I'll Take you Home

Ying Yue hastily rushed in, crouching beside her unconscious friend whose temperature seemed to have suddenly heightened uncontrollably.

"Lord, Yu Yan! what happened to you?!!" She shook her friend with the attempt to wake her up but to her dismay, she wasn't responding.

The entrance to the bathroom was suddenly crowded with students who stared in puzzlement, also oblivious to the scene being displayed in front of them as uneven whispers flowed across the bathroom.

Yi Fan, noticing the amount of students gathered around the entrance of the girls bathroom. Easily made his way in only to find Yu Yan unconscious on the tiled floor, his eyes dilated for a moment cause he wasn't expecting to find her in this condition. His dour gaze landed on the three girls who instantly panicked just from the look in his eyes, most especially Nia Xing who held a stick.

Meeting Yi Fan's gaze, she immediately threw away the stick before he misunderstood the situation, shaking her head in order to explain what really happened.

"I didn't touch her... believe me...she just…"

But he rudely ignored her, averting his gaze and hurried over to Yu Yan on the ground, lifting her in his arms and carrying her out of the bathroom. The students were in absolute shock at his inexplicable act, he barely talks to anyone in Jixia but always runs to Yu Yan whenever she is in some danger.

Yu Yan could feel in her sub conscious state how she was effortlessly lifted from the ground into the strong arms of someone. It felt protective, like she was being shielded from the harsh stares she felt were piercing through her back. She's never felt anything like this before and what's more surprising, the pain on her neck was starting to deplete. Her eyes slowly fluttered open, exposing her caramel brown eyes but her vision was a blur. The mark didn't hurt anymore but it still left an undenying feeling at the depth of her.

Yi Fan instinctively met her blurry gaze and her eyes slowly closed back, unable to keep them open for too long, resting her small head on his chest as he carried her away. That sudden beat in his heart quickened at her innocuous act.

"You better be alright."

He took her immediately to the infirmary.

Zhang Fei who rested his back casually on his locker with a book in hand didn't miss the whole scene that happened. He closed the book and a slow smile carved on his lips.

Ying Yue glared at the Panthers who were more worried about being spotted by the idol.

"If anything happens to Yu Yan, be prepared to face the repercussions of your act!" Ying Yue was so close to losing it and pouncing on the Panthers and knowing Ying Yue's martial strength, they didn't dare utter a word.

"Sheeesh!! I warned you three to stay faraway from my Yu Yan but you…"

The Panthers, immediately sensing her anger took a step back but didn't refrain from speaking in their callous tone.

"We never touched her, it's useless wasting our strength on someone like her so stop trying to put the false accusations on us."

"False accusation?" Ying Yue let out a sigh, she has a friend to worry about but will definitely deal with this scoundrels later.

Zhang Fei watched with interest seeing the strange, brave girl stand up for Yu Yan.

"Yu Yan sure has protective friends."

Yi Fan stayed with Yu Yan as the nurse quickly examined her, Yu Yan remained unconscious and a part of Yi Fan stung, unable to stop himself from worrying about her. It's his duty to protect her after all, he made a promise and that, he wasn't willing to break.

"How is she?" Yi Fan finally asked, unable to deal with the suspense. The young nurse finally turned to look at him with a reassuring smile.

"She's alright, I don't sense any illness but her body seems weak, her temperature has risen but it suddenly cooled off the minute you brought her here."

"So…"

"She should avoid anything which causes stress, I'll prescribe a few medicines for her."

Yi Fan only nodded in response, the nurse shyly turned away from him and finished her work. Yi Fan knew exactly what had caused her to pass out, the reason she became fine all of a sudden was because of their closeness. The mark she bore was a 'nexus', a bonding mark which had, without any warning, chosen to bond with him.

He felt the bond the moment he crossed path with her the other day.

It's the only problem Zhang Fei unfortunately has with him now, if she bared the nexus mark, it'll be hard, most especially for him to carry out the promise he made but there was one thing he couldn't afford to do and that was to break a promise.

