Letting In Too Many

Megan had left a long time ago to the venue because Jace had told her to meet him there.

Since there was not much time to waste, the other girls had a simple breakfast made by Flore, took selfies with her and hurried away in two different cars.

" The cars will stop at San Frances, that's where we stored our clothings and yours especially", Lily Rose said with all seriousness but little did she know that Mabel was barely with her right now.

Mabel was fiddling with her fingers as her eyes remained trained on one place all through. Lily Rose, Lina and Lyra took the same car as her but she couldn't even tell if the car was moving or not, that was how deep in thoughts she was.

Yes! The activities from last night made her forget her worries for a while and a goodnight sleep as well but now it was today, D-Day.

She thought back to the time in her life when this Saturday was meant to be spent reading books, visiting the town library and eating cereals. How much had her life changed? Was she letting in too many people?

She took in deep breaths to calm herself down but couldn't, she finally recovered for a while when the back seat of the car door opened and Lily Rose urged her out.

She looked around to see they were parked in front of a tall looking building and not far away was the entrance to the beach which was now a complete different arena. This wedding occasion was really serious, she took in a lot of air before accompanying the girls inside to get dressed.

Megan was busy arranging chairs and supervising when Jace sneaked behind her and scared the hell out of her. She yelled and leaped away from him but when she saw him chuckling deeply she sighed.

" The moment I start to think of you as mentally stable you do something Psychotic", she said sarcastically, that scare really was ugly. Who still did that at this age?

" I can't help it, if I don't show symptoms in front of you, my day becomes incomplete", he played along before staring at the venue for a while and then back at her. She wasn't dressed that much like Luke and Holden were.

" Am I glad to meet someone sane? You should see Luke and Holden, they look like dummies doing one thing or the other to be perfect, tell me how can I not be mentally unstable when I live with them", he said and she chuckled, he looked a lot cuter when he complained.

" Tell me, did you tell Mabel about your problems?", Jace asked and Megan nodded quietly. She never really told him what the problem was actually about and she didn't plan on telling him either. She wasn't really trusting of everyone, Mabel was just different.

" How did it go?", he asked once more and she stared in between the venue and him. " It was ok, I mean she was there for me, in ways I least expected and that little stunt you pulled there sending all the girls over to her home helped as well", she said and Jace looked elsewhere awkwardly like he wasn't aware of what Megan was talking about.

" Oh please, Dramatic Jace, you ran out of words, why would you send the entire cheerleading squad to Mabel's home?", she asked and when Jace finally stared at her, he gave her the most sweetest and dazzling smile ever that made her stop what she was doing.

" Cheerleaders encourage and they are the bridal assistants, what better way to help Mabel out, I for one knows that Mabel isn't a fan of crowds, so I thought they would ease her. I didn't know you were there", he said softly and just then, one of the assistants from school came to call him and he excused himself from her presence.
