Jeanne, Don't Make Me Hate You

Jeanne halted

Keiko raised her head.

Their eyes met silently through the thick glass.

Jeanne looked at her much thinner appearance. Her lips trembled slightly, but she couldn't say a word. Keiko's eyes seemed to have changed a lot. They were once clear and free of distracting thoughts, and she could see through them with a single glance. But now it has become deep and complex—so complex that she couldn't see it through.

Keiko, on the other hand, looked at Jeanne without saying a word. When she saw Jeanne appear, she didn't seem surprised at all. There was no expression on her face, seemingly bereft of emotion.

"Keiko… I miss you…" Jeanne murmured, but Keiko didn't seem to bother to respond.
