Duel for National Awakening

"Alright, I'll accept that! However, I'm just asking that during that fight, I'll use the equipment that you guys have picked up!"

"How's dad? Do you agree with this?"

Everyone is waiting for Ariesta's decision. That old man looked so worried about his son's words.

Ariesta stood up and said, "Alright, I agree with what Prince Aleister said! The fight will take place in four hours, spread this word to all the people!"

The soldiers right away moved in accordance with Ariesta's wishes.

Arzlan certainly likes this, Aleister's challenge is a pleasure for him. He wanted to see what kind of strength that young man had.

All the elves gathered in the coliseum, all present even from the commoners came to see the fight that was about to be held. News of the fight was so fast it seemed as if it had wings to reach the ears.

What people heard was the crown prince's fight against the humans who had infiltrated the palace. This was all Aleister's plan to promote himself as a knight who would become king.

Four hours had passed, everyone gathered in the colliseum, their cheers ringing so loud in the ears.

"What is Master Arzlan doing?" Alisha would certainly be worried, it wasn't Arzlan she was worried, but all the elves present would see the true horror. Alisha can only hope that Arzlan will not overdo his actions.

Arzlan was in a special cage, a guard had opened the prison door and took him out. The chains on his legs and hands were still tied, his eyes caught sight of the two guards standing near the passage.

When approaching the guard had given Arzlan's sword and armor, then Arzlan was led to the top of the arena.

The villagers despised him, especially now that Arzlan came with a chain held by the soldiers. If Arzlan had wanted, the chain in his hand would have been able to be destroyed by him.

Everyone then cheered loudly, a knight the pride of all the elves had arrived. Clad in armor that had a beautiful gleam of light he attracted all the attention, those who were looking at his were smiling happily. Every prayer they continue to say from the mouth and in the heart.

"You will regret having accepted this challenge human!" Aleister flashed a cold smile filled with high confidence.

Ariesta nodded to the match referee.

"Alright, now it's a special event from the King Ariesta! He wanted a match between the crown prince named Prince Aleister against the intruders from the human race! All the pride of the race is at stake in this battle, we hope no one plays any cheating because this is a holy match witnessed by the mighty gods!"

Painful words began to mumble from the audience's mouth, they were sure that Arzlan would cheat to win the fight. They continue to give intimidating looks to prove that it's useless to fight, everyone has admitted that the human race is the worst creature that has ever existed.

"Let's get started!"

A red flag is raised to indicate that the fight has started.

Arzlan was not released from the chains that bound him, it was very clear that the elves wanted their nation to win even though everything seemed unfair. It didn't matter, to Arzlan the chain was nothing more than a piece of fragile rope.

Everyone was suddenly surprised to see Arzlan release the chain, the sound of the chain ringing in everyone's ears.

Everyone didn't understand why Arzlan's appearance seemed to be shrouded in heavenly light, glistening his body and making everyone shiver.

"Uh..." Ariesta glared in shock at what had happened.

Aleister lowered his head slightly, creating increasingly pointed eyebrows.

"You show off!"

It was quiet, no cheers could be heard, but they both had to focus. Even Arzlan himself did not hear the words of every villager.

"Quick Timing!"

The resistance started from Aleister who shot towards Arzlan's side. The sound of the sword whistling very precisely could be avoided by Arzlan, it was time for Arzlan to counterattack.

The sword slashed at the same speed as a flying fly.

Arzlan must be surprised, he didn't manage to hit Aleister's body. It was as if everything was predictable, before the blade came forward Aleister had drifted away.

Arzlan felt a strangeness from Aleister's body.

"Hehe… how, now you won't be able to beat me, I've prepared everything. I will not let you win in this duel!"

Whoosh!!!

He disappeared from everyone's sight, within seconds appearing behind Arzlan's body.

"Got you!"

His sword flew at high speed, he couldn't wait to see Arzlan's head cut off by his sword.

Arzlan casually let out a breath, all surprised because Arzlan turned his body so fast.

Things!!!

Aleister was surprised by that, his body was thrown quite far.

"How did this bastard dodge my attack?"

It's time for Arzlan to counterattack, speeding at his shadow speed towards Aleister.

Aleister had anticipated by pushing his body backwards, the sword nearly hit him and even a strand of his hair was cut off.

"Uh!"

It was too soon for Aleister to feel relieved, in a matter of seconds Arzlan was behind him. He wouldn't have had time to turn around, the speed of his body had brought him back.

Crash!!!

Aleister's first slash was received, almost knocking that man forward. He quickly returned to stand up not wanting Arzlan to continue attacking.

"Damn, how could he attack me?" The armor that Aleister is wearing has been coated with special magic, he will be easier to move and every damage hit by the armor will only deal 20% damage, but it's an attack reserved for low level opponents.

Could say now Arzlan already has a higher level than the armor level, not only that the ability of Arzlan has also increased all kinds of attacks. If Aleister wanted to survive he had to use even better equipment.

Everyone cheers for Aleister not to lose against Arzlan.

"It's so noisy people here! Can't they see what, I'm in concentration, if I keep listening to them the focus I have will be lost!"

Arzlan put on a stance, body slightly bent with a sword that was level with his face. "Shadow Slash!"

A hurricane of dark energy that curved into a scythe shot out and accelerated at such high speed, Aleister couldn't possibly hold it in. The man made a move to avoid it. Coliseum walls have fallen victim to it, luckily no one fell from their seats.

Everyone was silent, they began to realize that Arzlan was not an ordinary person. The man's horror was backed up by the immense energy emanating from within his body.

"Is he a monster?" Aleister muttered.

"Alright, let's get serious!"
