Act XIII: Fragile and on the verge of breaking,

"I arrived too early..." I took a deep breath and clutched the strap of my bag. We're now in front of a coffee shop, and I'm not overly excited because I was ahead of him. It's a good thing he's running late. I chose the meeting location and made sure it was far from the university, not because I didn't trust him, but because I was afraid Trixie would appear out of nowhere and accuse me of stealing her boyfriend, especially since she knows I like Trigo.

"Sky darling how are you?"

An elderly lady greeted me as I walked in. I bowed and smiled. "I'm fine, Grandma Nena," she said as she stroked my cheek. "You haven't visited in weeks and you're getting even more handsome," she joked, my cheeks flushed with embarrassment because I come here whenever I have free time. Most of them know who I am, and Grandma Nena owns and manages the shop. Every time I come here, some people mistake me for her grandchild.

"Sit there and I'll prepare your order for you; is it still the same menu?" I nodded and sat. I mostly sat near the windows because I was fascinated by what was going on outside. "Please add a glass of black coffee,"I suddenly muttered, Grandma Nena look at me, smirking. "You have a date today, and who is it?" she inquired, making me flustered once more and scratching my nape in embarrassment.

"That's just a friend, grandma," I replied, shaking my head. she didn't ask again and instead directed her baristas to complete my orders. Miskha, one of the waiters here who had become my friend as a result of too much gossip, waved at me. Maybe he told me the whole story of his life every time he served my orders.

I took a look at my watch. Trigo was five minutes late, or perhaps he didn't know where he was. I almost forget that I didn't bring him because he was always on a date with Trixie. I also texted him, but he didn't respond.

"Sky!"

I nearly screamed when Miskha appeared in front of me holding my orders, the speed. Why are you only now paying us a visit? "You know, I don't have anyone to talk to here because they don't like me because I'm too close to Madam," he said as he set the tray in front of me and continues to talk. I sighed and let him speak.

"Serve it, Miskha!"

When another barista called to order him, he came to a halt. He quickly said goodbye to me, and I thanked him before he left. I've already started drinking the coffee I ordered because I didn't get to eat anything before coming here, and while Trigo is away, I'll gather courage so that I can properly talk to him.

I've been here for nearly five hours and Trigo is unable to arrive. Miskha has returned to speak with me, as has grandma Nena. I've decided to return home. "Please wrap it up. Maybe the person I'm waiting for won't show up," Miskha said sadly, "You shouldn't give people like that time, there are many others out there," which made me smile as well.

"All right, and I'll wrap it up; please tip me!" he said, and I nodded.

I watched him walk away while also paying the cashier. When Grandma Nena hugged me, I was taken aback. "If you have a problem, please let me know. You should know that I treat you like a grandchild." I nodded because I didn't want to talk and risk crying in front of her. I said my goodbyes to her and left after I finished wrapping what I needed to wrap.

Trigo has simply made me look like a fool. I should not have agreed to what he wanted, and I, the idiot, immediately believed it. I just wish I had known this was going to happen. "You're a moron, Sky." I just felt like a little bit of liquid from my eyes was helping. I wiped it because it's embarrassing that I'm still in public, and they might think I'm a weak man because of it.

I looked for a spot to sit on a nearby bench in case someone else was already there. I couldn't stop crying, especially because I needed to let out all of my resentment and pain; I sat here without telling the owner that if I could sit down, I would embarrass myself and let out all of the pain I felt.

When someone handed me a tissue a few minutes later, I started crying. He didn't even speak a word when I looked up at him. I felt at ease with him despite the fact that I didn't know him. I thanked him by taking it from his hand once, and he quickly left. I had no idea who he was.

I just sighed and got up to go home, but what I saw was something I had never seen before. Trigo and Trixie could be seen in the distance.
