STAN'S PROPOSAL POEM

I consider myself fortunate to have met you,

For there is no one I'd want to be with apart from you.

Through fateship we've bonded, the best gift received,

When I realized you've been mine, I found it hard to believe.

Without you, I'm nobody, without you, my days go by in despair,

With you, I'm somebody, with no tears or a heart needing repair.

I wish to be beside you for all eternity,

Expressing my affection to you wholeheartedly.

On your face not a frown shall form,

Even as we turn grey and become fully grown.

No adversaries shall we face together,

Only happiness and love meant to last forever.

I choose to celebrate you everyday,

A long life living together for this I pray.

Before I met you, true love was a thing so extinct,

But only upon our fateship, did you confirm it still exists.

I used to wonder how many days I shall continue fooling myself,

Thinking fateship a fairytale or a mare play by itself.

But the truth was staring right at my face,I was already yours, still running a loosing race.

Even if we were not fated, I'd still choose to be yours,If you rejected me, I'd cry until all of me pours.

Today I profess my endless love for you,Fully committing to fulfil it through and through.

Within you lies my strength from our fateship,The trust and love we share sealing our relationship.

Therefore, never say never to love again,For I intend to show you pleasure and not a single pain, your feelings for me never going in vain.

With this ring, which I offer you freely,A confirmation that I've become yours completely.

Please be mine and marry meAnd grant me a world were it's you and me.
