In a world where Cultivators, Demons, and Inhumans prowl, Li Tao Cai was born as a normal human to the Li Family of Kinman, a wealthy but small city on the border of a powerful empire. The Li Family had long been famed in the region for producing many great warriors and generals, serving the Shi Family, the Martial Clan which ruled Kinman and the surrounding region for 200 miles, as protectors and loyal servants. Despite their fame, however, a cultivator had never been born their bloodline.

The fate of not only Li Tao Cai, but the whole Li Family would be changed as his 10th birthday drew near. On what was meant to be a normal hunt with his father, his fate and destiny would be forever changed, and a new cultivator would be born.
