Chapter 6

"What is the status of everyone that is here?" said Gram as he looked around the second floor.

"Everyone is done except for us, sir," said Cyprus as she looked around the corridor. "Oh, what brings you down to the second floor?"

"We were just about to continue down to the third floor when we saw you," I said, looking around at the carnage.

"What happened here? It looks like there was an enormous battle with something," said Scáthach, also looking around.

"What does it look like? We are the only adventurers left standing," said Cyprus.

"Oh, want some help then?" I asked.

"Yes, that will be great if you can help us. Right Gram," said Cyprus, looking up at Gram.

"Yes, that will be great. Even though I don't want to, it is fine with me," said Gram, looking at the group that comprised Scáthach, Cipher, and me.

"OK everyone, less talking and more fighting," Yelled Cyprus, swinging a sword at a golem.

"Right, Cyprus let's get this started," said Gram.

"We are right behind and following your lead on this one," said Scáthach, looking around the area.

"All right then, let's get to work then. Everyone attacks right now," said Gram.

Shaking her head, "We already did that, Gram. You don't need to say that at all," said Cyprus.

"Oh, right, sorry about that," said Gram.

"Please, keep on fighting and then we can get to the lower floors," I said, shooting an arrow at a golem.

"True, let's get through this then," said Cipher, swinging her spear at two golems.

"How do you know that we have to get through these golems?" said Scáthach .

"At the moment. I know we need to get through these golems," said Cipher, stabbing at one golem.

One hour later.

"They're the last of the golems down," I said, shooting the last of the golems. (sighing) "That was a close one. What do you think?"

"We will collect the materials for the golems?" I asked.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's get through the material," said Scáthach as she collected the sapphire ores.

"We will get moving. We don't know what is on the lower floors," said Cipher.

"That is true. That said, it's not safe here. What are you going to do, Gram?" I asked.

"Since our group is injured, and we are the only ones that are not injured in our group," said Gram as he grabbed two of his party members.

"OK, see you later," said Cipher.

Grams's group left the vault.

"So now that they left the vault what do we do, right now?" I asked, turning and continuing to walk down the corridor.

"Yes, we will get a move on," said Scáthach.

"I wonder what monsters you think we will find on the third floor? Also, does anyone know how deep the vault is?" asked Cipher as she continued to walk with the group.

"Unsure what monsters we will see down on the third floor? I think there are ten floors in this vault," I said.

"How do you know how many levels are there in this vault?" I asked, looking at Cipher.

"Were you looking at the map that was behind Max as he talked?" asked Cipher.

"Yes, there was a map behind him," I said as I thought. "Ahh, yes there was a map behind him. That said, how do you know what number of floors was on that map?"

"I use my eyes," said Cipher, shaking her back and forth.

"Oh, I see. Well then, what are we waiting for? For, let's get a move on then," said Scáthach as she walked down the left corridor.

"Are you sure that is the right way to go?" asked Cipher.

"Yes, why do you ask?" asked Scáthach as she took one step and the floor crumbled away.

"Scáthach watch out. You are about to fall," I said as I reached out my hand to grab her hand.

"Thanks for grabbing me. Who knows what would have happened if you didn't grab my hand when you did," said Scáthach as she got off the ground. "What is the plan now that we are here?"

"Please, keep on moving, and don't look back," said Cipher.

"Understood then what are we waiting for?" asked Scáthach as she walked quicker and quicker. Till she was running.

"Wait up, Scáthach. We don't know what is on the lower floors. Look what happened to Gram's party," I said.

"What! I can't hear from you at all. "What are you saying?" asked Scáthach, looking back from the stairs to the third floor.

"We need to go as a group," I said, heading over to Scáthach.

"OK, I will wait for you two to get over to the stairs," said Scáthach.

"OK, both of us are here. Let's get a move on then," said Cipher, scrambling down the stairs to the third floor.

Unlike the first and second floors, where the stonework was impeccable, the third-floor stones chipped away in some places.

"Is it just me, or does it seem to you that the walls of these vaults are not doing so well?" I said, looking at the walls.

"I wonder what kind of monster room this floor is?" asked Scáthach, looking around the floor.

"There is only one way to find out what monsters there are in here," I said, looking around the room.

"Ahh!!!"

"What was that noise?" asked Cipher as she looked around the room.

"Looks like there is something or someone by the far wall," said Scáthach as she ran toward the scream.

"Scáthach, what did we say? We need to stay together," I said, looking toward the monsters. "Great, she already ran off,"

"Do you want to go after her, so that she doesn't face off against the monsters alone?" asked Cipher as she ran towards the battle.

