"Wow! I didn't know you were good with kids Xiaodi! " Avery was impressed with what she did. She had seen how An Xiaodi handled that boy better than anyone ever did. She felt really good with the way An Xiaodi had disregarded Roland that time.
" It's really nothing much. I guess I tend to understand emotions maybe." An Xiaodi shrugged. She didn't see anything special with what she did.
" I wonder if you have younger siblings that you have such a high sense of responsibility and frankness or maybe you worked as a nanny or babysitter before?" Avery walked along with her till they reached the counters.
" Oh no it's just me– the only child. My parents are dead." An Xiaodi replied." Never had the chance to babysit or even spend time with children. I worked with computers and cashiers."
" Oh they're gone since when?" Avery was nonchalant with her reply and An Xiaodi felt grateful for it.
She hated the way some people faked being sad and then apologize as if they were the ones that killed them or the false pity they displayed from their eyes. It was unnecessary.
" My mum since when I was twelve and my dad three years ago."
" Well now look at you being strong and domineering without them. They raised a good daughter like you and they're lucky forever." Avery eyes winked at her.
An Xiaodi felt touched and she choked back the urge to hug Avery. That was really honest of her to give her a sincere talk.
" Okay so now let us talk about something very important! " Avery clapped her hands and leaned over.
Gossip mode activated.
" So who's your boyfriend?~"
An Xiaodi was immediately stumped by her question as she nearly lost her foot. She regretted ever saying that she had a boyfriend in the first place.
" Erh... You need not to know about him. He's so...um... boring and very lazy... and y-yes he has late... stage... post... cancer of laziness and he's very rich..." She started to fabricate anything in her head as her arms waved around aimlessly.
Avery: "..."
" Tall! Yes, very much tall and athletic build and...he doesn't like people at all as he has OCD!...He doesn't like to go out and he frowns a lot and very much grumpy and unappreciative to other people and has a very rude personality. H-he has... um...big feet and hands and he's very much much good looking..."
An Xiaodi suddenly paused and stopped talking when she realised who she was describing. She was combining the personality of two people at once and the most dominant is the cr*ppy rude guy she met at that interview.
" Go on! Come on he sounds good!" Avery whined.
" N-no no that's quite enough for now. You won't see him." An Xiaodi quickly moved to attend to the costumers that came inside.
She shuddered as she imagined herself with such kind of person. Ptui! ptui! ptui! God forbid! Thank heavens she won't meet such kind of person like that again in life.
Behind her someone's eyes dimmed and they sighed.
...
Well that's new.
Bai Chen decided to go out and participate in sports today. He wore his black headband and wristbands which formed a nice compliment to his blue sportswear. Such a striking image he cut out which attracted quite a lot of stares from the students especially the cheerleaders.
" Ooh! Big brother Chen is out!"
" He looks so dashing like a basketball player."
" Well I hope he will play well today and prove us wrong."
" Prove us wrong? why did you say that?"
" Oh didn't you know?" The girl talking turned to her fellow others and leaned in to whisper in a grim tone as if she divulging a forbidden secret to them.
" The rumours had it that one day at his second year that class A had PHE practice which their sports teacher, Brother Chen was such a lousy student that he ended up hurting the teacher which he was hospitalised for days! He ended up topping PHE class because he was good at written exams and tests!"
" No way!"
" Let's just see whether his classmates were right about it or it was just a rumor. For me I don't think it's possible."
" Let wait and see."
" Hey he picked handball! Let's go watch!"
Across the field, some students were playing handball and each time they'd be given freedom to practice their shots into the post. Everything seemed fun until...
The great chaos arrived.
Bai Chen decided to try handball so he could find his specialty sport. That way his files wouldn't be blank in the sports assessment and hence he would be able to stick in school and graduate free of any kind of hindrance.
He decided that the safest to try was the hand ball.
