Taking on an Army

They had finally arrived. "An arena?" Kenji was confused. It looked like an average stadium for a boxing match or tournament. He looked around. Through the gates on the other side of the massive field, tons of demons started to file in. Kenji drew his sword. Kushibo drew his as well. That's when they noticed the leader of the demons step out. He was distinct. He was tall, muscular, he wore a top hat, a black suit, and long, black pants. The rest of the demons were shirtless and had kimonos wrapped around their waists. There were a few special ones. Giants, demons that most likely had special abilities, demons that used weapons, anything imaginable. Toshi walked past the two boys. He and the leader of the demons, Akuma, looked at each other in the eyes. "Alright, Toshi. Let's see who wins this time." Toshi chuckled. "Your lazy disciples were quite powerful," Akuma said, smiling. "Last time, they almost beheaded me. Just thinking about it makes me quite jealous. Either way, this time will be different. Let's see who you trained to beat me and my race this time, Toshi!" Toshi simply smiled and turned. He walked down the stairs behind Kenji and Kushibo and sat in the grass. Akuma crouched. "I want to see the whole thing," Akuma muttered. Kenji wanted to save his stamina, so he let out only a little energy. Kenji and Kushibo decided beforehand that Kushibo would charge in first to lessen the army number. Demons started to surround Kushibo. He lifted his sword up, and in a second, the demons were on the floor. Kenji drew a circle over a group of demons that blew them all up. Kushibo kicked one demon in the stomach and threw him into the the crowd of demons like a bowling ball and bowling pins. Kushibo also learned a skill. He crouched and tapped the ground. He then looked up at the demons. A lot of them were launched back a long distance and damaged from the attack, but they were durable. They ran right to him. Kushibo laughed. He leapt behind the demons and cut them up. He then touched the ground and launched them to Kenji. Kenji drew a circle once again, and it launched the demons far into the air. While they were up there, Kushibo leapt into the air. He diced them into small bits. The demons kept coming. Suddenly, a giant demon stomped toward them slowly. While Kenji was powering up, Kushibo was lessening the army's numbers and damaging the giant demon. He was massive. He was a giant blob with with an ugly face, body, and existence. At least, that's what Kenji and Kushibo thought. Kenji finally became the devil once more. He slaughtered most of the army alone. The giant demon kicked him in the gut and threw him out of the arena. Kenji rolled across the ground, bleeding and pained. The giant demon grabbed Kushibo and dragged him around. He moved even slower than he was moving before. Kenji stood up and launched himself toward the demon. He drew a circle around the whole arena. It launched back Toshi, Kushibo, and Akuma. The demon army was lessening. There were only hundreds now. Kenji killed a few more, making sure he avoided the giant. Kushibo was climbing back into the arena. Akuma and Toshi were settling back into their chairs. Kenji sped past the giant demon once more. While doing that, he drew 3 circles around the giant. Kushibo held his sword high. He drove it into the ground and split it apart. The giant blew up and finally landed in the hole. After Kushibo put the ground back together, Kenji started to deal with the rest of the army. After an hour, the whole army had been eradicated. Kenji and Kushibo were exhausted. That's when they noticed taller and more matured demons walking onto the stage. "These ones must have special abilities," Kenji said. "Don't let your guard down."

The first demon walked up to them. A lanky, shirtless demon with a chain around his neck and a large, golden belt around his waist with differently colored buttons, all being a shade of orange. The demon lifted his hand up. He pressed the first button. Suddenly, Kenji and Kushibo were launched out of the arena. The demon laughed. His voice was rough. "My name is Akuyaku. First, I will be your opponent."