"Yes, that would be a radical idea, so that she doesn't do that," I said as I saw Scáthach's body.

"Scáthach, are you OK?" asked Cipher as she ran over to her.

Groaning on the ground, "That hurt like hell," said Scáthach as they got up from the ground.

"Both of us know you are strong and that you will take it easy," said Cipher.

"OK, then I will follow what you told me," said Scáthach, looking around. "I will rest for a little. Then I will help more."

"Cipher, let's move on and get this done," I said. Turning around and running back to the fight.

"Following you, Wren. What is the plan?" Asked Cipher.

"The plan is there. You go from the right and I will go from the left and then we attack the monster," I said, looking at the monster.

"Do you know what a monster that is?" asked Cipher, looking at the monster.

"No, I don't know what that monster is, not in the book of monsters that we read in the adventures academy," I said.

"Well, that's great. Then we are going to attack the monster then?" asked Cipher looking around.

"Yes, conference the plan of attack," I said, drawing my bow.

"OK, see you on the other side," said Cipher as she charged.

The monster had a long, black, scaly tail, and sharp claws.

"Do you think you can see the face of the monster?" I asked, shooting an arrow at the monster.

"Not really well at the position that I am in at the moment. To see the face," said Cipher.

"I see well for the moment. Let's not worry about that till the monster is dead," I said, shooting another arrow into the monster and failing to get a hit in.

"Well, clearly what we are doing is not working at the moment. Also, the monster doesn't seem to look at us at all," said Cipher, making her way back.

"That is true. I don't know what we can do to get this monster killed," I said, backing away from the monster.

"Also, the monster is blocking the way down to the fourth floor," said Cipher.

"That is true. We need to get past the monster," I said, looking around the room.

"Hey, your two I am back," said Scáthach looking at the monster. "Wow, that is a gigantic monster. Could you tell me why is it black?"

"Then what is the plan?" asked Cipher looking at the group.

"Does anyone here have a skill that can help in this situation?" I asked, also looking at the two.

"Let me think for a second," said Scáthach, looking down at the ground. "I got nothing that I have skills for that could defeat that monster,"

"Same here. I don't have any skills that can defeat that monster at all," said Cipher, shaking her head.

"OK, can you guard me? Will I look at my skills?" I asked, looking at the other two.

"We can do that, but it doesn't take too long," said Scáthach, looking at Cipher nodding around.

"OK, I will be over there," I said, pointing at the right wall. "OK, I will put my back against this wall,

"OK then, be careful then," said Cipher, running toward the monster.

"You too as well be careful," said Scáthach, drawing her swords and charging the monster.

"OK, then I will leave it to you for a bit," I said, sitting cross legged, closing my eyes.

"Oh, it's you that brings you back to the realm of the gods?" Sho looked around. I made the room that we were in of azure blue.

"Was wondering if they will stop a monster that has a black tail and sharp claws?" I asked, looking directly at the Sea goddess that was my mother.

"May I ask if you say a black monster?" asked Sho looking scared.

"Could you tell me why is a god looking scared?" I asked, tilting my head to the right side.

"There used to be two more gods sitting at the table. The first one is Axor Goddesses of rebirth. The next god was the successful God of Creation. They toyed with the natural order of things. Greath will create monsters and destroy them. Then Axor will use her rebirthing ability to give the monsters special traits. The rest of us got wind of what they were doing and banished them from the underworld," said Sho.

"OK, but I don't know where the black monsters fit into all of this?" I asked.

"I am getting to that," said Sho, closing her eyes. "In doing so, they created the demon king and the demon king created what you are facing right now in the vault," said Sho.

"OK, is there a way to destroy the beast?" I asked.

"Yes, the hero's weapons will do fine," said Sho.

"OK, but I don't think I am that hero?" I said.

"Yes, you are, since you are a godling," said Drycor, appearing out of nowhere.

"OK, and how do you know that?" I asked.

"Because the hero that defeated them in the first place was you as a human. Well, three hundred years ago," said Drycor.

"That makes little sense at all," I said, getting up from the ground. "Could you tell me why was I the hero?"

"Well, it was not like you were the person who was named Arc Zo. In an event that merged a lot of worlds into one, he died," said Drycor.

"Then we were reborn here as the first son of the Sirn family," said Sho.

"He fought against the fallen gods and got killed in the battle. That said, not before he sealed the two gods away in a vault," said Drycor.

"Am I a reincarnation of that person?" I asked.

"No, you are not, but Scáthach is," said Sho.

"Then why can I come with the gods directly, but she can't?" I said.

"That is a valid question, one that we can't answer at the moment," said Sho, looking around. "Look at the time, you need to leave right now,"

"Wren, did you think of anything that could defeat this monster?" asked Scáthach.

