for breakfast?” 


“You,” I answered, and I could see that Lily was shocked. “I mean, you? What do you want to eat?” 


“I-I ate my breakfast,” she stuttered. 


I smiled. “Hmm, what can you suggest?” 


“Have you even had some coffee yet?” 


“Honestly, I hadn’t eaten or drank anything since when I woke up this morning,” I said and looked at her.
