If you like mechs and stories where our world enters the stage of intergallactic empires then you will probably enjoy this. The MC is very much someone who likes to hide their strength and resources, choosing to enjoy the process of getting to know people and forming bonds on the battefield. While a lot of women are attracted to him, this luckily doesn't seem to be going the harem route either. There are also some mysteries around his birth and background which are slowly unfolding too, which adds some more depth to the character development. The blurb really doesn't do this book any favours as it doesn't really capture the world building or overall story well. I'm enjoying it so far and just hope it doesn't get dropped so we can eventually uncover all the secrets.