"The only information I got was that these monsters were around three hundred years ago," I said, getting up from the wall.

"Could you tell me why appear now?" asked Cipher.

"Partly two gods made them, and they got cast out," I said, moving around the monster. "Oh, I see something,"

"What do you see? Do you see an opening to attack the monster?" asked Scáthach.

"Yes, I see an opening. Up at the neck of the monster," I said, aiming an arrow at the monster's neck. The arrow sailed through the air, hitting the monster right in the neck. The monster fell to the ground. (Sighing)

"That was difficult to do at all,"

"How did you know that was the weak spot?" asked Cipher, looking at Wren with a confused look on her face.

"Don't tell me you thought of that."

"The thing is, I can't tell you since I don't know what you will do," I said.

"What do you think you are baffling?" asked Scáthach as she walked to the body of the monster.

"I will tell you to give me a bit of time," I said as I thought. (What do the fallen gods want with this world? To destroy it?)

"What do you think Wren is thinking about? Since right now, he doesn't want to tell us," said Cipher.

"I don't know, but we see what he's thinking after a bit of time," said Scáthach, looking at Wren with a curious look on her face.

"What are you talking about?" I asked the two of them to walk over.

"Oh, not much, wondering when you will tell us how you know how to do that," said Scáthach, pointing to the dead monster.

"OK, I owe you an apology then," I said, looking at both Cipher and Scáthach.

"OK, we will listen, but not here," said Cipher, looking straight ahead to the stairs that lead down to the third floor.

"So, what are we waiting for? Let's get a move on," said Scáthach.

"True, then let's move on," I said.

We moved down the stairs and went through the third floor. Killing the monster as we went. Floor after floor till we got to the ninth floor.

"Are we still in the vault?" asked Scáthach, looking around. The wall pulsated like something was alive.

"Also, what was that monster we fought on the third floor? You still need to answer that," said Cipher, looking at Wren.

"I talked to Sho and Drycor about what the monsters are," I said, looking at Scáthach and Cipher.

Scáthach and Cipher both looked at me with a bewildered look on their faces.

Laughing to myself. "What are you looking at me like?" I asked the two.

"Wren, it's not normal to talk directly to the gods at all. That said, this is still not the place to talk about this at all," said Cipher.

"Then we need to take the sword with us," said Scáthach as she walked over to the sword.

"Let's see if I can pull it out," said Scáthach, grabbing the sword. Initially, nothing happened. Then the pedestal glowed, and the pedestal broke apart. Lifting the sword up from the broken pedestal. "So, I am the hero, then?"

"Yes, that is the case," I said. Looked around at the area, "What is that?" pointing at a set of double doors.

"That looks like a doorway," said Cipher, walking towards the double doors. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's get moving on."

"OK, OK. We are coming," said Scáthach, walking with the sword in her hand.

Looking around at where the sword was held. "Oh, here is the scabbard for the sword. Scáthach wait until you need the scabbard," I said, running to the right where the double doors were.

"Oh, I see. Could I have it then?" asked Scáthach, holding out her hand.

"Yes, here you go," I said, handing over the scabbard.

"Hey, you two, I need help to open this door. It's too heavy for one person to open alone," said Cipher, opening the door.

"Let's get the door opened right now," I said, pushing at the door.

The doors swung open and a room with seven colossal statues lining the room in a semi-circle shape. The statues all had weapons except for one. Starting from the left statue, we had a spear. The one next to the one on the far left had two knives. The third statue on the left side had a bow and arrows. The middle statues with nothing on it. The statue to the right of the middle statue had a mace in one hand. The statue to the right of the mace hand is a morning star. That last statue had a glaive in one hand.

"This is a weird place," said Cipher as she looked around the room.

"There are seven weapons, so are there seven heroes?" asked Scáthach, looking at the statues.

"That I am unsure of. That said that would not surprise me at all," I said, walking to the bow and arrows.

"Well then, take the weapons that are your specialty," said Cipher.

"That is true. Then what are we waiting to grab your knives?" I said.

"You grab that bow and arrows," said Cipher.

"I was wondering why you were using your brother's spear and not your knives?" asked Scáthach, looking over at Cipher.

"He left it when the elf took him away, so I don't want to have his spear not be touched," said Cipher.

"I see then. What should we do about the other weapons?" I asked, putting the bow and arrow holder on. That was on my back. Then put the quiver in the bow and arrow holder.

"Are those arrows changing colors?" Scáthach pointed at one arrow.

"Yes, you are right," I said, taking out one arrow from the quiver. The arrow glowed like the lighting was coursing through the arrow itself.

