Study

After school, I went straight to Rianne's class because this girl needed to tell me what I should do. Nah, just kidding. I just need her to tell me which girl is it that intends to give me that note because obviously I need to make it clear.

"Charles is here."

"Why is he here? Is he going to harass Rianne again?"

"Did he regain his memories? Lol."

I went to Rianne and she raised her brow.

"What?"

"I don't think the girl intended to give me the letter. It was a mess."

"Ah. Then, my plan to help her was useless."

"It does. And if she did confess, I don't want to accept it."

Her face says it all. She was clenching her fist. 'So it was real? When he said he was no longer interested in dating, did he really mean it? She was so kind…I thought I could help her…' People start leaving when they see that nothing happens.

"Hey. Could you reject her nicely."

"Sounds like you made a new friend."

"Well…she did help me yesterday. That's why I try to help her as well."

I wonder what kind of help she offers for you to be kind to her. Uh…I will try to reject her nicely. It is my first time rejecting people after all. I saw Rianne look behind and both of us are looking at a rather lonely girl who's studying despite the class already ended.

The way she focused on her work makes her look so…mature like a university student. And the fact she was alone makes both of us want to sit next to her. Scratch that, I think if I sit with her, she may lose the peaceful surroundings she had right now.

What makes me foolishly think like that?

She looks peaceful studying alone like that.

As someone who values peace, I don't like disturbing others' peaceful life.

"Her name is Eliana."

"Okay."

"Don't go to her and reject her. She will find out I leaked her letter to you."

"I will wait for her then. You lead her to me."

I went to grab my bag at class and saw Sean studying? Child, what are you doing here? You're supposed to go home. Did he stay here without informing the driver? I am afraid the poor driver gets left outside for too long.

"Sean. Why didn't you go home?"

"I think studying in class is more efficient so I call the driver to inform that I will go back with you a bit late."

"I might as well study a little. I am surprised James is not studying with you."

Looks like he remembers something funny because he laughs out of nowhere. What is it? I'm kinda scared when people laugh randomly these days. It's like they are planning something.

"He accompanied Franz to walk back because Franz keeps looking for you to walk back with him. James said he should go with him before the guy bothers you."

I see. He's still thinking about those ghosts. He should be fine. After all, in the original story, the ghost never hurts him despite him being able to see them. Since he's a human who cannot be touched.

Still, I pity him.

"You said you wanted to study as well. Can we study English together?"

"Wow, right. English is a piece of cake for me only."

Sean looks like he wanted to pull my hair. If only they knew we are in a story that makes us look like we're speaking English.

"She was planning or she is planning."

"Dunno. It depends. What is the full sentence?"

"Well. She _____ planning to go to the cinema."

"I don't know to be honest."

"YOU JUST SAID IT WAS A PIECE OF CAKE!"

Okay, done with joking, I started teaching him seriously. After English, we study physics and maths. We ended our lesson at 4 pm. The driver was worried when we called him late.

"Welcome back, Mister Charles and Mister Sean."

"You two are late today." Our mother asked as she put down her tea cup.

"Studying for the exam." I said and signed Sean to sit down.

Helena poured a cup of tea for both of us and we finally settled down. Studying is so tiring, I swear I will sleep early today. Mother decides to turn on the television and it shows us an ad for her old drama series.

"It seems like they decide to air this drama again."

"I like the popular action movies. I saw it once when I was in the orphanage." Sean claimed happily which made my mother smile.

I forgot he's not my biological brother and was adopted.

"You two should rest. Go take a shower and fill your stomach with some food."

"Yes mother." We finish our tea and head straight to our room.

After studying today, I can see Sean understand it quite faster than I did in my previous life. The bio didn't lie. He does have the ability to understand faster than other people. I am afraid he will take first place.

Just kidding. I am not afraid.

I hope I get decent marks.

It did bring back memories.

I used to rank 10 or lower in class and rank under 50 for the overall ranking. I wonder how badly I will do this time. Right. I wonder how the previous Charles did in his exam. He must be smart based on his notes that I have read. Besides, the fact he is the only one who scored 40 in chemistry is something that can show how smart he is compared to the other characters.

I went to the study table and looked at Charles' papers.

"He's smart, in my opinion."

As someone who always fails at least three subjects, I envy him for not failing anything. He balanced his bullying and studying and I could never do that. I really want to be him but when I think back, being a person who has decent marks is better.

People don't have expectations when you're low or decent.

I feel sorry for this guy, some people must've bothered him with his good grades. This guy is talented in language subjects too. Haih, to be talented…

"I wonder why I was able to transmigrate into this guy. What happened to his soul?"

I keep the paper and finally do my after school routine.