Ying Yue rushed into the infirmary, startling the poor Yi Fan who was lost in thought's.

"Is my Yu Yan alright?" She worriedly asked the nurse who nodded in response.

"Yes she's fine."

Yi Fan didn't let himself get noticed and quietly stepped out of the infirmary, only to end up meeting Zhang Fei's teasing gaze.

"Don't give me that look." His words were like a knife slicing through air but Zhang Fei inched closer to him instead, no matter how harsh he might sound, it wasn't enough to make Yi Fan hurt him. "Have you changed your mind?"

"No." He replied, taking a step forward. "The first step of the plan commences today."

"You're still going ahead with it?"

"I never said I wasn't." His tone made it clear he doesn't want the discussion to be elucidated further. He walked off and Zhang Fei didn't dare to utter another word.

The rest of school hours passed by, Yi Fan finally showed up at the infirmary, Yu Yan sat comfortably on the bed, she was slowly getting down from the bed with Ying Yue supporting her.

"I'll take you home."

Yu Yan shook her head in protest. "No, you have an art gallery to attend today, don't worry about me, I can go by myself."

"What makes you think I'd easily believe that? I can't take the risk of letting you go alone."

Yu Yan rolled her eyes, she's totally not going to let Ying Yue miss her art gallery all because of her, but how will she stop her since her over protective friend is adamant on taking her home.

"I'll take her home." The low addictive pitch voice caught their attention they raised their heads to gaze at the handsome being in front of them.

"You're here?" Yu Yan unfeignedly asked, he was the last person she ever thought would come check on her.

He walked up to her while Ying Yue stared in admiration, adjusting her glasses with the hopes she wasn't imagining such captivating being at her presence but he had his gaze locked on Yu Yan.

"I'll take you home."

Yu Yan immediately shook her head in disapproval, she's already facing troubles just because of him, she possibly can't imagine what would happen if he takes her home in front of everyone.

"I can go by myself."

"Don't act stubborn, you can barely stand."

"Of course I can! I'm not that weak." She really wasn't liking the fact everyone saw her as a powerless being who needed urgent help.

"You aren't, your friend has something important to do, I'm doing her a favor by helping you out."

"Sheesh, I don't accept…"

"Yes, please take her home cause the Yu Yan that I know will surely pass out before getting to her destination." Ying Yue finally intervened, making Yi Fan turn his attention to her while Yu Yan stared like she just got betrayed.

"Of course, I'll be glad to lessen your burden."

Yu Yan blinked at him in disbelief. "Burden??" How dare he call her a burden, her face slowly twisting into one of anger, she clenched her fist and raised it to hit him but he surprisingly caught her hand midair making her gasp.

His alluring dark eyes unhurriedly retracted back to her, making her gulp in fear.

"Big mistake."

And in one swift move, he had lifted her in his arms making her big eyes widen at his act.

"Wh….what are you doing??"

Ying Yue stifled a laugh at how shocked her friend looked, the both of them looked like enemies who were ready to tear at each other but they seemed oblivious to the intimacy each act carried.

"Shut up or I'll drop you."

Yu Yan choked on her words and remained quiet, she couldn't imagine being dropped to the hard floor, she's experienced enough pain for today.

Yi Fan took her out of the infirmary, Ying Yue stared wide-eyed at them, how did Yu Yan get to know such enchanting beings??

"She calls me her best friend but didn't inform me she knows such handsome guys, I wonder how many more she knows off."

Zhang Fei rested his back on the dark RV parked outside of school, fortunately there weren't any reporters at sight and his location was a bit far from where students would ever think of coming, he glanced through his phone, wearing a dark shade as the sun casted a warm glow over his milky skin, his appearance was definitely one to be captured.

A sigh escaped from his lips as he glanced around the area.

"I sure hope Yi Fan knows exactly what he's doing??"