"That is one weird arrow," said Cipher, sheathing the new dagger.

"Those daggers are weird because they made the daggers out of tungsten," I said, pointing at the daggers.

"Oh, I see then. That makes sense. That said, how do you know that?" asked Cipher with a curious look on her face.

"I don't know for sure," I said, turning back towards the door.

"I see then. Let's get out of here and see if there is a way to the entrance of the vault," said Scáthach, walking out of the room.

The doors to that room closed behind me and then vanished.

"Well, that means that we can't go back to the room at all," said Cipher.

"So, what are we going to do right now?" I asked, looking around the room.

"I thought you heard us talking. We are heading back to the entrance to the vault," said Scáthach, walking toward the stairs.

"I wonder what our adventurers are doing right now?" I asked, looking around. Then, a familiar that was in the shape of a snake came towards us.

"Good, you are OK. you are the last group to exit the vault and get up to the entrance as soon as possible. We need to talk," said Max through his familiarity.

"OK, we will see you up there," I said, walking up the stairs.

"That will take us two hours to get back up there," said Cipher, looking annoyed at Max's familiarity.

"Then you will start heading back," said Max through his familiar.

"We will see you when we get up there. Since it will take less time since there are no monsters in the vault at the moment," I said.

"See you soon then," said Max through his familiarity. The snake turned and left up the stairs. After the snake left, we as a group continued to climb up to the entrance to the vault.

"So, we now have cleared the first vault less." said Scáthach, holding up her new sword. "The design of the quillon to the pummel differs from other swords. Could you tell me why is that?"

"It was made three hundred years ago," I said, continuing to walk past the ninth floor.

We climbed up the stairs till we reached the entrance to the vault.

"See, you made it up to the entrance in one hour," said Max as he walked over to us. "Now it's time for your debrief. The other groups did theirs already and left to head back," said Max, leading us to three separate tents that were established. "Now, if you, please, excuse me for a moment, I will head into this tent."

"Is it just me or to you also does Max seem all over the place at the moment?" asked Scáthach, looking at the other two.

"No, your eyes don't judge you at all. You saw that correctly," I said.

"Does that mean since Scáthach pulled that sword from the ground she is the hero? Also, does that mean that she needs to fight the force of evil?" asked Cipher, looking around.

"Yes, that is the case, though that said I sensed one issue. That issue is this: if I am the hero then why do you know so much about, Wren?" asked Scáthach.

Sighing out loud. "I don't know at the moment I do," I said, looking around at the two of them.

"Is that why you can talk to the gods when no one else can?" asked Scáthach as she turned towards one tent.

"Yes, that is correct," I said, walking into another tent.

"That is just me here. Oh well, I still need to do the debriefing," said Cipher, walking into the last tent.

"OK, that took like one entire hour to do. Could you tell me why so many questions? My brain hurts," said Scáthach, stretching her arms out over her head.

"Don't know and don't care. I am hungry for some food," said Cipher, looking around. "Where is Wren? Shouldn't he be here too?"

"Yes, I am here. What is going on?" I asked to step out of the tent.

"You took longer than us two, but just by a few seconds," said Scáthach, shaking her head. "Now that we are done here, come we get a move on?"

"Time to head back to the capital then," said Cipher, smiling as she walked faster.

"I wonder what the guild master will say once we tell him what happened," I said, staring straight ahead.

"That is true. The only way to see what he has to say is to talk to him, right?" I said, looking at the other two.

"It's still going to take us two days to get to the capital," said Scáthach.

"That is true. Let's see what the guild master has to say," I said.

"Well then, let's get moving on and get to our destination. To the capital," said Cipher as she ran north.

"Could you tell me why does she always wants to go fast? I thought assassins needed to be sneaky?" I asked to look at Scáthach, who was walking right beside me.

"That is true, but right now she doesn't need to sneak around all the time," said Scáthach.

"That makes sense to me," I said, keeping up my pace to keep up with Cipher.

"Wait for me. That said, I can keep up with you two easily," said Scáthach.

"I wonder what we will run into on our way back to the capital?" I asked, looking around at the rolling hills and winding trails.

"That is a significant question. One that I don't have the answer to at all," said Scáthach, also looking around at the area. "That said, it will be a radical idea to keep our guards up just in case."

"True, that would be the best course of action to take," I said as I continued to walk.

"Do we need to be on our best behavior?" asked Cipher looking around the area. "I don't see anyone that we need to respect at all out here,"

Laughing at Cipher, "Yes, that is true since we are in the middle of nowhere at the moment," I said, walking ahead of the group.

