You May NOT Kiss The Bride

The door to the noisy changing room was knocked and Sylvia made her way to open it. Stepping aside, she let a blonde boy in who was dressed in a dark red coloured suit, he had green eyes and he looked like quite the beauty. She didn't even know he existed.

" And who are you?", Lily Rose asked seductively while walking towards him. The boy stared at Lily Rose flustered for a second before replying, " I'm the bride to the father I mean I'm the Father to the bride", he said coughing and turning to Mabel he gave her a cute smile.

" Well then Mabel, we'll be off, have a nice time with your pretend Dad and later I can catch up with him", Lily Rose said and shoved everyone out of the room, before leaving, she gave a nice smile to Mabel and then winked at Mabel's pretend father.

Both the blonde and Mabel were now left in the room together. " Any chance your name is just like my actual father's name?", She asked starting a conversation and he shook his head in response. " Actually my name is Wills James, to be honest I don't even know your Dad's name, I only got to know you because you were the bride of the wedding and also my pretend daughter", he said and she laughed softly.

" I get that a lot but it seems like others don't even know you as well", she said and he laughed too but for a short while before curving his elbow for her to take and Mabel slipped her hand inside while picking her one seed of rose flower. Well it was not an actual wedding so there was no need for a bouquet.

" I have a nice and good looking pretend daughter and I'm proud of myself", he said and she smiled cheekilly from side to side. Wills wasn't her father but he did have that father like atmosphere.

He opened the door and they made their way down the hall and out of the building. On reaching the entrance of the beach, Mabel felt her heart fly to her mouth. The crowd was something she didn't expect, where neighboring towns invited to the play wedding or did other schools decide to join them because these were fresh faces more than her highschool could take.

" Uhh, Mabel this is the part where you take off your shoes because it's an evening wedding at the beach, you would need to feel the sand beneath your feet, trust me it's amazing", he said and she stared at him softly before taking off her shoes.

Her beautiful red gown filled of sparkling diamonds and an amazing cut at the side swept beautifully on the ground as she walked ahead with the blissful song playing in the background.

Wills had a huge smile on his face as he walked along with Mabel, he felt her squeeze his elbows from time to time and he smiled, this was the time for him to put his fatherly teachings to action, more like stuffs he researched online on what fathers should do when sending their children off to a man. How to make their daughter feel comfortable.

" You don't have to be afraid Mabel, he's not scary", he said and Mabel who was already lost in thoughts and looking downwards to avoid attention which was already happening suddenly looked up at him. " Today you are going to get married to the man you love and there's nothing much better than that", he said to have her frown.

" Whoa whoa whoa, no one ever said I loved Luke", Mabel rushed to correct him. Where were all his words coming from? " You don't love Luke?", Wills asked very shocked and she nodded in agreement, she didn't love Luke, just like he was her pretend Dad, Luke was her pretend fiancee. She didn't even know him that well, she only met him at Holden's house when Jace introduced them and when she pranked both him and Jace. They didn't even have a proper relationship.

" Well then I have to ditch that stupid online stuffs I learnt", Wills said to have her frown. He figured since there were still more steps before they arrived at the altar, he had better get to giving her a normal prep talk.

" What's got you all nervous Awwwn? You told me that this is a pretend wedding and am not even your Dad to begin with, these are all people your age, so why are you seeing it like a real wedding?", he asked softly to have her sigh.

No prep talk was going to help her jittery nerves so she didn't even understand why he was trying, they weren't even close and only started talking today. She just remained quiet till he would get the hint that she didn't want to talk about it.

They remained in silence walking ever so slowly that even people started wondering how long it would take them to arrive there. Just as he was about to put her hands in Luke's hand, he met her eyes and squeezed her hand softly telling her through the act to calm down. Mabel gave him her sweet smile, even though she was rude to him earlier, he still reassured her to stay calm.

Thinking about the many people that had advised her to stay calm, a clear smile graced her pouty pink lips. All this people, even though they had fresh faces or not, they weren't going to eat her alive, obviously, if there was anything they came to do was to watch her tie the knot with Luke.

Finally, she stared at Luke, he was looking all beautiful and attractive in the peach colored suit Holden had been putting on, she couldn't help but compare how good it looked on Holden just now. Standing next to both of them was Holden, his face was in a frown but she didn't know why, she just kept holding hands with Luke and smiling awkwardly, she couldn't wait to end all this.

The song stopped and Holden cleared his throat like a priest would. " We.... have fucking gathered here today with the intention of joining both Brown... I mean Mabel Cee and Luke Huxley", he continued speaking for Mabel to sigh. He was a priest for God's sake, couldn't he act mature and refrain from using unacceptable languages.

After a bunch of words and exchange of rings and vows it came to the point that everyone had been waiting for. The moment where the priest would tell both Mabel and Luke to kiss. Holden held everyone in suspense as everyone stared in waiting.

A while after he finally voiced out. " You may not kiss the bride", he said in all seriousness to receive gasps from all except Jace who had a good smirk playing on his face, he expected it.