"OK. OK. You proved your point, Wren. Let's continue to walk to the capital," said Cipher.

"So now that we are done talking…" The rest of what Scáthach was saying got cut off by a loud noise.

"What is that noise? It sounds like a horse." I said, looking around the plains.

Rawr! Rawr!

"Did anyone hear that?" asked Cipher, looking around the area. "I wonder what that noise was?"

"Does it have something to do with that?" Scáthach asked, pointing at a bear.

"Where did that bear come from? It looks all black," I said, pulling out my bow and knocking an arrow onto it.

"Wren, watch what you do. You don't want to provoke the bear," said Scáthach, reaching out her hand.

"Uh, Scáthach it is too late for that," said Cipher pulling out her dagger.

"What do you mean by that? Oh, that is the way," said Scáthach, seeing the black bear running directly towards us.

"What do you want to do about the charging bear?" I asked as I pulled the string to get ready to release the arrow.

"Ready for battle!!" Yelled Scáthach, charging the black bear with the hero's sword in one hand.

"Cipher, can you get in close to the bear?" I asked, shooting another arrow at the bear.

"I can see what I can do," said Cipher, disappearing into the air.

"OK then, now that she is gone to do whatever she does now?" asked Scáthach, looking around.

"We need to continue to attack," I said, "shooting the bear with the normal arrows that I have. I don't want to use my new bow and arrows. Till I know they are safe to use in battles,"

"That makes sense to me. You wonder not to want to use them just yet," said Scáthach, slashing with the hero's sword. "That said, we still need to figure out what these new weapons can do."

"You make a point in that regard," I said as I shot another arrow into the bear.

"Is it just me or does the bear seem to get angrier?" asked Scáthach as she looked at the bear.

Just as Scáthach said that, the bear was like rawr again, and this time charged at Scáthach.

"Great, I thought about what to do."

"Scáthach watch out, the bear is about to…," I could not finish my sentence when Scáthach got bit by the bear. "Cipher, can you handle the bear? I need to attend to Scáthach's wounds,"

"On it. I will keep the bear distracted. May I ask if you would deal with her injury?" said Cipher for some direction.

"OK, thanks, I will join you as soon as I can," I said, making my way to where Scáthach was lying down with an enormous mark on her shoulder. "Don't move around too much. It will only make the wound worse than it already is."

"OK, that makes sense, but it still hurts like hell," said Scáthach as she touched the bite mark on her shoulder.

"That would not be an idea…" I was about to continue what I was saying.

"Ow, that hurt like hell," Yelled Scáthach as she winced a little.

"Of course, it will hurt. You have a bite on your shoulder. Let me see what I can do about that wound," I said, looking at the wound.

"Let me see if I have a turn-a-kit that we can use for the moment," I said, taking off my pack from my back. Then placing it down to see what I was caring for.

"Can you please hurry, Wren?" Asked Scáthach.

"This can't be rushed. If that happens, it will be worse for you," I said, looking at Scáthach while shaking my head back and forth.

"Ok. Ok. I won't move around that much, so hurry so that you can help Cipher after," said Scáthach.

"On it then, can you please stay still and be quiet," I said, wrapping the turn-a-kit around Scáthach's shoulder.

"Staying still even though I don't want to stay still at all," said Scáthach.

"There we go. That should do the trick for the moment. Well, until we get you to a doctor," I said.

"Thanks for the help, need to help Cipher out," said Scáthach.

"Right, stay here and stay hidden for the moment," I said, heading out to see where Cipher was.

"Do we have a map of the world or do we need to go to the guildhall to see that?" I asked.

"We have a map of the world and the region," said Cipher, pulling out the world map.

On one content we have the Aler Kingdom, Forest of Evergreen, merchant nation of Amber, Mining nation of Delves, Theocracy of Alabaster, The Kingdom of Almar, Republic of Bret, Dictatorship of Wimes, Socialist state of Thearp, Theocracy of Graze, the Federation of Tret, Kingdom of Snara, Kingdom of Ash all of that.

"We know not much about the countries that are outside of this content. For now, it is a mystery what the other nations on the other pages are doing," said Scáthach, looking at the map.

"So, the mystery nations and contents we know nothing about and they have been around the same time as the nations on this content, if not more?" I asked, looking at the map.

"So, the only place that has vaults is this content," said Cipher, pointing at the continent that we were on.

"Well, as far as we know, yes that is the case," said Scáthach, also looking at the map.

"Crap, we need to get a move on like right now," I said, collecting speed.

"What is his problem? It's not like we can get to the capital that easily. Wait, no we can, right?" asked Cipher looking at Scáthach.

"Do you remember the fire wolves?" Scáthach looked at Cipher.

"Yes, I remember that quest that we heard. What about that?" asked Cipher, looking at Scáthach.

"Yes, that one. Now we can travel quicker," said Scáthach.

"Now the question is how are we going to get back to the capital?" I asked.

"I wonder what the guild master has to say," said Scáthach, looking around the area.

"Scáthach, why are you looking around the area? It's not like another bear will attack us," I said, looking at Scáthach.

"Never say never. It can happen again and anywhere," said Scáthach, looking at the other two people.

"OK then, what is the plan to get back to the capital?" asked Cipher looking around.

"That is a significant question. One that I need to think about before I answer that question," I said as I continued to walk toward the capital. "That said, it has been getting late. We will call it a night for tonight."

"That makes total sense to me. Let's set up camp for the night," said Scáthach, setting down her backpack on the ground.

We set down our packs on the ground. Then got the tents out of our backpacks.

"What are we going to do with the tents that we are using right now after we are done with this quest?" asked Cipher, putting up the last of the poles that held up the tent that she will sleep in.

"That is a significant question that we can answer after we set out our tents," said Scáthach, looking around the area that we were in.

"Since we are on the plains, there is no way for anyone or anything to attack us," I said, putting the least of the tent stakes into the ground.

"Yes, that is true. There is nothing to worry about. It's not like the bandits that we fought near Cipher's and Grey's hometown," said Scáthach, taking a step back from the tent that she established. "That said, we should still have our guards up and sleep in shifts."

"I see what you're saying, and that makes sense to me. Let's do that then," I said, looking at the other two that were struggling to establish their tents.

"Oh, which reminds me we still need to get food for tonight for dinner," said Cipher, looking around the area.

"Yes, that is true. We need food for tonight," I said, looking around and then spotting something in the distance to the northwest. "Hey, you two, what does that look like to you?"

"What does look like to us?" asked Scatach, looking in the same direction.

"I don't know what that is, but it looks big," said Cipher, getting up from the ground. "It also looks like it's heading this way as well,"

"Well, that is great. We will get ready for whatever that is," I said, pulling out my bow and knocking an arrow into it.

"Yes, that would be the wise idea to do," said Scáthach, pulling out her sword from its scabbard. That was on the left side of her waist.

"What do you think the thing is?" I asked, aiming at the creature.

"That is a significant question that I don't have the answer to at the moment," said Scáthach, clenching the hilt of the sword.

"Could you tell me why don't we use the new weapons that we got from the first vault?" asked Cipher. "That way, we see what the new weapons that we got can do."

"Even though I agree with you, there are still too many unknowns at the moment. That said, we can't get the unknown things without testing the new weapons,"

"Well, will we ever talk about that? That thing is it's getting closer and closer, so hurry and decide," I said, shooting an arrow toward the beast. The arrow missed by a few inches.

"That was close to Cipher getting ready. We need to help Wren," said Scáthach, charging at the beast.

"OK then, let's do this thing," said Cipher as she disappeared, leaving the campsite behind.

"Great, and now I am the only one defending the camp. This is great," I said, knocking another arrow and releasing it. It swerved through the air and landed right in the beast's eye. The beast bellowed and charged at the campsite.

"Wren, you need to get out of there before you are injured," said Scáthach, slashing at the beast. "Could you tell me why is it hidden so strongly?"

"I don't know the answer to that question at all. That said, we need to find its weak spot," said Cipher, slashing at the beast with her knives.

"Will knives be able to get through this beast?" asked Scáthach, slicing at the beast with no damage to the beast at all.

"I wonder how Grey is faring after Silen took him away from the group," said Scáthach with a curious look on her face.

"We can talk about Grey more after this beast is dead. Also, find out why this beast attacked us and what kind of beast it was," I said.

In the Forest of Elvergreen

"Where are you taking me? I said that I am sorry for calling you that," said Grey, looking around at the trees. Just as he said that, a beam of white light lit up the sky.

"May I ask if you would be quiet!" yelled Silen, turning back around and continuing to walk toward the capital of the elves.

"This way to the capital," said Silen, pulling Grey up the wooden stairs.

"Where are you taking me? I would like to know at least that," said Grey, looking around at the elves. "Are you wood elves?"

"In here and stay here till we need you," said Silen, pushing Grey into a cell. Then pulling a lever and the cell increased into the air. "See you later, Grey," said Silen, walking away from the cells.

"Elder, I am back from my exception," said Silen, kneeling on one leg.

"Ah, my dear daughter, what brings you back here so soon?" asked the elder.

"A human, your majesty, one that called me a slave to the Sirn household," said Selin.

"I would like to see this human for myself," said the elder.

"As you wish, Father. If you, please, follow me," said Silen, standing out and turning to head out of the hut.

"Where is this person who you told me about?" asked the Elder looking up at the cages. "What is that?"

Looking up at the cages to see Grey in one of them.

"Hi, can I please get down from here?" asked Grey, looking at Silen.

"No, you do not get down from there. Unless the elders of this village, and the capital say so," said Silen, kneeling on the floor of one platform that surrounded the trees.

"You must be the person who called her a slave," said the elder, looking up at Grey with anger in his eyes.

"Yes, I said that, and I said sorry for that too," said Grey, looking at the elder. "Could I please get down from here?"

"No, you may not get down from there," said the elder, turning his back to Grey.

"I wonder what will happen to me, then?" asked Grey, looking around and down at the ground.

"Your majesty Gred, sir, a message from the adventurer's guild," said one of the elf guards as she knelt on the ground.

"Give it here then let's see what this message has to say," said Gred, taking the letter from the guard. "I see they want him back and that they are sending an escort as well. Will be here in three days as well,"

"Your majesty, may I please see the letter?" asked Silen, holding out her hand to her father.

"Here you go, Silen. Why do you want the letter?" asked Gred, handing over the letter to Silen with a curious look on his face. "I wonder what she is going to do with the letter?"

"Who is coming to the Forest of Elvergreen?" said Silen, looking at the letter that was in her hands. "It doesn't say who will come at all. It also said that they will choose the escort here in three days!"

"That is interesting to hear. Back to the matter at hand," said Gred.

"Yes, what to do with the human that we have in a cage," said Silen, looking at Grey.

"Let's leave him here for the moment. He still needs to eat and drink," said Gred, turning around and walking away.

"OK, so what are you going to do with me?" asked Grey, looking down at Silen.

"At the moment, I said, nothing right now. That is not for me to decide on," said Silen, walking away from Grey.

"Great, I will wait here then. Not like I can get to the ground anyway," said Grey, sitting on the floor of the cage.

"Silen," said Gred, looking at Silen.

"Yes, your majesty, what is it?" asked Silen, looking at her father.

"Draft up a document so that we can get ready for the envoy from the Aler kingdom," said Gerd.

"As you command, your majesty," said Silen, bowing her head and leaving to write up that plan.

"OK, now his majesty, it's time to figure out the plan for the envoy to the forest of Evergreen," said Silen jumping for the platform onto the nearest big branch, and making her way down to the forest floor below. "OK, now that I am on the ground it's time to look for food for the guest to eat,"

Looking at what Silen did. "I can't do that. It is too scary to do," said Grey, looking down at the ground from the cage that suspended him from.

"Let's see what I can get for the guests when they arrive here," said Silen, looking around the forest itself. "Oh, that mushroom is edible to eat. Let's get that,"

"Your Majesty looks like your daughter is having fun grabbing the supplies for the guest that will arrive in a week," said Prime Minister Glade.

"Yes, she is hoping that the boy that she grew up with will be a part of the envoy here," said Gred as he sat on his throne of wood.

"What do you mean, sir?" asked Prime Minister Glade.

"It was a boy named Wren, a human boy," said Gred, looking around the palace.

"Can you please explain that to me?" asked Prime Minister Glade.

"Once she somehow got away from the guards and got into the Siren's house. Luckily, we were heading there anyway," said Gred.

"That is good to hear. You must also be getting ready for the guest," said Prime Minister Glade.

"Yes, that is what we need to figure out as well," said Gred, thinking about what to do.

"What guests will come here?" asked Silen walking around the forest. "Well, then I will figure out what I can find around the forest."

Silen jumped over trees and tree stumps. Running with deer and elk.

"Not counting the earlier time. When was the last time I talked to Wren?" said Silen as she thought about what she could help her father with. "I wonder

if everything is going to be alright,"

Silen walked around the forest until she stumbled across a tall wooden structure.

"What is this place and why is it here?" asked Silen, looking at the building.

 "Ruble" What was that noise?"

Silen looked around the woods to see where that noise was coming from.

"OK, must be nothing to worry about then. Time to see what this building is," said Silen, going into the building.

In the elf capital

"What is taking Silen so long?" asked Gred looking around the building.

"That is a brilliant question, sir, "Do you want me to send a search party out to find her?" asked Prime Minister Glade.

"Yes, and bring her back safely as well," said Gred, walking out of the room.

"As you command, sir," said Prime Minister Glade, bowing to Gred. "Guards, come to me right now!"

"Prime Minister Glade, you called for us. What do you need?" asked the Elf Captain.

"Vulas, the princess is gone into the forest somewhere. Can you please find her and bring her back?" asked Prime Minister Glade.

"As you command, sir," said Vulas, bowing his head. "Where in the forest are you, Silen? Well, it's no use dwelling on it. Time to get a move on and find her."

"That I don't know. All I know is that she went down into the forest." Said Prime Minister Glade.

"I see well then I will be off to find her and bring her back to the capital," said Vulas as he bowed his head.

"Where could you have gone, my daughter." said Gred, as he sat on a rug that was on the floor of the hut.

"You heard our leader, we need to find his daughter and bring her back right now." said Vulas.

"On it." said the other elves.

Meanwhile

"Hey Wren, why do you think the queen called us?" asked Cipher as she looked around at the castle. The castle itself was ornate, it had blue details lining the outside. The blue details that doted the castle wherein a shape like diamonds. White marble made up the castle.

"I don't know what the queen wants with us, but there is only one way that we can find out." I said looking up at the castle. "It has been a while since I was here last,"

"Yes, the last time that you were here you were on trial." said Scáthach, as she looked around the castle grounds.

"Don't remind me that was bad," I said looking around the area.

"Ah, you have arrived, will you follow me," said a servant as she bowed her head towards Scáthach.

"Where is the queen?" asked Scáthach, looking at the servant.

"She is in the throne room," said the servant, as she turned and went the other direction.

"Well, what are we waiting for, let's go and see the queen," I said, turning and walking in the direction of the throne room.

"OK, let's see what the queen wants from us," said Cipher walking right behind me.

"Wait up you two, wait for me," said Scáthach as she ran after the other two.

"Your majesty, the adventurers that you requested have arrived," said one of the guards at the entrance of the throne room.

"Bring them in, right now," said the Queen Janice.

The doors to the throne room swung open to reveal the Queen Janice. We walked up to the throne, and knelt with one knee bent and the other on the ground.

"You called for us your majesty?" asked Scáthach as she looked up at her mother.

"Yes, there is supposed to be an envoy of delegates that are going to the forest of Elvergreen." said Queen Janice.

"OK, do you want us to protect the envoy with just three adventurers?" asked Scáthach.

"The envoy of delegates only consists of two people," said Queen Janice, as she looked down at the three adventurers.

Thinking to herself. ("Now I am wondering who are the two delegates.") I Thought, looking at the door to the throne room.

"Did someone call for us?"

"Sister, you need to not run off like that,"

"Gunther and Daisy you are late," said Queen Janice looking very annoyed at the two siblings.

"Sorry your Majesty that was late. I tried to get my brother moving as soon as I could," said Daisy as she knelt on the ground.

"Is that an excuse that I hear?" asked Queen Janice getting angrier. "Never mind that to the business at hand. These adventurers that you see before you are going to be your escorts to the Forest of Elvergreen."

"From the last time that we did that route. It took us two days to get back to the capital." I said looking at the other two adventurers in the party.

"It would be so much easier if we also had my brother with us," said Cipher, as she looked at the ground.

"I know that would be helpful, but he is not here at the moment, so we just need to deal with the number of adventurers in our party." said Scáthach.

"Then go now onwards to the forest of Elvergreen," said Queen Janice raising her hand in the direction of the throne room doors.

"As you command." said the adventurers and delegates together. As they bowed and walked out of the throne room.

"OK, we need to get supplies for the journey," exclaimed Scáthach, looking around at the other four people. "What did I say something wrong?"

"No, you did not say anything wrong," I said looking at the rest of the group. "Let's go and get the supplies."

"We should probable find a place that we can meet after we get our supplies of the trip, since it will take us two full days to get to our destination." said Cipher, as she looked around at the group.

"Yes, that does make sense to me." I said as I started to think about where to meet for the trip to the Forest of Elvergreen.

"Oh! I can think of one thing that we can go," said Cipher looking at the group.

"Where do you think, we can go to meet?" I asked looking at Cipher.

"The gate at the entrance of the capital," exclaimed Daisy looking around at the group.

"That could work. What do you all think?" asked Scáthach.

"So, meet at the gate in one hour then?" asked Gunther looking at the group.

"Yes, that would be a good. That said since the two of you are in our care for the delegation of this trip I suggest the you take one of us with you to keep you safe," said Scáthach, as she looked at the two delegates.

"True that makes sense to me. What do you think brother?" asked Daisy looking at her brother.

"That makes sense to me, but I am wondering who will come with us?" asked Gunther.

"Wren what are your thoughts on who to watch these two?" asked Cipher as she looked around the group.

"That is a great question that you just said. I am sorry but at the moment I can't think of anything." I said looking around at the people that where here.
